    If you're moving to Atlanta and unfamiliar with the city, this video is for you! In this video, I compare living on the NORTH side vs living on the SOUTH side and the pros and cons of each.

      @@LivinginAtlanta I live in the suburbs of Northeast Atlanta of Gwinnett. The reason I'm saying this is because there are stark differences between north and south Atlanta. You have the elite upper class in midtown who are educated and racially diverse. And then you have places like College Park and Clayton County to the south where it's majority black and lower class. It's unfortunate but no one's willing to talk about it

    • @RozyRoPink150

      Do you enjoy racism? You do realize Forsyth county is the most racist County in Georgia hands down. Oprah even visited and made a story on Forsyth County. I'm from Gwinnett (neighboring county) and I'm almost 50. I have also lived 360 Degrees around I-285. If you're really trying to enjoy your retirement may I suggest cities like Buford, Suwanee, or Duluth in Gwinnett. You don't have to be super-rich to live among these people even though there are plenty of celebrities around you. You will also be able to find something in your price range I'm more than sure. Gwinnett and Fulton County Neighborhoods tend to Gate such Communities. But keep in mind you don't want to be too far from Atlanta. Because the traffic here is definitely insane 😂. North Fulton is Beautiful. Alpharetta, Roswell are very close to Forsyth just incase you just have to be close to "those people". But what ever the case.... Good Luck and Stay Safe 😊

    Hi. We currently live in north Atlanta, but are considering a move to south Atlanta to buy a new construction home. The ONLY reason that we are considering the move is because of the large square footage we can get for our money in south Atlanta.
    We are looking at homes in the high 500s to low 600s and can get approx 3700-3900 square feet in the Stockbridge/McDonough area. We could not come close to that square footage for the price in north Atlanta.
    However. our hesitation stems around a concern that we will miss the "feel" of the north side. If we pursue moving to south Atlanta for the larger home, is this a sound decision? Also, we like the results/shopping & dining experience of a balanced racial mix. Will the move to an area that is 70-75% black be that different?
    Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

    There is nowhere OTP I would want to live. There is a reason rents/mortgages are so expensive in the city: demand.

    • @LivinginAtlanta
      @LivinginAtlanta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I value my life too much to live ITP. The crime has gotten ridiculous in there. The rents and mortgages are high all over Atlanta metro bc of the overall demand moving here, not just ITP. The actual real data show a mass exodus of ITP for OTP. People are finally coming to their senses that it's not worth it to live ITP with the skyrocketing prices, crime and shitty schools.

      @@LivinginAtlanta - That must be why it's so hard to find anyone to rent a place in Midtown -snark-. Seriously. The walkability and amenities FAR outweigh the temporary slight uptick in crime that is still WAY down from even the 90s. I value my life FAR too much to waste it sitting in Marietta traffic when I can walk and bike to everything I need here in civilization.

      The criminals are driving to Walton County and up 75, one big time developer was killed in his Mercedes in a CVS parking lot , when robbed at gunpoint while his wife was inside the store . The guy drove all the way to a nice area to kill someone , a guy from Dekalb yesterday killed a 79 year old woman in a gated community of Buckhead , he stabbed her a number of times and drive her car around , only to ditch it in Dekalb. So the criminals have gotten braver and venturing North West , South and East.
