I hope they release a version with an upgraded 1 inch sensor for better low light performance instead of the half inch sensor in the X4!
The camera is absolutely amazing with 8K H265 @ 200Mbit/s. But the night shots looks too dark for my liking.
Great video love it, thanks! so watching this in youtube there is almost no noise in the video. Is that your findings as well? how does the low light compare side by side to the X3 and the Ace Pro pure video mode?
glad u liked it 😎 yes! I was surprised how little noise there is, I do think the insta360 studio does some noise removal when u export each clip (even if u don’t ask it to) because when I watch the clips back in the studio before exporting there is a lot of noise. the ace pro definitely performs the best in low light against the X3 & X4
Thanks for the low light test performance...it helps a lot understanding how it comes out!
no problem 😎 glad u found it useful
How is the stabilisation smooth when it's off? Did you use gyro flow software?
Also does it store gyro data?
insta360’s flowstate stabilization was turned on, when it’s off the footage is basically not really usable cos it’s all over the place. it can be adjusted inside the studio app
Very interresting and informative video - Many thanks. What make/model was the portable light you used at the beginning in the car?
glad u found it useful 😎 here’s the link to the light is was using… amzn.to/3WfN0dm
@@james.loxton Many thanks.
just got the x4. ngl. this low light settings look good especialy at 4:41 i do concert stuff. I cant wait to test this sunday at a show
yeah manual mode does look pretty good! ah nice, I’m sure ur gonna get some great shots 😎
Hey, how did it go? I’m looking to get one for concerts as well.
So there is now an option for low light stabilization from X4?
yesss! but as I said in the video it does darken the image quite a bit
I'm new in vlogging and tested the Insta360 X4 in low light too, I found it grainy on my videos. But after watching vlog, I must try your tips and adjust the best settings for Insta360X4 thanks
yeah it’s not the best in low light but slightly better than the X3, all we need is a bigger sensor and we are good to go! but yeah mess around with some of the settings I used and u can get some useable results 😎
I did the same settings but getting lot of grains/blurr in the video... How to fix them...
is the grain and blur showing inside the studio before u export or after u export?
Nicely done.
thanks 😎
I don't regret getting the AcePro. I wanted a different form factor anyway.
both great cameras 😎
I have x4 and pocket 3.. pocket 3 is wayyy better for low light .. obviously x4 has its advantages for other things, but ya, low-light, pocket 3!
yeah the pocket 3 is the low light king no question 👑
@@james.loxton such a pity that the Pocket 3 is not a 360 camera though. I love the fact that I can do different types of reframing edits, including quick pans and jump cuts, so I'll wait a 1" version to come, hopefully later this year.
osmo pocket 3 much better in low light
yeah 100% but it does have a bigger sensor so that’s to be expected
oh no, why did you use such awful music, that's terrible, I don't like such music at all, because it makes me very sad and depressive.🙈🙈🙈 Informative video by the way, I guess, I'm keeping my X3.
ahhh that’s a shame! I guess with music it’s obviously gonna be a personal preference thing. at least u still found the video helpful even if u had to watch it on mute 😂😜
@@james.loxton yeah, that's right. 😁😁
In the city, there is all kinds of light, that’s not really an accurate test
what did u want me to do? walk around in pitch dark? a setting like this is what a lot of people will be filming in, low light with some lights around
@@james.loxton yes I wanted to see how it would operate in the dark. I don’t live in a city, I don’t like to be in the city, but I like to record out in the country where it is very dark. and I am trying to find a camera that actually works with the claim of being able to video at night. It seems like every camera that advertises it skirts around that issue and never really answers the question.
ah I see! yeah this is definitely not the camera for that! I would recommend the DJI pocket 3 as it’s much better in low light due to its bigger sensor. I do have a low light test video with that camera but it’s walking round the city again so probably not what u want to see but maybe search TH-cam for another low light video on the pocket 3 in darker situations to see if u like the look of that
yes! he should definitely film a black hole instead just walking around 🤣
Nice work. The X4 does better than the X3, but it still doesn’t look all that great in my opinion.
thanks 😎 yeah it’s not a crazy massive jump from the X3’s results just a little improvement
