Wonderful video ! I will have to test these settings when im outside. I just got this camera and I’m really struggling with the settings 😭 the footage has been coming out absolutely terrible. I’ve not had a chance to test it outdoors yet but indoors the colours just look terrible and I just can’t seem to figure out how to make the footage look “normal” 😔
Very enjoyable. You passed St Johns Smith Square where I used to record classical concerts, and Big Ben where I once crashed my motorbike as I turned into Parliament Square on a wet day. Never saw so many police come running in my life! But not injured. Anyway, might be worth adding that FPV mode turns off horizon levelling, so when that is used the cameraperson needs to make sure the scenery doesn't start tipping sideways. Personally I always use auto in pro mode for quick access to other settings such as audio, and also you can set EV to a value there and it stays set.
love reading ur stories about london in the comments on my videos, keep them coming 😎 and thanks for the great points u make especially about the horizon levelling when in FPV mode 👍🏾
thanks 😎 here’s the tripod I use… amzn.to/4dWRyvd and with the export, all I meant was make sure everything is being exported with the correct settings like the bitrate, resolution ect because if not then it could make the end result not look the best
Thanks for responding back to me it is editing on a whole I think I need something to make the process easier like you said in your video don’t worry about the numbers believe me what you said takes a lot of pressure off
yeah don’t stress about the numbers, honestly just wack it in auto mode and go out and shoot! with the editing, I would say that CapCut is probably the easiest video editing software out there for beginners over some of the others like premiere pro so maybe just spend some time with some test shots playing around with the basic stuff, don’t worry about all the fancy effects ect, just focus on the basic editing. the more u play around with it the more comfortable you’ll get with it
@@james.loxton Thanks I will do that and please continue to put out more content on the pocket 3 love all the videos you have done so far on this camera
James love the video. I am going to take this bit of advice and put it into my video making. I watched the tutorial you had on CapCut and I can honestly say I’m having problems of that. Is there a more simpler way of doing the editing help?
Was that guy not Rissi Sunak, and dont forget Big Ben is the Bell not the tower. Have you had any problems with the Mic 2 i needed to send two back which were defective?
😂😂😂 wouldn’t surprise me if it was! I haven’t had any issues with the mic 2 but I’m just not a massive fan of the way it sounds tbh. ur not the first person to comment saying they had to send it back due to something being wrong with it so not looking good!
Great informative video as per usual James! 👏 Are you able to tell me why I get jittery footage when I turn the camera? Is it because I turn it too quick or perhaps because I'm filming at only 25fps? Or is it because I'm walking and turning the camera at the same time? I've probably confused you now as to how I have asked.😂
thanks mate 😎 hope ur trip was a good one or are u still away 👀 haha, dw I think I get what ur saying… soo, when u say turn the camera do u mean by triple pressing the joystick so the camera turns round or literally when u turn and move with it?
Unfortunately I'm back now, but already planned to go back in October to film more! 😅 I mean when I actually turn and move. Not triple pressing the joystick.
that’s the spirit 🥳 so sounds like it’s literally due to u panning too fast, I know exactly what u mean. basically, try panning from left to right slower. If u do have to move faster then maybe test out shooting in a higher frame rate which also might help
hey, tbh I mainly only use ND filters when shooting in pro mode when I adjust the shutter speed ect. there has been some occasions where I’ve put an ND filter on in auto mode when the sky is very white just to balance the exposure a bit better 😎
How how how to you keep the background/picture stable when you definitely move a lot when you walk. I’m having a lot of “bob” issues even when I try to get careful and use the flashlight method you mentioned in another video😕. I thought you might be using tilt lock but you say you use the follow setting. Help!
hmmm, I would love to be able to tell u I do this or I do that but I honestly don’t do anything else when I’m walking with it when vlogging… are u walking with it attached to a selfie stick or holding it hand held? because that can make a massive difference
ah thank u, glad u like them 😎 so I just meant in terms of setting things like the bitrate correctly, making sure the numbers match up with ur timeline, the codec, just those types of things
LOVE YOUR EXPLANATION in these videos. Great job.
Great style of speaking slow and clearly, easy to listen to. Thanks for the settings tips.
glad u liked it 😎
You lighten my day James, keep 'em coming!
thanks man 🌞🌞🌞🌞😎

Enjoyed the talk, a lot of simple info that goes a long way, just set and go nothing more if asked
glad u enjoyed it! and yeah, that’s the way to do it 😎
Loving the content brother 💪🏾

Nice Video, Essy to understand..But you forgot to tell us, Should we Record in Hevc or H264?
Great video. 2 questions. Where is the tripod from and what do you mean about getting the export right? You have me worried now 😊
thanks 😎 here’s the tripod I use… amzn.to/4dWRyvd and with the export, all I meant was make sure everything is being exported with the correct settings like the bitrate, resolution ect because if not then it could make the end result not look the best

Hi James! Do you usually use follow mode? and what about selfie mode (face tracking)? Thanks!!
hey, yes I use follow mode mainly and I have face track turned off as I find it too sensitive a lot of the time which makes the footage a little jerky
James love the video. I am going to take this bit of advice and put it into my video making. I watched the tutorial you had on CapCut and I can honestly say I’m having problems of that. Is there a more simpler way of doing the editing help?
glad u liked it 😎 is it just CapCut your finding tricky to use or just the whole editing process in general no matter what the software is?
Informative like always
thanks! glad u liked it 😎

Do you use ND Filters in Pro Auto Mode ??

ah thank u, glad u like them 😎 so I just meant in terms of setting things like the bitrate correctly, making sure the numbers match up with ur timeline, the codec, just those types of things
You are soo funny :) Thanks for the video :)
glad u enjoyed it 😎😉
How to change settings so the writings are not backwards thanks
go into the settings and turn ‘selfie flip mode’ off 😎
Are you in 24/25p or 60 FPS?
25
