I remember about 2 years ago my co worker got a 2018 charger which came with remote start. I did some research and my 2017 Lexus Is did as well. All you do is click unlock 3 times on key fob, wait for car to respond after each press and on the 3rd press… hold for 8-10 sec. it should start right up after some confirmation beeps. This feature is only to warm up your cabin and engine before the drive.
Yessir. This is true on some models. Not all. Mine didn’t have this as a free feature. You could pay yearly for it from Lexus, or get a system like this one.

@@boolin01 Thank you for your support! And since 200t has a single turbo from the factory, it would be a huge thing to try to convert it to have 2 turbos. Your best bet is upgrading the single turbo.
They worked out the bugs. The current app works great 2020.

You can use your key fob to remotely start your car like that straight from the dealers floor - do not need to add any aftermarket stuff....
Unfortunately not for the 2017 IS. Only the 2018-2023 still have the OEM remote start. The 2017 IS (and 2014-2016) used 3G to run the remote start system (which is now obsolete). They recently discontinued that service. Hence why I installed this. Lexus spoke a lot about it about a year ago when they first discontinued it. 🙂
This is an awesome videp dude! My only feedback is that you said you want to be in an open space so it can connect to a Satellite. Any device that runs off a US cell phone carrier like this, doesnt run off Satellite. They connect to cell towers. Just do you arent accidently spreading false information

@@no_manches2 Oh man. Sounds like someone either put an aftermarket infotainment screen in there or tried to put a different SD card for the navigation. I’d check the SD first and see if it’s the OEM SD card.
Lexus made all 2018 and up vehicles have key fob start standard (in case anyone doesn't know this) Press and release 'LOCK' 2X - Then a 3rd time and hold it until lights flash and it starts.

Not sure what Lexus you have but I have a 2020 IS350 F Sport and it doesn’t have remote start. I’ve tried your push button order and others and won’t work.

Im indecisive idk which between the key fob or the extra range key fob I don’t really see a need for the app to be honest but do you think this would be the best remote start for Lexus or there’s better?
If you don’t want to get the app, then I’d definitely get the long range key fob. Personally, I use the app all the time. But there could be other similar options out there if you just want the key fob integrated remote start. But this is definitely they best option for an app. The app has great response time, super accurate GPS tracking, and some other useful information.

@@Grey3IS Before any opening of connectors. We installed a remote start into a newer RAV4, and a few days later, they lost the infotainment display. We were not directly messing in the vicinity of that display, that I know of, but that was an expensive coincidence for Toyota as he claimed it under warranty. Not all things that go out are immediate. Latent damage, caused by voltage spikes or interrupted ground paths may show up later. Great channel, BTW.

Do you have a link for the 14 is350? The link in your description goes to 200t. Also after 10months of use whats your updated review. Did you end up using the standard starter no app?
If you go to their website, they should have a vehicle selector where you can choose your exact vehicle 🙂. And I’ve been loving it. I still use the app and it still functions amazingly.

It’s definitely a little tricky. It’s a very tight space. There wasn’t really a trick that I used, I ended up going at it with my hands. Felt around blindly.
i have a 2016 lexus is 300, since i have 3g on it does that mean the 12volt would still work on the key fob?
Hello! Thankfully it doesn’t matter what you have from Lexus, 12V Solutions will still work. I had the 3g service, but installed the 12V Solutions remote start because Lexus discontinued it.
Whats the run time on the 12 Volt Solutions and does it have a limit of the times it can be remote started before needing to go to the vehicle to reset with the OEM Remote start system.
It runs for 15min before shutting off. And it should be able to be used forever. No limit.

Hmm, that’s interesting. Mine didn’t do that. Thankfully, it’s really easy to change it. Just go to the settings in your gauge cluster, it’ll be one of the options. 🙂

Unfortunately no. Like you said, this is a feature that all Toyotas have. And I don’t believe you can shut it off 😕.

3G data service is being discontinued by the cell providers. Acura service is also being discontinued, not only Lexus.

I bought this for my 2016 rx450h. There's a purple wire labeled "hybrid," but there's no instructions or video that talks about this wire. I was wondering why my box kept cycling through colors and never synced up with the car. It's 12:45am and I don't think they're open on Saturdays. Very frustrated right now.

You’re lucky man! It looks like it’s all vehicles 2010-2017. And that’s probably one of the reasons the price of your remote is different, you’re on a 4G network. Not 3G. 🙂

This specific kit that is used in the video will not. I just looked on their website and I don’t see a kit specifically for your car. It’s worth reaching out to them though if you’re willing. They have decent customer service. 🙂

@@Grey3IS It did the “testing mode” didn’t work and removed the information I put in. Think I gotta take it out and apart again. Sucks just layout of the GS is much harder to reach things.😭 Had me turning and twisting installing it.

I installed it and the wireless module if it loses power then you can't reconnect it again. I tried resetting the module by removing the 8 pin connector and putting back after 30 seconds, but all it does is blink red. Wireless module company told me it is defective so I replaced it with another and when the battery dies on my car it happened again. I couldn't reconnect using the app.

Unfortunately this company does not make a remote start for your model year. I’m sure there’s one out there, just not 12 Volt Solutions.

Hello! Not that I am aware of (for Toyota/ Lexus). It’s an integrated safety feature that they have. Most American brands allow for you to keep it running while the doors are open though 🤷♂️ .

Lol you changed the color too. The NGP color on the app is ugly as shit/inaccurate. There’s also a new function that shows when your alarm goes off basically. Pretty cool

You need to tap it to the horn tho to use it. It will alert you 10 seconds after.

Did you have to bypass factory remote start
At the time, my factory remote start subscription expired. Therefore I didn’t have one when I installed this. However, it should work perfectly fine either way.
My subscription is over as well but mines would blink like it wanted to start but got an error code did not work and was told you cant have 2 remote start systems but I'm going to remove the fuse for lexus inform dcm and try to reprogram but thnx for your reply lexus needs to do better

I don't like how the car dies after you open the door when remote started. On Ford's it keeps the vehicle running and you can do the takeover procedure which is using the key.
Yeah, that’s a Lexus/ Toyota safety feature that you can’t get around unfortunately.
@@Grey3IS I've installed one on a Tacoma and it kept the truck running. Factory one would kill it once you open the door. I just ordered another kit a few days ago for my Police Interceptor. Wonder how that'll work lacking all those premium features. It's bare bones.

@Grey3IS 04 e320 no they show you how to take out headunit and not the rest on my model was on phone with them for hrs. Sent back 725 not worth it in my case.

There is a special name for it that’s given upon purchase. It’s through a personalized link.

Unfortunately, that is a safety feature that Lexus includes for all of their vehicles. Any remote start system you put on a Lexus vehicle will have this feature.
I wish it could be turned off too😣

I agree. Unfortunately, I don’t believe you can disable this. It’s a Lexus “safety feature”.
My key fob is unlocked. Has the same combination. I find it very annoying to click 3 times and hold. Not very accurate or reliable. Anyways, think the dealer can unlock your fob if you ask.

Depending on the model year , you may not be able to use the Lexus app. 2017 and older 3is's are losing app access in October as 3G service is retired. Not sure if this will bypass that, but seems like it should.
@@Mandalore777 True that! It’s unfortunate. Hopefully his key fob remote start feature bypasses it. For me, I had to have the enforum app active to have the key fob remote start feature.
@@Grey3IS also if you have a 2017 and I think a 2018 Canadian 3IS, you can't use Enform with it, no matter what. I found this out the hard way when I bought an imported 2017 IS300 AWD. Despite the Enform app thing and the fact that my car is stuck measuring temperature units in Celsius, I'm still in love with the car.
