The literature that came with the BN-LINK model CP-U49A has the dip switches set for 240 volts as 2/3 on. The BN-LINK video has the dip switches set at 1/4 on, so which is correct?
@DavidNitzel-q5d this works for my setup and I've had no issues with it. The literature tries to cover all the major scenarios that somebody could use in a setup, but there are likely more ways. What are you powering? Same stuff? Pool pump, and salt chlorinator?
I would use the jumper to jump back to the timer circuit. The line wires should go straight to the no's. Coms then go to load.
where is the ups that is backing up your sensitive AC boards??
@robbenoit6065 the code here in Florida is to have surge protectors at the disconnects for the units, I also have a whole house protector masde by Eaton on the panel itself. As far as uninterrupted power supplies, I have two in this house but don't use them for the AC units as it's not necessary with the multiple surge protectors in place.

@JustinLucas-i4q Hey thanks, I'll check it out.
Hi - have you changed a thermocouple or igniter on this 250? Would love a video on that
@bytboy i have not. I did just troubleshoot a bad stack flu sensor and control board and replaced it. That video will be up soon... honestly, I'm hoping it stays fixed for a while, lol.
Also that huge box that doesn’t seal has the opening in the bottom it’s designed to use with 90 degree slim profile plugs so that while they are plugged in you can close the door and then lock it but I don’t know that I would recommend locking the door shut on a plug while it’s in use incase of something happening. But either way that’s how that one is designed
@@lanceboudreau3630 good to know, thanks.

@davem8836 I was just about 38 in this video, lol. I tried to remake this same video last year and almost died.
Just my 2 cents, but nobody gives a good damn about $10-15 bucks. They want the best performing product for several THOUSANDS of dollars of equipment. This is supposed to protect you in times of power outages.
So I did the 120v configuration and I got everything to work but the timer won’t work. Did I perhaps wire something wrong? I have it connected to lights and the off turns them off, on turns them on, but when I configured a timer, nothing happens. Any help is appreciated!
@professoroats7202 any luck setting up the app? It has a timer function.
@@JackofAllTrades1 Sorry, I forgot to mention that the one I hooked up was a digital timer and not WiFi one. It is from the same brand though.
@professoroats7202 follow the flow of power and make sure the timer lugs have both a hot and neutral wire. Also, make sure all of your grounds are connected. I think a lot of people wire these up and miss the bridges that join more than one lug to power. Check to see if your setup requires those as well.
Literally can’t even get mine to connect ! Ugh
@AndreaGrundy-t6m does it connect to the remote but not the app?

How long did this take you
@troyboynton4 probably an hour since I needed to clean each spot well. Lots of up and down on the ladder.
I coughed for 3 weeks after using play sand with this spot blaster. That was over ten years ago now.
@@jeeprenegade1985 you didn't use a respirator?
@JackofAllTrades1 no, I put a t shirt over my face after I started coughing. I was doing it over a garbage can to collect the sand. I didn't know play sand was that bad. I haven't used the blaster since.
@jeeprenegade1985 yeanive heard some bad stuff about it. Reason I was using that respirator in the video. However, I've since been told that's not enough if you are doing it a lot. You need something more industrial.
@JackofAllTrades1 I always said, if I use it again I'll wear a respirator, use a tarp and not a trash can, and stand up wind if there is a breeze going. I also had problems with it blowing straight air and then sand. It wasn't fast. I'm only selling it because it's too messy. I remember using it in 2012 or 2013, that was the last time.
Do you need to turn the gas off before doing all this?
@gmoneypower no, there is a valve that opens electronically to let the gas into the system, and that valve doesn't open until all safety requirements have been met by the heater. It goes through several checks.
I can’t find the cover plate???
@clayconnell7578 it's on ebay. I thought I listed it in the video description.

Just make sure to get the correct mounting hole size/configuration.
I would think because the compressor was equipped with that small ID plastic coiled air line and probably equally sized fittings on both ends your air volume was much less than you needed. Any restriction in ID of hose or fitting even at only 1 point reduces the air volume in the system you are using. Pressure can be maintained but pressure without enough volume really reduces efficiency.
Thank you. That was my problem.
@josephmasini6488 awesome, that's great to hear.
Hello wondering if you have an idea of whats going on with my Pentair heater. It has a service heater light that stays on till heater is ignited. It seems to fire up, I can hear it. It releases hot air from exhaust vent, but there doesn't seem to be hot water making it to the pool. It is slightly warmer, it will get the pool to about 75 degrees but that's it. Feeling the water coming into pool is not hot. Having trouble finding a Pentair Service tech anywhere around me. I would be able to change something out if knew what the issue could be. Thanks
@oscarsolis7786 how long have you let it run for? If you feel heat coming out of the exhaust... and I mean hot hot air, then it's heating something. Mine takes about 8 hours to heat up 12k gallons about 10 degrees. Are the water flow valves at the front of the heater open?
Thank you for replying. It can run days straight and not get above 75. It was previously getting very hot water to pool and you could feel it coming out. I'm starting to wondering, if a replaced gas valve regulator is causing an issue. It had a leak and had to be replaced about a year ago. Thgts on gas valve regulator? Or maybe something else that's not releasing the hot hot water? The exhaust is definitely hot air.
@osolisjr since the exhaust is hot, you have ignition. Maybe open and close your inlet and exit water valves near the heater. See if something is clogging it. I don't think the gas valve would be an issue unless they also changed something on the pool heater. Gas valve issue would keep the exhaust from being hot cause there would be no ignition.
@@osolisjr does your heater have 5 buttons on the front or 6?
Thanks a lot from Iran. I changed the piece and it stopped the water.
@MohammadYounessi-dr2up awesome, that's great to hear.
So why the zip ties? How do you tie down breakers?
@stick66 good question. The ties come with the kit, and I can only assume it's to better hold it all together.
My clock is working, I can hear it’s ticking but shows inaccurate time. It’s slow. Any advice?
@Rojs011 sounds like maybe it may not be seated all the way. Pull the yellow disk out to adjust the time and then make sure it springs back into its seated position. Maybe also push it in to help. Otherwise, it's possible the motor is not getting enough power or is wore out. Corrosion can cause higher resistance, which would cause some energy loss roo.
@ thanks, will try
hmmm...same motor but on ford ecoboost 2.0s the solenoid looks different and sits right on top of the engine under that plastic cover/between the ignition coils. Be careful when removing hoses! Lot of guys say they rip easy!
@salvatoregervasi9828 yea. I agree and even the smallest hole could leak enough pressure/vacuum to cause issues.
As I see the axe is almost as good as maul on this video.😅
@mladenkrsmanovic5814 yea and that maul will wear out out. Best to save it for the large pieces.

Very helpful Thanks, but I have a question. Couldn't you just pigtail off the 16v and keep your intercom chime?
@@klowe7695 great to hear!
@klowe7695 you could keep your chime but you must then retain the original button at the front door. The chime runs off DC voltage and your doorbell cam needs AC.
I just remove the push button and drill one hole to mount on old nutone plate.

So its not just white paint but the whole thick piece of raised lettering is white rubber?
@fallenone6 yes, it's not paint it's a layer of white rubber.
@JackofAllTrades1 your the truth brother, I was honestly afraid to do it still thinking it was white paint but I took ur word and I did it. It worked awesome, just as you said. Only thing is I used 600 grit, next time I will try lower grit. So it's not white paint after all. Thanks man!!
@fallenone6 yea np. Def use something smooth... even a magic eraser works (wet sanding). You will eventually get through the white rubber and back into the black. I think somebody said once you can do this about 20 times ever before running out of white rubber.
I will try that next time. So the raised lettering will be shaved down b4 the white runs out? Do you have a preferred tire cleaner and shine dressing you recommend?
Great video. we have the same heater and keep getting Error Code E5. Check the stack sensor with the multi meter and it was fine. Then Control panel and it indicated it should be replaced. Called our pool installer (pool is only 3 years old) They came out and replaced the Control Panel. Seemed to work for a couple of days and then started receiving Error Code E5 again as the heater would shut shortly after starting. Any suggestions?
@RobertSpengler-n4l so the pool goes all the way through the startup sequence, fires up, and then turns off immediately? Do you feel any heat come out of the rear exhaust at all?
What kind of sand do you use
@sherryn39455 i was using kiddie play sand here. You will need to be in a well ventilated area and have a proper respirator on for that... otherwise, I'd recommend using Blast media such as ground up walnut husks.

@@Unifiedavsolutions-tjb check the about section on the page.
Can you do 3 ring doorbells off of this set up????
@Unifiedavsolutions-tjb I don't see why not. Will depend on how much voltage drop you get and how much "overhead" you have left. Dont pigtail from one camera to the next. Let them have their own source.
Excellent video. My home has an old M&S N350 system. I’m trying to wire a Wyze wired doorbell to replace the existing M&S doorbell. However, there’s no schematic inside the main box. There is a sticker that says “Chime plug” pointing to a small plug on the board itself with 4 wires. There’s also a larger plug similar to the one you show that’s fixed to the wall that has the 6 ports but only 4 wires (2 yellow wires, one black and one green; the green appears to be a ground wire). I presume I need to use the larger plug like the one in your video but unsure which wires to use given that two are yellow. Any suggestions?
@koziolrj if you have a multimeter, you can probe several wires until you find the combination that gives you at least 16 volts AC. It's an inexpensive tool and has many uses.
I bought an altimeter (got it based on your red in the video). I will give that a try & check back if I have more questions. I figured the wire color didn’t matter too much but wasn’t sure if I was missing something.
I meant multimeter. And, I also meant to say thank you!
@koziolrj yea. Once you hit the right combo and it stays consistent, you will know you have current. If the reading shows negative, then that just means your red probe is on the ground and your black probe is on the positive. I don't think polarity matters with these doorbells, but just in case, it's good to know.
So, I finally got back to this project. I tested the wiring harness & am getting no reading whatsoever. I tested the multimeter with a battery & it’s reading correctly so I presume the wiring in the M&S is shot but thought I’d check in with you before I abandon ship. Any other ideas/suggestions? The original M&S doorbell hasn’t worked for years - the doorbell buzzes outside when it’s really humid & the inside unit makes clicking noises when that happens - in case that info is helpful.
L14-30, the inlets and cord you have, are twist lock.
What do you think if the fact that you have 5,000 watts that you are not accessing? Could’ve gotten by with a smaller generator say 15,000 peak 12,000 running. You wouldn’ve known the difference. You’re limited to the 12,000 W 50 amps
@@condor5635 I can always run some more cords to this if needed . It has several 20 amp outlets and one 30 amp.
@@JackofAllTrades1 - the point is you don’t ever intend on doing that so running just the 50 amp makes it a overpowered generator. You could’ve got by with a 15,000/12,000 W which would’ve been much more fuel efficient and handle essentially everything you’re doing now. Defeats the whole purpose of having the inlet box.
@condor5635 Yes, cause buying a smaller generator and running it full tilt is fuel efficient. I can run the entire house as if everything is normal at half load with this thing.
@@JackofAllTrades1 this additionally has horrible THD apparently from other posts I’ve seen. Bottom line this generator is really not suited for home use as much as commercial use at a job site. I’ll stick with the tri fuel option when I get a new one. I can 8000 W running during an emergency just fine
@condor5635 this is def better suited for a job site, but it cost me 500 bucks, so I'm not too worried.
Great video, thanks
Thank you
You talk to much
@@miguelferrer4644 there's a lot of information to cover.
So many people misunderstand what the product is for! Plain water boils at 212 degrees ferenheit. This product contains what science calls wet water. Any engine using plain water that gets to 212 or better is boiling just like a pot on the stove. Antifreeze/coolant raised the boiling point and lowers the freezing point. No motor built from 1960 on is designed to run without an antifreeze mixture. The cylinder wall in a motor gets hotter than a frying pan, try getting that pan hot the put water in it and see what happens what you see is what is happening inside the motor of your vehicle.
Thanks for the video. I have the exact same unit you used in the demonstration so this was really helpful. My question is around the doorbell out front. What do I do with the other two wires that were attached to the speaker that I removed? And also, does that mean I don’t need the Pro Power battery that came with the Ring doorbell because normally it is attached to the inside doorbell unit, which in this case I don’t have because of the intercom head unit that is used instead. Any help is appreciated. Thanks much!
@@BrendaKoskey you can tuck the other two wires back. Just arap them around the main wire... maybe place some electrical tape or wire nuts over the end. The pro power battery is not needed when you have an AC power supply. I use an Amazon echo as my ringer now for when the doorbell is pushed.
That’s what I was thinking but needed to hear it. Thank you so much, you’re the best!
Appreciate this info I'm trying to get my 64 olds going .
