You might be surprised of the resins i picked to be at the top and bottom of the 2023 resin tierlist.

Here in the US I can get 5 Kilo jugs of Siraya Tech Fast Navy Grey for 120--130 USD, the pigments in Navy grey make it almost like another resin compared to the normal Siraya Tech grey, in fact it has it's own technical sheet from Siraya Tech, EXTREMELY opaque with a wonderful texture, I feel like Siraya Tech's reputation is built off the back of Mixing 10-20% tenacious in with Navy grey. I would say that if you can ever get your hands on it, try Navy Grey as it is it's own beast. My personal resin mix is 50/50 Siraya Tech Navy Grey and Sunlu ABS Grey. Random side note, I think an interesting test that you could add to your suite is bridging distance for resin. Why? One resin might be more durable and flexible but require much more supports along the length of a long object at a 45 degree angle (Think like a staff for a large scale model kit) Making supporting it more time consuming and causing more damage. Some resins can bridge farther distances without droop or pull, these resins are usually a little less durable BUT they make supporting a breeze, to me, someone that supports many items a month manually, I look for a resin that is in the middle, which is why I like my mix. It can take a fall, but the Navy Grey Bridges really well. Unfortunately Engineering resins seem to droop more and so they have less application for me in Miniature and 1/4th scale model printing. I am always trying to find that fine line between these two properties to reduce the amount of support needed without the item drooping or being too brittle. It's a balancing act, keep up the great content!

After seeing your other video i tried Sunlu ABS and it was an absolute game changer. Switched to it on all my resin printers and now buy it 10kilos at a time when the deals are good. Thank you.
Couldn't agree more! It's the only resin that I can make practical prints with that won't shatter after one drop.
Where do you buy the Sunlu? On Amazon it’s 53 for 2000 grams
You have to wait for a sale period but the last few months overall supply seems to be terrible so i guess they don't feel the need right now.

Hey Noizie Works I love your videos, they seem to be the most transparent and unbiased when comparing resins. Any thoughts on reviewing some Resione resin. I would be curious to see where their TH72 lands on your tierlist. Anycubic has some tough resins I would also be interested in seeing. Thanks again for the great videos, keep it up!

Thanks for recommending the Jamg He Art-Engineering resin, I had never heard about it but it seems perfect for tabletop miniature game pieces.
If it wasn't for your older video, I would have quit resin printing. Sunlu ABS was such an improvement for me over Elegoo's water washable resin, I cannot recommend it enough.
Love these videos, for a toy company that's constantly printing functioning action figure prototypes these really help when looking at what resin to purchase. Keep up the great work.

I went from Anycubic standard to Sunlu Standard, to Sunlu ABS Like. Its fantastic for gaming minis, but it warps like mad during drying. If you clean, dry, and cure right away it's not an issue. I haven't seen a decent review of Siraya Build, so I ordered a bottle to do my own testing.
Curing after drying is always adviced but even then i never found abs like to warp.
What kind of exposure are you using?

Thank you for these tier list and testing these Resins! Because of the amount of copycats and how flooded the market is with resins, it's really hard to decide on a good resin!
I want to make figurines, so I need a resin that is not brittle and non warping!

Between Jamg he art engineering and Sunlu ABS like, which of the 2 are the more stiffer one?
Reason is I'm interested to eventually post process it and paint it and I don't want the pieces to be too floppy and soft to handle.
Edit: I found the chart where you had them both in the chart. It seems both are fine enough, but the Sunlu ABS is slightly stiffer. Pretty interesting resins.
@@HayashiKaiji the sunlu abs if you can get it because in EU it's sold out most of the time is going to be unbeatable for the price (so far)

@HayashiKaiji I'm from Belgium and speak dutch, i have looked at the site and they have 2 colors including plain black for 20€ a piece of you buy 3 bottles so i would say go get it now!
I have been underwhelmed by Siraya Tech, they seem to have created a good reputation but they aren't amazing. Some of them are ok but not exactly cheap (not that anything is cheap by the time you get it into Norway)
What I have been really happy with are the technical Phrozen resins, not cheap but quite good and easy to print. I like the Green Nylon, ABS like and the high temp ones when that is required (I only do practical printing). I have found they really benefit from long UV cure times (30 minutes) and heat curing in my filament dryer (a few hours or more at 65 to 80 depending). The heat curing is something high end resins generally require but they also help the less expensive resins get better polymer cross linking. I should try heat on the Siraya tech as well and see if that helps their properties.

Yeah resin is super expensive in Norway, I bought 10kg elegoo abs like for 2500 kr and the only equivalent in Norway is the eSun tough and 10kg of that would cost closer to 7000 kr
Siraya tech build in Smokey black has been hands down the best resin I’ve used. Too bad it didn’t make the list. It is slightly more expensive at $35/$40 for 1000g
I'm probably working with them a bit more in the future so i will get to the build resin 😉
There's a new Sunlu resin I'm printing with for the first time today - ABS like but water washable. It may be worthwhile having a look at .

Maybe this has the great S-tier qualities from the Sunlu ABS like….PLUS the water washable ease of cleaning and curing.

45/45% sunlu abs and toughness 10% nylon is my go to. I've launched repulsors across the room and they stayed together

Australia in May 2024 and not a single resin in S or A tier is available in Australia. FeelsGood. SirayaTech comes through though...
Isn't almost everything problematic for you guys? Hyper inflated import and all that?
The audio effect is very distracting as it's the same many messengers use.
I Kinda disagree about Sunlu Standard resin.
I get 1liters for 14 dollars and The performance is really good for miniatures and bigger figurines! And its not that brittle at all.
Wait untill you try actually good resin,pricing is always based on msrp. Like i say, if you can get a good deal on it most are fine

I ordered some Resione K+. Haven't tested it a lot mechanically, but visually this is the closest I have ever seen a resin come to real ABS plastic. It's a lot harder than Sunlu ABS-Like, but is still flexible. It takes more force to bend it. But, it has less memory than Sunlu. It returns to it's shape better.

@krisd9506 yes, the last video (nova3d) already included impact testing and is going to be standard in the testing suite going forward. All the others will be compacted into a single video later this year.
Why not include reprapper in your resin results. I have good things about it.

Most people that actually use it love it for the extreme detail it gives on models and miniatures.
If you are not into that then i would say you are not missing out
No Siraya Tech resins getting good reviews? lol Expensive? Where do you get your resins, the Dollar Store?? ST is about average priced, and mixed with Tenacious the Fast are top notch. Not even watching the whole video.
Ok... the numbers tell a different story but if you like it then great, have fun with it.
