    im really pleased with it! its way faster than my "old" printers, i havent noticed any z wobble even with a full packed plate - but i use a chamber heater, so its not exactly an apples to apples comparison. There will allways be a next best thing and every mashine will sooner or later seem outdated (with todays tech progression). Im actually glad it doesnt include extras like a resin pump because the last time i paid for it it didnt work!

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the only point i try to make is to show some innovation, like the pump doesn't need to be included but it would be great if it's something to add on if you need it.
      Having to fill it during printing is not ideal.
      Now the 4 ultra came out and it finally looks like they are trying to do more then just make it look cool with higher pixel count. With the s3u the goal is faster printing by incl. acf sheet but in my testing you kinda solve 1 problem and create another. Like with anything slow and steady wins the race so if you dial it in a bit slower the s3u is just another great non groundbreaking alternative.

    Video idea - see if the Sunlu clear ABS-like is stronger than the grey or black. I ask because nearly all professional engineering resins are clear for two reasons. One is that pigments weaken them. Two is that they cannot cure as deeply.

    I think you might get flooded with people with who don’t understand or have the patience for machines. Every time there’s a negative in the title or thumbnail, 50 people show up saying “yeah! It’s a POS. It’s my first printer.”

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      sucks right 😆adding vent holes is really the key if you hollow it. Depending on the location you can hide them so you don't see them or you fill the holes and with resin sanding very easy it's a no brainer to do.

    I hate the build plate on the Saturn 3. Whatever they did by laser etching the plate, it either causes it to be harder to get things to print on it or, when you do, it gets hard to remove anything from it. The Saturn 2 gives me far less problems with build plate issues.

    Hi, I dont mean to sound like i am attacking your or anything I am just disagreeing with your bad points. The issues u brought up are all cause you wanted to use this printer for sizes its not ment to be for or maybe the jupiter or bigger ones would have been the better option. Also cutting up your prints into smaller piece is the way to go.

    Good review, and if anything, you were overly gentle - Elegoo has been plaguing their paying customers with half-assed nonsense like z-flex since they started, you'd think by now they could get at least that right...
    The shame is not that the S3U is a bad printer, the shame is it could have easily been so much better with normal mechanical engineering and simple use improvements (like bigger resin tray with a more convenient fastening method, for example).

    I've had this a month now as my first printer and I've barely had a decent print out of it.
    I had to fit a heater, due to prints falling off, but my main problem now is distortion.
    Everything warps.
    It seems as soon as I fix one problem, something else screws it up and I feel like trashing the whole damn thing and taking up needlework. 😭
    One further thing. There are some little plastic covers on the build plate. One fell off, got under the plate and put a hole in my ACF.

If I have to list all the cons of the gktwo:
      -Week door hinges (you can either open or close it it can't stay in a in between position
      -no better print quality than others modern printers it's similar to my Saturn 2 imo by eyes at least
      -the heating solution is not directly heating the vat itself so it's not efficient and could be better for sure
      -the brand ! We don't know them, we can't trust them that easy!
      -I can't manage to print via wifi or network while there's a Network connection to it maybe it's just me idk
      -the vat doesn't have a lip to poor out resin come on guys... (I made a 3d solutions like we did for the Saturn)
      -the vat is not clear about the max lvl of resin and is small, made out of plastic the clips mechanism has broken for some ppl (tho you can print the replacement feets that does this it's still to consider if it's your only printer
      -not enough trust on the brand again and again I wish we had an leader company listening to enthusiastic, sharing etc etc this business can work so hopefully they'll go for it if you don't make the best resin don't bs us trying to sell us this crap.... I still use my elegoo resin after this year's am I loyal or simply lazy idk ? But we should have some feedback from company those products are complex, and dangerous be transparent...
      -oh and this is to be picky but the build volume isn't an upgrade if you had a Saturn 2 before it's basically the same kinda
