I have a 2019 Lexus NX300, Fsport, AWD, with 10.3 screen, with 10 speakers with factory woofer , will these make a difference? I know that your is an IS.
Yes! They’d still make a difference 🙌.
It’s a great easy and cheap upgrade for the god awful base system in the 3is. I honestly can’t believe how much of a downgrade it is from the base 2is audio system. If you’re planning on upgrading the door speakers next to aftermarket you will need sak132 mounting adapters with Metra 72-8104 wiring adapters. I’ll be doing a full sound system soon with AMP + DSP, Sub, and all speakers.

Loved the video man, thanks for the tips! One question though. I'm not sure if you mentioned how many cans of each would I need if I am painting a full kit (splitter, side skirts, rear spats, and a diffuser?
@@offlinezyxYT I recommend one can of each for each piece! One for each skirt, the spats, front lip, and diffuser.
@@Grey3IS Sorry if I’m not understanding, but are you saying one of each can (primer, paint, clear coat) for literally every piece? That would be 18 total cans? I was thinking maybe 2 of each can would suffice. I just don’t wanna have to order more paint in the middle of painting.
@@offlinezyxYT About that much, yes. The side skirts alone took me 2 cans of each. The diffuser you can maybe get away with one can of each, but there is a lot of angles that you have to get good coverage on. Then the spats and front lip can maybe take one can of each for those 3 pieces. Coverage is very important. 🙂

I don’t wanna spend quite as much as you did but still want quality wheels. My ride is all stock accept I put some sound in it. Looking to start doing some upgrades to the appearance
@@sean_T_kelly There are mannnnnyyyy option out there! All up to the style and color that you’d like. To start, 18 x 9.5 +35 is a great size to get for them. From there, you can look on websites like fitment industries for different wheels. 🙂
Decided on a square set up 18x8.5x35 wheels undecided on tires but I don’t want stretch and I’m at stock height but wanna get the fitment as close to flush with the fenders as possible. You think 235/40/18 or 240/45/18 I could call fitment industries and ask them but figured you might have a suggestion
@@sean_T_kelly You could even do 255/35! That’s what the factory tire size is on the factory 8.5”. 🙂

Just did this upgrade today!! Holy crap you were right, such night and day difference!! Even added some rubber washers to help with vibration and friction tape on the short side to help it hold. Thing is going nowhere hahah. Huge upgrade to quality

It should be similar! Someone with a 2015 explained that their connector is slightly different. So you can use the same speaker, but maybe try to find the proper connector… or just try the one I linked 😅.
Does this only work for the 2014+ models? I have a 2011 a believe I only have one dash speaker
You can most likely replicate this for the 2IS, but something will definitely be different. Like the connector, it’s probably a style.

@@Grey3ISI figured out the issue it appears I was delivered some faulty ones after take a close look at the ones I received and looking at your video and online the adapter piece isn’t even the same 😭
Nope! Wheel spacers add weight, buy light weight rims with the right offset. You messed up...
Spacers are a very common addition for the 3IS community to help with stock wheel fitment. I wasn’t too worried about the weight aspect, especially that little, since I’m not racing anyway 😅. However, I now have fairly light SSR Reiner Type 10S, and enjoy their offset, weight, and fitment. 🙂 I appreciate your input.

Where did you get the plug in adapter for the center speaker (part number too)? I replaced front doors, rear doors, and added a powered sub. I left the center channel alone since it is weird 5 ohms vs. 4ohms for every other speaker.

@@takumahorikoshi2469 You’d have to experiment with other speaker designs/brands. A 4 inch one would be too big, so maybe you could also try 3.75 inch.
