It's so fascinating to hear Tylor's insight on the idea of revisiting a revered work of art, and applying that sort of thought process to the development cycle of the Remake trilogy. I think he perfectly articulated not only the sense of ambition that comes with such a task, with striving to do it even better, but also the reality that we as people are, by nature, always changing and evolving with time. Very wise and so very true. Thank you for this! This interview was thoroughly enjoyable to listen to.

Great vid as always Prof. Koga/Koka and Iga were known as very early provinces on the outskirts of Kyoto, Japan to historically utilise Ninja, both the Koga and Iga were referenced in Final Fantasy 12 as Ninja blades, nearby Yagyu was renown for highly skilled swordsmanship and FF12s ultimate Ninja blade was called the Yagyu darkblade.

Another great discussion! Thanks!!! What David said about not needing stories to be overly dark since reality is hard enough is something I often feel, too. I’m all for a good story, but not everything needs to be dark to be high quality. It seems to be a trend in media to make things that don’t need to be overly serious, more dark, gritty, and sad (ex. Lots of movie series that we grew up with that were known for fun have gone overly dark, like the last James Bond or my personal least favorite Star Wars movie, episode 8). That said, I do enjoy darker stories in games and Midgar is my favorite part of 7 😂 I’d honestly like to see a happy ending for these characters though. Sorry if this post is incoherent 😅

I remember once when I was in middle school they served us some sort of rice and banana casserole. To this day, it's the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. It was so bad in fact, that it's still being talked about at the school, nigh on 10 yrs later. It's almost become a bit of an urban legend tbh 😂

Very beautiful soul Tylor, he seems humble!! I'm familiar with his art, I would always see his paintings here and there but never knew who he was. I'm glad we get to know him and I'm also glad to see that he believes in God, I'm a christian myself. This interview was very enjoyable!! :)

I decided to delete my last comment lol. Way too lengthy and speculative, even for TH-cam. Also, I didn't want it to be misunderstood or sound too opinionated lol. But now in this Rebirth era, whenever we are in Cetra/Lifestream territory, I wonder about the VII/X connection. After seeing how neatly the compilation is written into VIIR series, I always wonder what ideas the story writers have had for connecting the two worlds, if the idea of the connection goes back nearly twenty years. I'm always wondering about a big picture, Professor. lol

I'd say Majora's Mask is definitely up there with its side quests

I noticed that the Temple of the Ancients looks exactly like the Shinra logo from overhead. Comes to show how dedicated Shinra has been in finding this place and truly believes that this is the Promised Land.
