Thank you so much for your perfect explanation.. Even my lecturer couldn't explain it like you 😍😍👏👏👏
My pleasure. Hope it would be useful.
What if there is 2 prepositions In the sentence ?
If there are two prepositions, there will be two prepositional phrases. And the use of two prepositional phrases can also cause ambiguity.
Good
Thanks
I have appreciated the lecture
Thank you
Very clear...👏
Thanks
Very well explained. Thanks.............

In the complementizing phrase, we describe complementizer or complementizing conjunction. But in the relative clause, we describe the relative pronoun as N or NP.
Yes, that's right
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 yes, thank you
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 I am trying to analyse other language by PSG or TGG. So, there are many difficulties in analysing.
If it can be shown the relative pronoun as Rpron, it is convenient to analyse the sentences.
I feel that in the sentence " I read the book that John gave" the word "that" is really relative pronoun and it joins the two Clauses. The clause behind the "that" modify the word "book".
Please, can you analyse the sentence "what he says is true" by tree diagram.
Sure. I'll prepare the video for it.
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 ok
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 in that sentence, "what" is relative pronoun or complementizer.
It's a complementizer.@@user-cf3pe3zz2b
Please can you analyse the sentence "I read a book that John gave.".
Is relative clause similar with adjective clause?
Yes, they are synonymous terms. Adjective clause is used because it functions as an adjective, while relative clause is used because it uses a relative pronoun as its conjunction.
Love it..........
Thanks.
Thank for sharing.

hello sir, i passed the most difficult exam from grammar in discourse. me and Whip (my friend) we wanna really thank you for helping me, you're the best teacher ever, SIR. bye bye
My pleasure. Congrats...
I'm pleased to hear that.

My pleasure. Please enjoy it.
Thank you for sharing. This is very useful information. Love it.......
My pleasure.
How can I analyse the sentence " I read a book sent by my mother." by using phrase structure grammar.
The analysis involves three kinds of transformational rules. The first one is an inflectional transformation indicating passive voice "be + -en". The second one is a relative transformational rule using relative pronoun "which". The third one is a relative transformational rule to delete "which + was". I'll prepare the video for that sentence.
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 if I plus (which + was) between "a book" and "sent", I will get " I read a book which was sent by my mother". In this sentence, (I) NP and (read a book which was sent by my mother). Then I will analyse the VP. In the VP, it consists of V CP. CP also consists of C S. So, how should do the ( a book).
I read a book which was sent by my mother (S NP + VP) I (NP) + (VP) read a book which was sent by my mother a book which was sent by my mother (NP S) which was sent by my mother (S RP NP + VP + PP) which (NP ProR) + was sent (VP) + by my mother (PP) @@user-cf3pe3zz2b
@@rusdinoorrosa9155 It is my experience that I didn't find such principles in PSG or TGG which can be used to analyse NP +S. In this sentence, (which was sent by my mother) it can be assumed as complementizer phrase of noun phrase (a book).
To be honest, I had already known that if complementizer functions as verb complementizer, it can be analysed. I then noticed that VP consists of VP + CP. CP consists of C and S (NP+VP).
I now know my weakness in writing. Thanks for the video.
My pleasure
