    Decided to put my money where my mouth is so honest in depth review in a few months!

    One wouldn't get caught up on the bigger vat. It would have to be bigger to accommodate the tilting. I'm thinking we might lose a little capacity, because tilting it should need a massive height change to maintain the current capacity.

      That's what I was thinking too. But we can hope lol

    More moving parts = More points of failure. And with the tilt mechanism I would be afraid of spilling resin into the machine.

      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yup and the fact we don't see it on a wide scale makes me think it's more a cure for a problem that doesn't really exist.
      ACF does a great job and with good settings i can even make my jupiter go over 150mm.
      I would trade it any day for build in heated vat and a force meter to monitor release and speed up the prints that way.

    You can see how to use the resin tray in this video of Prusa. Elegoo make a copy and paste of the Prusa S1.

    They also change the light source to the used on the Saturn 3 and Saturn 2. so maybe they need the space for the tilt system or the Saturn 3 Ultra was a worse light source.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't think the light system is bad in the s3u it's probably space savings as they already lost 4cm of build height.

    They could have hit a home run if they just added vat heater pressure sensor and resin residue detection. Maybe front doors that open to the side. It was so simple to make a winner

      I would be all over that! And then implement that into the jupiter 2 buildsize 🫠

      It says it has resin residue sensors.

      Yeah I was literally just about to buy a 3 ultra but I think it's maybe worth waiting a few days for the 4 launch??

    I really like the swivel hood, but honestly don’t seem worth it over a Saturn 3

    With this printing volume it shouldn't be called ultra.

    Sorry I would pass on this printer. I seen more reviews on this printer how if I’m buying a new printer my choices would be the GK Two and this printer, I’ve got a gk two would I buy other no only because I live in a very hot climate around 32c or 90f degrees, winters are 50f to 80f or 10c to 26c. But I’ve got my printers a spare bed room it’s start at 70f or 21c by the time the heat from the printer are add in because turn the vent off during summer it’s hot in there. So I may buy one to replace an older Anycubic mono 4k.

  • @AFV85
    @AFV85 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's not for me! To much going on I was an unwilling beta tester for Anycubic m5s before not happening again! I don't think they should have used the saturn name for this printer either It could well destroy the brand! I love my elegoo printers but I'm afraid I'm out for this one! My saturn 2 8ks and my saturn 3 ultra are perfect and my friend has just got one he absolutely loves it! As for the carbon filters I don't know why people think there gimicks mine work superb for keeping the resin smell at bay it's only when I take the tops off thw Saturn's I smell the resin I couldn't have a printer without them! The battery ones are rubbish but the USB ones are good! Just makes me wonder if people take the carbon block out the packet first lol?

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน

      100% agree but if smell is a problem there are great resins these days that almost don't smell at all.
      If you keep the lid closed then it doesn't really matter if you "filter" it, the bad smelling ones are still gonna stink a lot when you remove it.
      I had a viewer that shared a project with me with a closed loop carbon filter system/heater with buckets full of carbon and even then it's still present although A LOT better.
      If i'm not mistaken Elegoo i actually working on a system like that so that could be really exiting as you can hook up multiple printers.
      This was on formnext 2023.
