This video is so good! In the last month I’ve bought the osmo pocket 3 and the DJI mini 4 pro and the action 5 is definitely in my list especially as we are heading to Orlando next October

Wow. That was a great test of the Action 5 and a pretty good showcase of the parks. I guess they're doing as well as they can with the lowlight mode and the small sensor but it looks really processed. I'm wondering how it compares to the Ace Pro's Pure Video mode.

@@james.loxton a DJI rep confirmed in the community portal that they would be addressing the low bitrate in the next firmware update. It was not a formal statement, but it was from a DJI Rep.
Absolutely epic video buddy … I had it on the tv and the misses said she’d loved it too. Few questions. Straight video … no 10bit with post colourisation? Secondly, I’m guessing the screen dimming was battery saving or did it stay dimmed throughout the rest of filming? Mine arrived a few days ago and I film ebike reviews, been using the Ace Pro for a while but now I’m an action cam addict (bought my first one a year ago and bought most since, X4, GoPro 12, GoPro 13: insta360 3S, DJI pocket 3, and the for mentioned the Insta360 Ace Pro and now this) and finally happy with my sound, took me a while but I’ve got there now. For me I may now be able to simplify it down to 5pro and the DJI 2 mic and my iPhone 15 Pro Max which means not having to carry soooo much stuff that I invariably never need. I’ve two reviews to do next week, so I’ll be using this set up for those … getting the workflow tuned in. Plus. With the Ace Pro 2.0 imminent I’ll probably buy that too (I’m going to be reviewing other things so the best action cam is going to be important). Keep up the good work chap, this video deserves far more views but I guess this is a flooded marketplace of reviewers, but I’ve followed you for a long time and love your work. I feel I’ve been on holiday with this one. 😂 Oh yeah … I did wonder about the shopping trolleys.

I think the screen dimming was due to it being so hot, it lasted the whole time I was inside Epcot park which was just under an hour or so, weirdly the camera didn’t actually feel hot at all just a little warm. oh wow wow wow! you’ve got quite a collection there haha 😂😂 but yeah like u say simplifying it down a little makes life easier when out shooting cos I always take so much gear that I don’t end up using most of the time. looking forward to seeing how the ace pro 2 performs when it arrives, hopefully soon! thanks again man, comments like this make it all worth it 😎
I’m looking for a small action camera, not for action, but for mall walking tours, city walks and walks at night in the city lights. I have the pocket 3 and I love it but I want something to compliment it thats a bit more rugged and can do low light. I was about to buy the ace pro but then this action 5 dropped. Do you think the action 5 is a good option for evening and night walking videos? And mall walking? Would you recommend it overall?
The low light is very noisy, still jittery and a bit over sharpened. I know upping the shutter speed manually helps with the jitters. DJI should do something about that ASAP in a firmware update though.
They need to just make night mode a locked 1/240 shutter with high ISO, and lowered texture and sharpness, and it will fix it all. Luckily it can be done in camera.
loved the vid. yep I have the dji action 5 pro and i can never hate DJi yep there are flaws in the camera but I still love it as well as the DJi Neo with all the flaws I still love it.. im sure DJI will address the issues but to me the issues don't bother me.

this video was shot literally a few days after it was released and at that point in time u couldn’t change the bitrate settings… now that u can, I have mine set to high

totally totally agree! they have to fix it in a firmware update cos right now it’s not so ‘super’ 😂

action video quality looks dim, it is like there is sunglass in front of the camera
