thank u 😎 side by side with the action 5 pro? it’s so weird because before the recent action 5 pro firmware update everything was almost a bit too saturated but now like u said the image is so dull and flat which is even more noticeable when it’s side by side with the ace pro 2 as i said in the video, in my opinion - the ace pro 2 is definitely more of a worthy upgrade from the ace pro than the action 5 pro is from the action 4

Yes, you can definitely see that there is a focus issue at 6:40 where James accidentally leaves it on Clarity Zoom and then points the camera at himself. The background is very sharp and his face is not. And I suspect he was using a camera grip of some kind to increase the distance between himself and the camera.

@@FixItOnTheWay This is what i've been saying on people's videos and all i've gotten from people who've done the videos is belittled and badmouthed telling me to gro up or that i'm wrong. Even TH-cam reviewers that aren't paid by the companies have mentioned the focus problem. The DJI Action 5 Pro focuses at arms length but the Ace Pro 2 can't, it's nearly in focus but not perfect focus and it has to be perfect focus or what's the point.

@@djteknovibe93 I have a GoPro 13 which has a very short minimum focus distance and even then if I don't hold my arm out far enough, I can see that my face isn't really in focus. Especially in low light. The key is the background. If your background was always a plain blank wall, then your face would always appear sharp. But in a dynamic environment with lots of texture...focus errors will be very apparent.

yeah I agree! in my initial tests before shooting this video I was trying to tell myself there isn’t an issue but whilst editing this video it’s clear that my face is a little blurry in most shots compared to everything else around me. we had the same issue with the ace pro last year and it definitely has improved this year but still not 100% hopefully they are working on things as we speak 🤞🏽

Thanks but what about jitters in low light? It seems the ace pro 2 is not as good as the ace pro in handling low light jitters?

It's not a fogging issue it's a minimum focus distance problem, the Ace 2 Pro specs state it can focus to within 37cm but it can't, every video of the Ace Pro 2 has shown the real minimum focus distance of the Ace POro 2 is about 90cm to 1 metre, it can get nearlky focus but not quite, everything within about 90cm is blurry a bit whereas the DJI Action 5 Pro can focus close. I sent an email to Insta360 nabout this problem and many TH-camrs mentioned this minimum focus diustance in their videos calling it a close focus problem but Insta 360 haven't responded to my email but the day after I sent them that email they removed the camera froim sale on their website. I also told them I wanted an Ace Pro 2 but when I saw this minimum focus distance problem I decided not to buy one and I believe if I remember right I might have mentioned that I have been doing photography since 2004 so I know what minimum focus distances are and how at that distance the subject be it yourself or whatever else should be in sharp focus. The TH-camrs that didn't mention this problem were paid by IUnst360 to speak highly of it and I believe they were told NOT to mention any problems the camera has, it's the TH-camrs that have not been paid by Insta360 that have been honest and mentioned the camera cannot focus close to anything or anyone. Hopefully Insta360 have removed the camera from sale to deal with the minimum focus distance problem, if they fix that then the camera is well worth buying, if they still don't fix it then the camera is not good enough for vlogging as no-one has 1 metre long arms to get the camera far enough away from them to be oin focus. The DJI Action 5 Pro though does focus close so currently it's a way better option for vlogging if you want yourself to be in perfect focus.

@@james.loxton are you able to buy one of these cameras in the United States through Amazon or Best buy? Because in Canada we can't get it through Best buy or Amazon. We can only get it through or insta360s website? And I found out that their return policy is horrible rather buy it through a reputable big box store. Are you having that issue as well?

oh that’s one I haven’t personally come across when adjusting the iso. do u mean the jitters in the lights? if so then maybe try adjusting the shutter speed
