    I used to walk into my teaching job in Southgate CA below power lines and could feel the effect in my head (Same feeling when I plug in Google NEST and RING Wifi cams in my apt). I mentioned this to other teachers at the lunch table and they looked at me like I was crazy.

    What makes this Meter a good one to buy? I see they are ~$180. Are there any that are cheaper that are actually decent?

    I'm a little crossed off on the readings of the cell phone loading webpages vs being directly under the power lines. Are they the same? Different measurements? Because, i think we can all agree that everyone currently is having 'prolonged exposure' to our cell phones.

    Power lines do not emit electrons (beta radiation). You would need a Geiger counter to detect this.

    Hi Anthony, if the powerline measurement is 3mG, and the powerline is 110kV, is this a safe house to buy? If the measurement is over 3mG, so this house not worth to buy?

      @LivinginAtlanta thanks! Also though, I work in an industry that uses enormous amounts of electricity and am surrounded by it daily. If it is harmful the transmission lines are probably the least of my concerns sadly. I have also, since working here over the last 4 years noticed an increase in illness in myself but it might just be a product of age and regular unhealthy choices. Hard to say for sure.

    I grew up nearly under a Transmission Line..I was exposed to that for over 25 years and for the last 20+ years, I've been having some pretty serious "unique" health issues.. I've been diagnosed with 4 rare conditions with overlapping symptoms and I truly believe that it was all because of my exposure..Plus, I was a welder for many years, and i think that contributed to my issues also...Thank you for the video and the information..

    I have a meter that measures magnetic fields in μT (microteslas) and also detects electric fields. For reference, the conversion is: 1 gauss (G) = 0.0001 teslas (T) in the SI system, so 1 milligauss (mG) = 0.1 μT. In my bedroom, the meter only picks up the magnetic field (H-field) ranging from 1 to 2.5 mT over a distance of about 30 feet, and it points north to south-right in line with where I found out the power lines are located. Interestingly, the meter readings are stronger during the daytime than at night, which I assume is because people in the city are using more electricity during the day. Considering that 1 mT = 10,000 mG, and people get worried over just 2.2 mG, should I be concerned? 🥲 Am I in trouble here? Also, I’ve ruled out my Wi-Fi 6 router since it’s not emitting high-frequency EMFs, but these power lines are giving me readings that make me feel like I’m living in Chernobyl! Should I be worried?🤭🤭 I'm going to start looking for a place.😅

    NO, UULF is not good for your body and brain function.. What is just as bad are heating pads and waterbed heaters because you are in super close contact with them.. There are a few places you can find an EMF exposure calculator with safe limit charts put out by the government.. If you calculate 60 cycles and the several hundred kilowatts to the distance you are from the actual conductors against your body height at ground level it is pretty bad.. You are basically a walking parasitic antenna for all that energy flowing.. Good news is that you can run long stretches of wire that has insulators at the ends like an antenna and harness free electricity if you do it correctly..

    I’ve recently looked at a house with transmission lines about 20 meters behind the backyard. I’ve taken your advice and used a Wintact EMF reader. On the balcony closest to the power lines the electric field reading is 190v/m but the magnetic field reading is 0.00uT. What does this mean ? No magnetic field. Perhaps safer?

    Wait a minute. I live in a non-HOA neighborhood in Atlanta by choice and you just can't do anything. They still must abide by the city law. I have neighbors who were forced to go to court for junky yards. Sure my neighborhood don't look as nice as HOA ones but it has improved and will keep improving as the city cost of living increases in my opinion

    • @LivinginAtlanta
      @LivinginAtlanta 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So, you bring up a really good point that I failed to mention in the video. In Georgia, there's is something called a "Nuisance Law" that prevents neighbors from becoming a major nuisance by playing loud music, allowing dogs to bark all night, TRASHY YARDS, etc.. It's not the easiest law to implement bc much of the "nuisance" is subjective, but it's a great law to have in place. Sounds like you live in one of those areas. What suburb are you in if you don't mind me asking?

      lol....it's a witty line, except that I'm an Engineer with a Master's Degree and also what I did for 20 yrs prior to Real Estate, so there's that. Nice try, though :)

    Do you personally feel comfortable with your home being around 2 mg? I am looking at a townhome and bought this reader, kitchen read 2 mg and rest of the house and exterior at 1.8 mg.

      It's borderline, but I'd still feel ok at 2mg

      I appreciate your response back! Do you do anything in your home to help with the emf readings? Are you still in the same home with around 2 mg reading shown in this video? Any issues for you or your family?

      Ugh, yuck. I'm so sorry to hear that. These are the stories people don't ever hear about, especially those telling me it's safe at any level. Wrong

      I'll gladly lose business to do the right thing and inform my clients of this danger. If it turns them away, then fine. I still know I did the right thing. Karma is a bitch
