What is the casting number of that head ?
523298 1956 - 347 cu. in. off a GMC Tow Truck :) We are building a 389 for it and need to reduce the compression

Nice engine, mild cam for sure. Id prefer 255-266 @.050 with a 108 LSA with that much cubich inch and being NA & under-valved. But if it's a power brake cruiser, I understand. I guess I wouldn't use an IAII block without wanting to make some big power. I dont know if I've heard you say this engine will have a power adder? If so, I understand the need for a stout shortblock. With boost , I would think it should be capable of 700 HP or a fuzz more on pump gas and proper timing control. I can't wait until I have a couple IAII blocks. They are nice pieces.

@@phillipthethird42 I honestly was so busy talking with everyone I know and helping guys with their cars I couldn't get to any comments. My son didn't get to go this weekend, so I was flying solo.
@@dcimotorsports1111 Thank you for responding Don . We can talk more on Wednesday but I did want to mention that I think the "RAV3N" was already hurt before it made that first pass. What do you think ?
@@phillipthethird42 It was not hurt before that pass, but did exhibit a problem we couldn't identify with our limited resources at the track. Ed made a short test hit earlier and the AFR's looked okay enough to try another hit. I'll explain more on Wednesday's Podcast.

Crazy problems. I would consider 2 injectors per cylinder. Switch to Methanol its more forgiving at the 2500-3000+ Hp Ed Page is Running at. I follow Steve Morris His SMX and SML Custom engines also. 2 injectors used per cylinder. Drag and Drive SMX Big Dog BBC and 426 Hemi Hybrids Steve's Design uses 3 sets of injectors per cylinder. 24 total. 16 are For Track Methanol passes. 1 set hidden under the intake manifold is for Pump gas 91 - 93 octane driving duties.

Luke had an incredible weekend. He ran 12's with a car he bought and paid for with his own money he earned at DCI Motorsports , and built it himself with the knowledge he gained at DCI Motorsports :) His Dad and Mom are super proud of him as well as Myself for his accomplishments. There were lots of guys there this weekend running way slower and double or triple his age. It gives me incredible faith in our youth.

It wasn't until I saw the tag on the back , that I get the name " Raven" ...spelled RAV3N . I'm reserving the rights to ; RAV4N .
I like that he got everything under the stock hood , but I wouldn't want to work on it. It looks like even the plugs would be a pain in the ass.
Spark plugs are actually easy to get to thankfully.

I like the Dyno Max Mufflers and used to run those on my truck as well for 12 yrs. Running Flowtech now to match my headers.
Its funny how we all used to like Flowmasters back in the day :) I'm with you I like the more mellow tone.
