    Hey man, just found your channel, I just got a 20'IS350 and was looking for recommendations for a rear wing. I don't like the universal ones on the market. Crazy idea but would an rcf wing fit on the car? I know they're motorized but just the wing itself I think would look cool

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Congrats on your purchase 🥳. There a many different styles of wings out there. I have the OEM one. I feel like it suits the curves of the car nicely. The AR style one is also nice and commonly purchased. I don’t think it’s possible to get a motorized one (like the RCF) onto our car, although that would be awesome! I recommend checking out eBay for a wing. Top End Motorsports is also a great site for authentic body kit pieces. I’ll link them below 🙂

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Thank you 🙂. If you’re running really aggressive fitment with these cars, you’ll probably need to mess with your bumper tabs. Like shaving the down, or bending them away. But if you’re just wanting to tuck your wheels, then you should be totally fine. I didn’t need to mess with rolling any fenders or modify any fender liners.

      @Grey3IS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! To me, it’s still fairly stiff. I have the fam owning set in the middle of stuff and soft. I think I’m going to turn it a couple notches towards soft even. Some people say it’s really soft, but I don’t think it is.

    • @ayy.mp4
      @ayy.mp4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you ride with high psi it’s stiff like cheap coils. You can adjust it like like that. Where he’s running 70psi I run 120psi.

    • @8th3IST
      @8th3IST ปีที่แล้ว +1

      120psi? That’s a monster truck. Why would you gets bags to basically run a lift kit. The damper knob controls stiff/soft of your ride not the PSI int the bags. Did I misunderstand you?

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@8th3IST You would only run that high of a psi if you needed to. And the more air in the bag, the stiffer the bag (air spring) is. And when a spring is stiff, even an air spring, then the ride is slightly stiffer. The dampening knob can help this though.

    Not sure if you still remember, did you have to modify any suspension components for clearance while airing out. I been hearing that I need to flip the sway bar end links because they hit the bag in the rears when airing out.

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don’t have to modify anything! The rears are specific for either side. There is a left and a right bracket. Also, it has to face a certain angle when installing (shown in the install guide). If it is hitting the sway bar, they were installed backwards.

      Thank you! I had 20mm in the front and 15mm in the rear originally. But I was hitting my front fender brackets when airing out with the 20mm in the front. So I took them off. So I currently have nothing in the front and 15mm in the rear. But soon I’m going to install 15mm in the front and possibly shave some of my CF fender bracket (that my tire was hitting) to make the tire fit up in there without hitting and have better fitment. What is better, coilovers or bags in terms of maintenance and reliability ? I’m a 41 year old with a kid and don’t really have time if something goes wrong or if I keep having to maintain somehow

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bags are pretty reliable, but coilovers will always be more reliable. With coilovers, after the install, there not much you need to do or could go wrong. With bags, more things could go wrong and there is more maintenance that needs to be done. However, you have some pros with bags; like being able to raise and lower the car. This allows for a lower ride height (because you can raise it when needed), better fitment when parked, and ease of access for most driveways. But in your case, it sounds like coilovers will be the best bet.

If you have any more questions about that stuff please let me know. And if I could do it over again, I really wouldn’t make any changes. Maybe make the trunk set up cooler, but that’s just cosmetic. And I wasn’t aware of my video cutting out. No one else mentioned this. Where exactly did it cut, if you wouldn’t mind sharing? And as long as it’s installed correctly, it’s fairly reliable. Those are 15mm or 20mm spacers? I think all 15mm

      Hello! With my superdowns I had 20mm in the front and 15mm in the rear. With the bags, I couldn’t air all the way out with that setup. So currently I have nothing in the front and 15mm in the rear.
