    I see that your PCV valve is connected to the #2 intake port. On my 400 with a Performer RPM intake, I had the PCV valve connected to a port on the #7 intake runner (using a plumbing kit sold by Butler) and it oil fouled the #7 spark plug after a 500 mile highway trip. You may want to check your #2 spark plug after some run time. . .

      You are right and we don't normally run a PCV with our performance engines only the stockers. Unfortunately the f tee broke because it was old and brittle. So we just hooked into that position to set the idle mixture for the customer. He is buying a new F tee and hooking to both planes of the intake like factory. Thanks for following !!! Pontiac engines are ideal for boats. The gap under the intake manifold is perfect for putting a chain on it, making it a perfect anchor.

    this is why people run the pertronix or MSD.. because you can control the initial and mechanical and put it wherever the engine wants it with some bushing and spring changes. because a bigger cam is gonna want more inital but you have to able to limit the total timing to where it makes the most power.
    the MSD E curve is especially good at this although i MAY go pertronix..not sure yet its just a 302 ford i may turn into a 331 in my foxbody

      You sir, need to learn how to curve a distributor, either with an old-school Sun distributor machine, or a dial-back timing light..

      Its funny you say that. My wife who I have trained her ear to hear a misfire said the exact same thing. It does sound like it in this video, but its a header leak on the back tube popping making it sound like that. Good ear though 🙂 Please subscribe and hit the notification bell for our future videos. Is that engine solid lifters 💁‍♂️

    • @pauljanssen7594
      @pauljanssen7594 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On hydraulics if you set the valve lash 1/8 of a turn or quarter turn you will get a little bit noise.

      @@keilveil9153 Well, because it's a Pontiac. Like a Harley-Davidson, it's not about the non-existent power, it's all about the noise... er .. uh .."sound".

      No its a hydraulic, but you can really hear the exhaust leak in this video on the back header tube. Makes the engine sound like crap LOL.
