Forgot to mention that the valve covers on this engine are only for the initial warm up and initial break in. We will be installing a set of our custom engraved covers later nest week.
Really glad Don that you put that cam on a 110 LSA instead of what most builders do is a 114 because the size of the engine is so big... I really dont like it when people build a performance engine and then are worried about vacuum, so they widen out the cam and it ruins the bottom end on the torque....Thanks for sharing

Nice engine, mild cam for sure. Id prefer 255-266 @.050 with a 108 LSA with that much cubich inch and being NA & under-valved. But if it's a power brake cruiser, I understand. I guess I wouldn't use an IAII block without wanting to make some big power. I dont know if I've heard you say this engine will have a power adder? If so, I understand the need for a stout shortblock. With boost , I would think it should be capable of 700 HP or a fuzz more on pump gas and proper timing control. I can't wait until I have a couple IAII blocks. They are nice pieces.
I can help you scratch that itch 😃 Thanks for commenting and following my channel. Please subscribe if you haven't already. Come hang out with us on our Bench Racing Podcast every Wednesday night from 7PM to 8PM Eastern.
It will take a bit to get it installed. Will travel up to Don’s and get it when it’s 100% ready. Then I will have to squeeze some time in between my work shifts to do the install including a Vintage Air system, new TKX conversion and a 12 bolt install. Once all set up I will consult with Don for initial ignition mapping targets and AFR targets from idle to WFO. After that’s all wrapped up I will be renting a chassis Dyno session for fine tuning timing and FI fuel mapping. I will post a video and results when that happens. This was not a full effort build. Its purpose is easy drivability, reliability, endurance, etc. The internals will support a few hundred more HP than this package was targeted at so there is room for an improved cam, heads and intake package in the future. This was targeted to make around 600hp with more TQ than HP. This will be plenty in a stock appearing weekend ‘79 T/A. These EHeads with Don’s muliti angle valve achieve their advertised flow at .600” where the competition is lifting .700” to get the equivalent flow. By the way, Don’s valve job added 17cfm to an already street prepped CFM ported EHead.
@@dcimotorsports1111 I built a 468 Pontiac for my nephew. Kaufman heads 310cfm. North wind intake 900 cfm carb. All Pontiac block. Eagle rods and crank cam from comp cam. Found headers from headmen. 17/8 stepped to 2 inch Primary to 3.50 collectors. Engine made 612 hp and 632 tq. He is one happy youngster
I am so sick of half breed muscle cars LS Lame Shit into a GTO This shit set me off. I would love to find a early 70s Pontiac Ventura drop this engine in it with a four speed make is pure. YOU CANNOT FIND A NOVA STYLE VENTURA WITH OUT A SHITTY F IN SMALL BLOCK IN IT
I hear that !!! I love it when people at the track come over to my car or a customers car expecting to see a Chevy and see its a Pontiac. Then the look on their faces is priceless.
Last year I found a 72 Ventura over in Utah had a six in it with a manual trans never seen one it wa rough dude asking 950 on it wish I hadnt so many projects drop in a 455 with a four speed just leave it ratted that would of been bad ass I am sure the dude still has the car

Absolutely right on and glad you recognize why and what we do :)

Purrs like a tiger!❤
Glad you said Tiger and not Kitten LOL. Thanks for the Kudos !!!
One sweet engine! I'd love to see it run!
Hopefully Mark Marshall will share some in car video with us :)
Sounds like a B-29 radial at idle! Outstanding!
Man what a unit, sounds and looks awesome
Thank You Sir !!!

Absolutely !!! send me an email with with a note telling me what your wanting to build. dcimotorsports@scbglobal.net
Cool stuff. Will ya do a dyno pull ?

Ok, I'll be looking for it.
Very small headers for a big cubic inch engine
Unfortunately for us Pontiac guys and gals there are not a lot of header choices. If we want big tubes we have to build them.
