Just done mine today. A bit awkward without the lever bar. I had to get my mate to use a long piece of wood and then he stood on it to drop the axle down enough to remove the spring.

The newest bosch 18v multi tool is probably the best I've used , much less vibration than the dewalt , I've just started buying the pavkout system , set of 2 , 3 and 4 drawers , wheeled base , amd I've put the crate on top , for cable , lights etc , im waiting for the rolling drawer box coming early next year

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just bought one of these off a mechanic mate of mine. I've had to buy my own motor after 20 years of company cars. I love it. Was gonna gonna get a van, but this will suit me better. 1.4T with 52k on the clock.

Very good video but it's a job from hell. This was on a 2016 Seat Ibiza but it's identical. I couldn't twist the resistor back into place, had to oil and trim the plastic circular mount thing. I don't have big hands but getting a grip on that thing is impossible. Side panel doesn't need to come off does it??? When I tried pushing it back one of the lugs broke, so it's not flush now - all fixed now, took a blade to it to trim the edge and an awkward lug. Just the one screw left over. Three and a half hours later I'll pay someone else next time! (added bonus: found a cd player I had no idea was there, lol)

Not sure about the keys as far as I know prefacelift don’t come with keyless, With the wobble genuine Ford drive shafts are mega money your looking about £1400 quid I recently bought two apec ones pretty much identical to the Ford ones and its prefect plus done track days no issues at all and both shafts cost £300 quid from part service or you can get them from Colin’s performance The squeal could be loose bolts on the manifold I had the same thing when I got mine or oil filter housing but I’d take the aux belt off start it up and see if you get the noise if you don’t then it’s possible a tensioner or alternator pulley noise

Thats a prefacelift which means it never came fitted with keyless entry. Someone has done half a job retro fitting it. Put it back to standard. Buy a genuine bonnet lock kit from Ford and go back to one key. Wobble is drive shaft or shafts, only replace with standard Ford ones. they are about £350. Nothing will be better than the Ford ones. squeeling could be a tensioner, check the oil filter housing for leaks.

I'd suggest using the suction cup before fixing the camera permanently.

Excellent video but need clarification as to what "behind" the window mechanism means - got there in the end though and not being very mechanically gifted I feel very smug although with these excellent directions it was fairly easy.

1 hour to fit with all the tools ready to use and if you have the batwing fairing like me you need the angle brackets or the display guard does not fit right, it does seem better as I am a short person with scottish arms so the offset is a boon as it brings them closer as well as up. My next big trip is a Scotland tour next June 4 nights ride and camp about 600 miles, I have done a big run about 2500 miles in 2023 without the risers so it will be a good comparison as I did feel I was leaning forward while riding and this causes the shoulders to ache.

Thanks for the video, very helpful, though, I am getting confused as to which way you run the wire, is your lighter positioning that will determine that - i.e. you ran it to the left and others went opposite way, if you'd decide later on to install a rear cam, I am assuiming the wire will be running from the front cam to the right and across to the rear window?🫣🤔 Regards, Florin

So what did you conclude? Worth buying or not? Looking at it the stickiness seemed like Arlon, perhaps not quite as sticky as that but more so than 3M or Oracle for example. You didn’t need to use the squeegee much either so looked like air came out easily enough and I didn’t see you fighting with creases so it appears like it’s a decent product.

Hi, got a question for you. Ive got a Ford Puma ST Line 2021 and im fitting a Dash Cam myself. Thing is do i put it to left or right side of the mirror? Right behind the mirrir is quite a big panel on windscreen, so it would need to go either side of that i guess? LOL

Do you still have your bar risers on with the cowl? I have the same one and am looking for risers. Seen a few that say they don't work with this cowl and I really don't want to lose it.

Trust me this Opel Zafira (in EU is Opel) is so bad and conpared to VW Touran is worth nothing. Engine keeps braking,injectors not working well every 100.000km and squeeking cockpit,bad handcraft... It's not worth It😉
