I fish a similar though much smaller lake with a similar profile, large deep sections where lake trout live but plenty of panfish on the shallow shore areas and also in NY. Though I fish from shore instead of a kayak it's interesting to compare the tactics I see in your videos compared to my own! Those rock bass are my nemesis however, not a fan of them as they don't seem to give me much fight and seem to be more likely to have parasites than bass or yellow perch which I would rather catch
Nice. Yeah those rock bass are definitely lower on my list as well. But not nemesis level - this lake doesn’t seem to have issues with them getting parasites, and they will get really big here too. So between their health and size they fight pretty well actually. I’ll eat them too, but again their way behind perch on the list for keeping.
