SUMMER CRAPPIE Kayak Fishing (I Found a MASSIVE SCHOOL!)
I take the kayak out on a hot summer day & stumble on the MOTHER LOAD of these tasty panfish. Live minnows under a slip float and the cooler is filled in short order.

Fishing Live Bait to Catch Dinner from the Kayak | What Happened to this Fish?!
มุมมอง 228หลายเดือนก่อน
I take the kayak out to fish a couple pieces of structure, where I throw out bait (both cut and live). Let's see what will bite! I also catch a fish that appears to be otherwise healthy, but has clearly sustained a serious injury in its past. What do think happened to it?
The Bite was COMPLETELY INSANE! | NON-STOP Action Kayak Fishing for Hybrid Striped Bass
มุมมอง 3562 หลายเดือนก่อน
Despite a pretty average start this day got HOT & HEAVY! Originally the plan was to drop live baits on some strategic spots, and troll my way from one to the next in the hopes of picking up a fish or 3 either way. At the first spot I bumped into a MASSIVE concentration of very active fish and the bite was downright stupid. I caught about a thousand of them by casting a classic Rapala crankbait.
Random Highway Bridge Held a Couple Good Fish! (1 New Species)
มุมมอง 6822 หลายเดือนก่อน
I make a point to go out fishing twice a week lately, obligations and weather permitting of course, but that's the goal. Once in the kayak with most of the day set aside for it - and once on foot closer to home for an hour or two. These smaller trips are more limited and come with lower expectations - but they are often pretty interesting little adventures all the same.
Slip Float CRAPPIE on LIVE Minnows! (Fishing for Dinner)

PIER & SURF Fishing | Jekyll Island

They were CRUSHING this Crankbait! | Hybrid Striped Bass Kayak Fishing
มุมมอง 3173 หลายเดือนก่อน
Spring is springing and the fish are hungry and fired up! I get out in the kayak out and toss around mainly crankbaits, but also spinners and a jigging spoon, and get into some solid action. I'm primarily fishing for "Wipers" or Hybrid Striped Bass, but a couple of other species decide to make cameo appearances as well.

Live Baiting & Trolling for Winter Striped Bass & Catfish

It's Winter. But let’s get out there anyway and see what bites. I'll be suspending live baits vertically from the kayak, and trolling diving plugs. Any fish that want to play are welcome, but Stripers and Catfish are the target(s).

This is in the Finger Lakes, which is somewhat near the Great Lakes, but I don't think my launch location would be terribly helpful for you. The technique may still work though. I hope you have a good trip and catch a ton! *EDIT - And congrats on the kayak!!

Never fails! As soon as you hook something decent, people crowd around you! People have no etiquette anymore! I was on a charter boat once; I caught a small flounder, and while I was unhooking fish, some jerk runs over and takes my spot (I foolishly moved off the rail). He caught the largest flounder from 'my' spot and won the largest fish pool! First time I almost came to throwing someone overboard!

I've seen people fishing here quite a bit. One side is says private, but I'm not sure that's real. Sometimes I think locals post shit on their own to try and keep things quieter for themselves to enjoy. I'm not really sure.

Canyon. You can find it if you google "canyon fish bags". This one is the kayak/bait bag. It's pretty small, I wouldn't recommend it for much more than bait, panfish, small trout, etc. They make lots of sizes though. It's definitely a quality product and I like it a lot BUT it did take a long time to get it after ordering though just FYI. I'd probably message or email the guy before ordering to make sure he has whatever you want in stock.

Pretty sure that's their bladder, not their stomach (lol) hey but I'm not a Veterinarian. I would suggest switching over to artificials for these species. Nothing to mess with bait-wise. Drop shot the artificials (2" rubber minnow baits), cast them in less than 20 feet on jigheads. You will clean up and catch all the same species. Thanks for the ride-along. Nice video, nice scenery.

Nice, that's good to know. This video is a couple years old and I don't remember exactly what happened, but I do probably lean on using worms more than necessary. But it does make panfishing nice and easy usually! One year the woods behind my house were so full of these large worms, I could go out there with a hand trowel and get 30 of them in 5 minutes. At that time it made buying plastic stuff seem silly to me when I loads of free natural bait available to me right at home. I really got in the habit of using them even after I moved outta that place and had to start buying them. I'll often take lures with me, and say that I won't go the worms unless I can't catch them on lures first. But then I get impatient and go right to the worms, haha. But thanks for watching man!
