    on your tangent about the MH:World storyline not making sense, the entire 'flaw' in the world storyline, is that it is pure setup for the story in Iceborn. If you take the world and iceborn story together, the entire plot comes together into "nergigante wants to kill shara-ishvalda by increasingly desperate means but the silly humans fail to see the bigger picture until shara is litteally sshaking the new world to pieces by sucking the everstreamm dry". and the entire post game of iceborn (except fatalis) is dealing with the long term consequences of the human meddling

    CORRECTION: After doing a little more testing on my end, my GPU utilization was 90-80 percent during play. For some reason running OBS decreased it without effecting my framerate or something else weird happened. No idea.

    I think there are some issues with the game still that impact performance and could maybe be resolved till release ... for example after playing for a bit I got wierd artifacting on chupacabras fists with graphical glitches that were not there when I first played and it made the game run slower whenever it was on screen. So we can hope there is some stuff in the background going on that is tanking performance. Though to be perfectly honest they still seem to have general issues with PC performance so while I hope we get stable 60 on release on most suitable systems I doubt we will get really good fps like 120 + on even very good systems.

    RE: Performance. I'm running on a 3070TI 8gb and could not get it to outperform my ps5's performance even though the 3070ti is objectively more powerful, the extra vram makes a HUGE difference.

      Interesting. What were your settings and resolution? I knew mine couldn't handle the game, so I tried it anyway lol. It ran smoothly, but it was low poly

      @@Dastardly_Duo I had to go down to med-low to get it to run anywhere close to smoothly during the sandtide.

      @@Dastardly_Duo found a similar specced PC and it performed about the same. The PS5 has the better textures loaded due to higher VRAM it looks like. Most notably look at how the ground/textures look. Right now this game seems to be very constrained on 8gb cards.

    2:01 I think, the biggest risk Capcom will take, is when Monster Hunter Wilds only runs native at 1080p at 60FPS with hardware... that is to be released in the future... because even though I am a big Monster Hunter fan since World/Iceborn that even played Rise/Sunbreak on PC... but this Beta was unplayable for me. With a 11th gen i7 and a nvidia 3080. Even with everything on low at 1080p with DLSS/FSR the game runs atrocious. Not to forget, Wilds on low looks far worse then World/Iceborne on max with the HQ Texture Pack.
    So if they want to earn those $70 from me on release, they need to either optimize it allot more, or add the ability to use lower fidelity models for player/monster and the world so it runns at 60FPS native 1080p without all that DLSS/FSR and Frame Gen nonsense. DLSS/FSR are tools to get the game to run on 4k, not a standard to run at 1080p. What is the point to render the game at 720p(or lower) and then stretch that to 4k? Same with Frame Gen, that is a tool to make a 60FPS game run at 120FPS, not a 30FPS game at 60FPS.
    But we will see, it is after all a Beta, if they can't manage to tame that beast of a engine they use, then I will wait on a buy until I naturally upgrade my system in a couple years and buy it on a deep sale.

      That's odd, on my 7600x/4070 rig at 3440x1440 resolution with all settings on high I've been getting a stable 90-110 FPS.

    I sure hope performance is a bug cuz I got 20 ish frames on my now 8 yo rig with a 1080 and I7-7700 but utility wasnt maxed on either for most of the gameplay. Im willing to postpone dropping another 2k on a rig if I can manage 40+ steady so.... I got money riding on that xD.
    Wouldnt be the worst to upgrade either way (I say upgrade, my cpu is best in slot for my mb so I need a new rig) but I'd rather pull as much as I can out of this one before spending big again.

    If you go to ray daus nest in wilds the whole area looks to have been created by some giant laser beam or crash landing of a giant monster, hence the vista that the game intentionally points out to you with npcs going "woah look at that view". above the nest appears to be what seems to represent some form of dragonator weapon that when toppled can be used as grounding stones but a huge metal chunk in the ground would surely ground any electricity trying to pass through the fulgurite in the nest so I dont think that disproves its a dragonator. ultimatly it seems that theyre already giving us some visual story telling of a giant monster fight similar to other titles or imo more evidence of the ancient civilisation, why else would a dragonator be here when it was supposed to be inhabited? same for the thunder rods in the desert, you can find under one of these and it looks as if theyre collecting the electricity, those rods normally are supposed to be protecting you from being struck but theres nothing in the desert to want to protect unless its just for passage. further into this if youre in the sand and youre at one of the peaks any disruption to the sand can unearth "Ancient wyvern coins" which im guessing is the currecy for the ancient civ, guessing theyre just going to finally go all in for narrative and lore into monster hunter which im loving the idea of.

      Given the rey dau nest, the everforge...etc we may finally get some clues as to what the ancient civilization did to create fatalis. Especially since the story seems focused on ancient or previously thought extinct monsters.

      Fatalis wasn't created, that's fanfiction spouted as truth on the fandom wiki, the ancient dragon war and the equal dragon weapon are entirely fiction

      @AcornANut you're right, but nature created fatalis for some reason, just like the other elder dragons. Fatalis seems specifically created to destroy humanity and / or keep us in check just like nergi was created to feed off of elder dragons. We may get some hints as to the reason as to why the ancient civilization fell.

    4U was alright not that remarkable minus the OP charge blade and insect glaive which got nerfed to kingdom come later :I 3U was my personal favorite and the dungpod to the face to the people that complained about underwater combat, I mean seriously imagine that shit now it would be way better since capcom could've added QoL improvements to make traversal easier but no its never coming back. Rise I only like the classic feel for Bowguns and the hunting horn being quite fun but that's about it and World feeling realistic in a sense is what gives it a high rating in my books and after playing the Demo for Wilds I can rate it higher for said aspect but some weapon changes weren't really good imo but time will tell let's see what they add/change on full release!

      Im already working on a video on the weapons, most changes are good, but some absolutely stink
