this is the most useful review I have watched for this toy. you show how to do stuff i haven't figured out yet, you point out some serious concerns, but you aren't just hate rant on it like many critic reviewers. i must have seen 30 videos that point out its strengths but mostly sound like the reviewer was sent a script with a free camera (you know, like a bribe?)
For someone considering purchasing an Ace Pro, I’m not one of them.. this is a useful video covering actual use information rather than the usual run through the specs. Well done chap !
What camera were you using when recording @ 10:37? I sometimes have the very same issue with some of my cameras, the air around the trees becomes blue. Any idea why?
Awesome video, mate. The bit mounting it just with the flip screen is mental. I probably would not have figured out myself, even though I'm not that clueless. :D Getting mine on Monday. Update: you're so original, I instantly followed you (which does not happen often)
thanks man 😎 glad u found it useful! ur gonna love it when it arrives, its a great little camera that u can do some really cool stuff with! ahh, thanks!!! welcome aboard 🥳
You covered many things not covered by other "tutorials". Watching from the PHILIPPINES and this camera belatedly, as usual, is now available here, but always a bit more expensive. I was wondering about horizon lock as well and if you can turn it on and then record properly with it hanging upside down. Compatibility with the DJI wireless mike is also important. Many thanks. I have been back and forth between this Ace Pro and Action 4.
@@james.loxtonThe fact is it is removable. Officially means nothing. You could say that removing the lens cover and putting it back or replacing it oneself might jeapordize the waterproofness. But it is removable.
Hi Mr. @James Loxton. Here's another tip for you. The Insta360 Ace Pro can record footages while connected to an external power source, like a power bank, with, AND ESPECIALLY, WITHOUT ITS BATTERY!!!! I just tried it and it works!!!!
La actualización no soluciona el enfoque cercano, no es un problema de fabricación, se debe a que el sensor es grande y el enfoque es fijo/// La mínima distancia focal la tiene dentro de los 50cm.
hmmm, I love both cameras and both can do the same but also different things. the ace pro isn’t massive or too heavy but compared to the go 3 which is definitely smaller and lighter if it’s portability ur looking for I would say the go 3, if it’s quality ur looking for I would say the ace pro
Great tips 👌 keep up the great work! Would you mind sharing which camera you are using to record this video?! The quality is so good compared to the Ace pro! Wait ..I think it's the Osmo pocket 3 .. just noticed the shadow 😅
I use Premiere Pro and has not issues at all with importing files, I use it to even import 8K video and export with no issues. As for the mount clip, I neglected to actually read the manual but finally did, there's a method to get that clip on and secure and it works fine, never had mine 'pop' off, connect the mount on an angle, then press in the other side, you'll here a click, that's all ;)
oh really?! well at least u haven’t had any issues importing clips but as u can see unfortunately I have which is why I tried to find a way round it… and yeah that mount is a little fiddly at first but once you’ve played around with it, BINGO! 😎
Hello! Great tips, especially about the 100fsp for flickering lights, it’s so annoying when I see it. It can also happen in interior lighting settings - like ikea!! Can you please address the vest settings for interior shooting. Another great vid, always very informative and you seem to get the best out of it! I’ve seen other creators going mad over the close focus but you seem to have nailed it!! 👏👏
thank u 😎 yeah the flickering lights in videos annoys the hell out of me haha 😂 the best settings for indoor shooting in my opinion would literally be 4k, whatever frame rate u want based on where ur shooting (so if it’s the uk like me I shoot in 25fps for normal shots and 50fps if I’m gonna slow it down later, those frame rates will stop the light flickers) standard as the color profile, high as the stabilization, dewarp as the fov and everything else in auto mode… it does a really great job in auto mode but obviously if u want more control with the shutter speed, white balance ect then set those things manually and don’t forget if it’s darker inside then shoot in pure shot instead of normal video mode to help remove the grain & noise, oh and don’t forget to turn low light stabilization on 👍🏾
Hi just to let you know your first sentence is wrong the lens cover is removable its only glued on with 2 tiny blobs of glue and aliexpress sell filters and lenses that come with a plastic tool to remove the lens. videos are on YT
I am assuming 99% of this video was shot on DJI Pocket and the difference in quality between DJI and the subject is overwhelming - colours, sharpness, almost natural bokeh... I like it so much! Unfortunately, DJI Pocket 3 doesn't have a waterproof case which is a dealbreaker for my usage scenarios...
ur spot on! yeah the difference between them both is major! it’s annoying about the lack of underwater casing/water proofing with the pocket 3, that is unfortunately one of its down sides
😂😂 yes! but what I meant was as of time of recording this video u could essentially create how ever many AI warps as u like in a day (with a limit of 90 per month) so for example u could 1 day create 20 if u wanted to but from January 2024 ur limited to 3 max per day

Thanks James for taking the time to make this video. I have learnt a lot from it for using my Ace Pro. And a BIG thumbs up.
no problem 😎 glad u found it useful! good luck with it!
Good stuff - happy with mine so far
Thanks! Great video. Answered a LOT of questions.

As a new Ace Pro owner, this video was really helpful!! Thank you.

I am planning on getting one, and I have saved this awesome video as a perfect users manual. Thanks!
ahh, glad u found it useful 😎 it’s a great camera! U will love it when u get it

good video, learned some new things, thank you!

How did you get the DJI Mic to work through the USB-C port on the Ace Pro w/o the insta360 sound adapter?

Thanks man, so many useful tips on this video and also things to be aware that I have not seen in any other video about the Ace pro.

Incorrect! The lens cover IS removable. Aftermarket replacements are now available. There is a tool that enables you to remove them.
thanks for the info but officially it’s not removable like it is on other action cameras
Thanks for the tip

Send it in for water damage and let them bow out of the repair for breaking the seal. GL with that. That’s where “officially” comes in.

ah thanks for sharing that 👍🏾
BRILLIANT video, solid gold!!

Hi James what is the accessory you’re using for this video in order to have the smart follow when you move ?
hey, I’m using the insta360 selfie stick tripod… amzn.to/3Y8Ee1g
@@james.loxtonhi James thank you but sorry I meant for example at 26 mins of your video I see your camera following you 😅 how did you do it ?
ohhhh! I was filming using the pocket 3 and had active track enabled. so when u have that activated the camera follows the subject you’ve selected 😎
@@james.loxton thank you very much !!!
For the audio cut off at the beginning of recording, there is an easy turnaround. I set the pre-recording to 15 sec, and I don't have any cut-out.
thanks for the info 👍🏾
Just tap the battery icon to pull up the charge percentage.
Which 🎤 mic your using on shirt can you share a link

Thanks for the tips 😇

13:11 it's better to use a USB-C - USB-C extension cable. Maybe you can find a short one and attach it to the selfie stick.
what a good looking block no h0w0 (turn the w upside down haha)
haha! thanks man! 😝
Any thought on the new Ace Pro firmware update? How's the sound w/ the DJI Mic 2? Any fixes to the close focusing issue?

pocket 3 🤩
Get a lens filter cpl thingy?
Amazing camera I can’t wait to get mines at the end of this month

Yo James, I really gotta know your opinion. Insta360 go 3 or Ace pro for portability and quality. Which is better?
