I see this is 2 years old still valuable info I had a question when you measured did you do it with weight on the ground I see it’s jacked up but is there weight on the springs thank you
It doesn’t matter if it’s on Jack stands or the tires. I put it on stands so I had more room. You just want to make so the axle is centered and at ride height
Awesome great video, I'm doing a classic bronco project right now, one thing i notice is manufactures always make the trac bar a rubber bushing and / or a ball joint, and i see most off roaders do heim joints, will a heim joint cause more road noise ? debating whether to do bushings or heims (going to be mostly a road vehicle with small amount of off roading)
I drive mine on the road all the time you won’t notice any difference. Mine went down interstate better then most new vehicles. I’m thinking of doing a bronco next.
@@CardinalOffroad ok perfect ill start fabricating that using heim joints, thanks for the tip. Mine im going pretty wild on, diesel swap (im a ford diesel tech). Do you have a line on a classic or doing a fullsize ?
@@jake44575 that’s awesome! No I’ve been keeping my eye out. I like the classics. You can find the full size ones all day but hard to find a older one for not an outrageous price
Breaking Brad so a buddy and I did this last year. We put down the base then after it dried enough we used edging tape about a 1/4” wide I think. Did one color then another. And cleared when we finished. Pretty happy with it for a first time thing for both of us. I think the hardest part was getting the patterns right. If I did it again I would put my patters on the Jeep to get an idea before I started the process so we didn’t have to hurry to figure them out.
Cardinal Offroad I appreciate the quick reply! Love your build and your very informative videos. Do you have an Instagram with updates and such by chance?
Cardinal Offroad well thank you so much for the videos. You cover some things that I don’t see elsewhere and it is great. I’ve subbed and I’m looking forward to what else there is to come. Take care
Nope not at all. The only thing that’s important is making sure your drag link and track bar are close to the same length and are in line with each other at each end where the heims are. Mine drives awesome down the road at 80 with no issues at all.
Saludos desde BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR. Mexico , tengo un tj y aprendo mucho viendo 👍

How did you do your paint job? Looks great and I’m wanting to do something similar with my silver base

Breaking Brad Thanks!
I’m scared of bending my steering components
And track bar
Will the bends affect anything when when it moves up and down ?????
