Rock Lights
มุมมอง 3554 ปีที่แล้ว
Installation of Rock Lights on 2001 Jeep TJ. These will definitely help out on those night rides when you can't see anything, especially when your're on some new trails and don't know the terrain. I chose RGBW lights because they have a designated white light instead of mixing colors together to make white.
Trailhead Cowl Intake

With the shortage of room under the hood and having to move somethings around due to the 1 Ton swap getting rid of the old air box was a must. This setup is great for a stock Jeep but it's nice to be able to clean up the engine bay and get some cooler air to the engine. To solve this issue I'm installing Trailhead's Air filter kit, really easy install and the finished product looks great!
Aluminum Dash
มุมมอง 2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I will be cutting out the middle section of the Jeep TJ dash and building a new one out of aluminum. This gives it a clean look and makes a new spot for switches or a larger touch screen stereo. I wasn't exactly sure how to bend this but after a few different setups it turned out good. The key is only do small bends and then check to see where you are at so you don't go too far. T...
How to change ball joints
มุมมอง 3514 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I will show you how to change your own ball joints and save you tons of $$. Changing your own ball joints will require you to purchase new ball joints and a ball joint tool kit , which most auto parts stores will rent for FREE. Always remember to pay attention to how the ball joints come out and to properly torque them to the correct spec. Keep in mind after replacing ball joints ...

Replace your bent or broken control arm bracket

Replace your bent or broken control arm bracket
Hey Boss 😎, thank you so much for this video. Very informative and has led me to make some new purchases, but I wanted to ask your input if that’s all right. Currently at a 4 inch lift with 33s, skid plate drop of 1 inch with a slip yoke on a 231 case I am planning on buying a 1 inch motor mount lift, 1.25 inch body lift kit, and slip yoke eliminator. After installing these items I would be removing the 1 inch skid plate drop down. Do you foresee any problems coming up with this list of upgrades? Is there an immediate need to upgrade to a long arm or can I keep it short arm for this upgrade? Eventually, I’m going to do a tummy tuck on my jeep TJ 2004, to hopefully get it as flat as you have it. Thanks and wish you well. Have a great rest of your year and hope you’re still out there riding.
Just curious, what brand are the rims?
I don't have a grinder
Great video thanks for sharing I appreciate it. 💯👊🏼 going to do mine now. 🙏🏼
no shots of the finished arm?
Why does the door open towards the passenger
Excellent video. Very helpful. I'm preparing to install a rad in my 66 V-8 jeep.
😢9⁹😊
drink everytime he says tube adapter 😂
What about body mounts for 99 xj?
You are awesome bro. The two cuts worked like a charm!!
Love the Gloves
Not saving $ on your website. You $100 for a single heim joint? insane
doing it tommorow
oil it up
Great job! What is your plan to join the two aluminum pieces together? Are you planning to weld them?
Looking to do this. Do you recommend the kit you bought and what are they called/manufacturer?
Who makes that radiator looking for one for my rat truck the same size 24x16 only o e can find is a Griffen and I've had bad luck with them
Nice!
Is your Jeep still riding smooth with these also is there any sound after installation?
Gorgeous! 🤤
Could you make me the exact same aluminum dash. I have a 2006 TJ.
what year
PREPARATION ! PREPARATION ! PREPARATION ! LUBE ! LUBE ! LUBE ! LUBE ! Now, if you would have used Anti-seize on that joint the last time you had it disassembled, the removal would be no big deal. But, seeing that whomever installed that pitman-arm didnt, you should have sprayed a little (Or a lot) of PB-Blast/WD-40/CRC-556 above the pitman-arm so the lube would seep down into the joint, the day before, that pitman arm would have fell off w/that much force ! Experience = Wisdom & Know-how. Just sayin'. Also, I always apply anti-seize on my pitman-arm joints. Some people will disagree w/that because its part of the steering-linkage. Well, I've been working w/Pitman-arms (Automobiles) now for 40- plus years & as long as you use the correct & nut (who's threads are not as old as truck & all stretched out) & the same w/the lock-washer. Then torque it all down to spec's, you're perfectly fine. Just like wheel-lug-nuts. I use ample Anti-seize on them. As long as they're torqued down to correct spec's, you're golden. WORK SMARTER..
Great and precise video...thanks for sharing this! I do have a question though...I have a 98 Wrangler (4.0) that I just put stainless steel brake lines on, and after bleeding them for the 4th time my pedal is still going nearly to the floor. SO, the master cylinder is gonna get changed out. My question is since (other than larger wheels/tires) my rig is basically stock, would this master cylinder benefit me? Thanks in advance for your time!!
Awesome break down 👍
How did they work?
Can transfer case drop blocks be used instead of cutting the tunnel ?????
When you’re using tcase spacers all you’re doing is bringing it down to prevent bad driveline angles which you’ll get when doing a suspension lift. I wanted a flat skid plate which I’d why I did what I did
Wasn’t even sprayed with Kroil…TNT spray..PB Blaster etc…
Pro tip of the day...... thread some nuts on those rings before welding the bolts, that will keep them straight! Nice video!
Free information I'll do that
nice video how many inch dod you got is not the 2.4 ? . thanks beautiful Jeep
Just a one inch. Anything over that I think looks funny in my opinion
@@CardinalOffroad thanks so much for the reply and yes 100% is true 1 inch perfect i appreciate your reply thank you i got the full kit 1 inch .. 👍🏻
You’d have a killer market for 88-98 k1500s trucks. They discontinued them so we can’t get any new lower control arms. 🤦♂️
Setting up my first Jeep TJ and this has been super helpful info. Installing a Currie lift and trying to make sure I go down the right path...Thanks!
I was just thinking about cutting mine.its going down tomorrow i gotta go to work.1 cut would have been all you need.just tiny bit of flex
About an hour? ... you should try this on a CJ...lol
I hate to burst your bubble but I think you should use the old washer with a built on bushing
Tried that with angle grinder still won't come off
One of the sickest jeeps ahead of it's time too
Thanks.,.
God damn man ur welds are cleannnnnn
You didn't have to do anything with the input shaft? Thought I was reading about needing an extender from teraflex??
Man I like how u explain suspension builds. Hope u build more soon
Man i wish u had a new TJ u were building from scratch. I love how informative ur videos are.
I wont cut pitman arm
The Jeep looks great! Been saving some of your videos for later for ideas. How much front stretch were you able to get out of it? The most I've seen besides going full hydro is around 3". Is your setup similar or did you find another way for some more stretch?
I can’t remember I feel like I did more than 3. My WB was 112
@@CardinalOffroad Appreciate the response, yeah that makes sense if its more than 3". Right now I am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish a 4-5" front stretch without going full hydro.
What size lift motor mounts did you use to raise your engine in order to have a flat belly skid?
1” and 1” body mount. I did cut tub some but I had a 241 tcase
Awesome video. Thanks for explaining all this I am currently doing a rear double triangulation right now on my TJ and will be welding my lower control arm brackets to my skid plate and if I can get my skid plate that much higher that means my lower control arm brackets at the frame.l will be that much more out of the way.
Definitely tac stuff. It’s crazy how just the right flex can cause an issue.
Man I tried everything on mine puller pickle fork heat hammering on puller didn't do shit
This video is VERY helpful. Thank you for this!
