God, this is an old round, back when my character was named Weegee DaGooper, I had to leave that round because of IRL reasons but is good to know what happen in that round.

i like the idea of lings but jfc they are pretty much impossible to deal with. Unless youve been in the armory the ling can just kill you with no counterplay. Sec wont notice even if its reported and by then it doesnt matter since youre round removed. I really wish they would make ling less of a murderbone tank that stops people from playing the game

Changeling meta: Insert your own blood into the centrifuge before doing anything to anyone, chem is now full of Blood Kudzu. Do it a second time, and the centrifuge's durability is now used up and it's destroyed. Thankfully they fixed changeling hivemind by making NOT a radio channel.

Why is the admin giving you the run around mid gunfight? You are the Detective, and lying is not against any rule nor is it illegal as long as a prosecution hasn't been made, someone else validhunting and killing an innocent bystander is murder, a crime, and their own fault. Your admin buddy needs to play the game more and admin less.

My main issue with changelings is the RDM maints meta, where changelings will make any reason to get people in maints and RDM them to eat them. This includes wire cutting which makes me want engineering to have guns if we have to put up with that kind of nonsense...

I feel it with "you can't rely on anyone" thing. Got in as a cadet on a certain server, a map I don't really know. Patrolling with an officer we passed several times by a maints bar organized by some folks. Really neat and cozy place, they even made a floor path from the main hall through the maints leading to the place. Pretty popular too. Skip forward like half an hour. A syndie, let's call him Jackie, is being searched for by what feels like everyone. Constant requests of his whereabouts and stuff. I decide to check the maints bar. He's there, chilling with his fellow agent monkey. Well, I'm not super robust, and I really don't wanna fight a 2v1 in a cramped space full of civilians. I call out into sec radio: "Hey, Jackie is in the maints bar, requesting reinforcements." "I repeat, Jackie is in the maints bar, please send help". Having said that, I approach Jackie and begin chatting him up. He's not being aggressive, and doesn't suspect he's wanted because I'm not being aggro at all. We have a conversation for what feels like 5 minutes or more. Nobody's coming. I am getting impatient. Suddenly I hear a question on sec comms: "Hey, so does anyone know where that Jackie guy is?" Again, we have a fully staffed sec department. I'm a cadet who's playing the map for the first time and doesn't really main sec. I walk away from Jackie, who's planning to leave and unload onto the person asking, telling that Jackie hasn't moved an inch in the last 5 minutes and that I reported his whereabouts in the sec channel already. Not without bad words. I tell them to get to the maints bar, to which I receive: "Where's the maints bar?" I don't know, maybe you should know this thing literally every passenger on the station knows?! After explaining the location of maints bar, a single(!) person arrives and we arrest Jackie together. But holy shit did my opinion of other sec players dipped after that.

I was the late join CE on this shift if you want insight on engi they decided to roundstart tesla without knowing how to set it up fast atmos decided it was better to setup a trit farm instead of fixing air and my entire team more or less ignored me the whole time and when I asked them to work on repairs and air I was told to do it myself they weren't going to do anything

I really appreciate these security videos, as it is a very underplayed department. Seeing firsthand experiences helps me work up the courage to eventually try it myself to try to become better at combat in the future. Thank you for your service!

This video is amazing! I spent several hours now watching guides in specifics, but you explanied really basic stuff that helped me beat the anxiety of not knowing how to behave in game (i didnt know there was a mentor tab, for ex)

Imo, you should be able to actually play chess against a simple AI in the chess dimension for your freedom. Both admins and raiders would be more satisfied

Side note. When you talked about the "Chess Dimension" I was thinking of a much older game. Shining Force 2, where you basically get banished to a "chess dimension" of a sort. It is also where you meet one of the few "friendly" demons named Oddeye. ( I have used that character's name in several things before, both his demon name as well as his cover name.. Though his "cover" name is not really that much different from his demon name lol )

I was playing during this.. I was one of the Engineers dealing with a LOT of crap.. I do not know but something about this round attracted a LOT of griefers.

I stopped playing sec for a while after guys from the SEC on one shift did too much BS 1. Some secoffs stole the sec shuttle and never docked it back. I was the only pilot on the shift btw (and according to the rules of the server I was playing on, only sec pilot and HOS knew how to pilot the shuttle and we had no HOS). 2. Stopped communicating any useful information when needed (just screaming in caps lock some dramatic BS and calling it RP, de facto just monologue on sec frequency). Had to ask for the location of some spaced body three times for them to stop trying to hurry me and give info instead, for example 3. Almost never listening to the radio. Like, really, the only time I could get point across on this shift is by meeting other sec in person and even then it was attention span of a goldfish forcing them to wander off mid talk. 4. Got prevented from doing my job by member of command 5. Secoffs decided to run onto event derelic station on the sec shuttle without saying a thing, leaving the station nearly defenceless. Basically only pilot and detective stayed while the event was more suitable for salvagers TL; DR Stopped playing sec after internal SEC BS surpassed crew BS by a large margin
