What’s the go with the ugly aerial? Does it pick up the iss??
The sand flag?
Hi Jeremy, why do airbags cause a snapped chasis?
Hey I got a non genuine clock spring off the net wouldn’t work had to buy a genuine one to get it to work now not too long down the track I’m having trouble with that clock sprig too any ideas on where to get one that’s works for my hilux please
Hey Luke, is it your horn not working that is the problem, cruise control not working or both??
@ first time was horn stereo abs now every time I turn right it sets an alarm off until centred or turned to the left
@@lukebrodie5811 out of all my years at Toyota never came across this.. Is there an aftermarket alarm on your hilux..?
Not that I know about and it’s a 15 n70 I ordered from Toyota but yeah also it makes the fuel filter light flash on the alarm going off fuel filter and fuel system is good checked just to be safe but all good

Found your channel a few days ago. Love it. 👍🏼
Great to hear you're enjoying the videos mate, thanks!
looks like the one from Biltema 🤔
Just found your channel, First time watching You's, UNREAL; Great Job & Well Done to you Bothe Subd = 👍🏼✊🏼😎
Thanks for watching and subscribing, it’s good to have you onboard!
Good to see a young couple out the bush giving it a crack but old patty should av fixed an keeped his landcruiser there's nothing as cheap as a jeep
Trading an 80 series for a Jeep with 20's, not the best life choice in my opinion.
They could make a show of you two coz your a couple of good eggs and a joy to watch. ❤
What it comes down to is you know what your doing n great video 💙👍
Cheers, thanks for watching mate
I bid you fair winds and the new year. I was struck at once by the red clay, abrasive and plentiful to any surface not protected. As for thee 4x4 unit, I recently saved a 98 Jeep Limited, leather seats with a bash to the drivers side. Repaired to my driveway with 53,446 original miles. No rust, no dirt. Sort of like near factory delivery. I think I would ship it to your shop as the perfect loaner unit. I can only imagine the end use as roaring about. But this curious low miles unit has...huge power and shifts to the range as effortless sand dune might, Truly, enjoy your post and recommend Max Grant, Swan Valley for breakage as the apparent norm to Au terrain. His locate is as Au very west as terrain. M.
Hi from guyra nsw, it's good to see a capable woman on the tools.
Cheers mate, thanks for watching.
🐿️
Correct me if I’m wrong, but did you install the Toyota Shock Absorber upside down on the Defender?
Hey, yeah we did, you've got to do these things when you are broken in the middle of nowhere.
Jobs well done keeping vehicles on the road move
What tyres do you see come through with the most out of the big brands, not the $5 Winruns on the Jeep.
Almost see all of them, but the most common breakages in the big brands are all terrain maxxis, bf Goodrich, coopers and falken. Most specifically its road tyres and all terrain tyres fail in the outback. Mud tyres the least problems out here.
Big rims and rubber bands for tyres dont go well off the pavement. Remember back in the day youd put a patch on a side wall and drive them till they were bald. Moder tyres obviously aren't as good as the price tag suggests. That rusty water lol, coolant is your friend
Yeah the big wheels and low profile tyres don’t make outback travel easy. We’re not fans of the “rubber band” tyres either.
This is awesome. I'm amazed how capable Isabelle is, it's shocking seeing her throw a wheel around like it's nothing. Please start a "hoist donation fund" so that your customers can help fund one, you deserve it!
She is pretty strong, isn't she! Thanks for the kind words.

AWESOME ....... Happy New Year
Hi Guys, have watched a few of your videos. Love how you address problems and fix things with minimum fuss, despite your isolation. Perhaps you could explain a bit about your parts supply logistics, consumables as well as replacement parts. Also, do you depend on generator power? how much fuel do you go through on the gennie? I have a brilliant local general parts supplier and they will bend over backwards chasing unusual parts. Also what is your water supply? Not being intrusive, I live on an offshore island in Moreton Bay southeast of Brisbane, with no shops or other support, apart from Woolies home deliveries. Obviously the mainland is easily within in reach via the vehicular ferries, but lately they have been a bit overwhelmed by the demand. Not a mechanic but have been tinkering with vehicles all my life (73yrs). Still don't have anything resembling a proper workshop, but spend a fair bit of time fixing my ex-hire diesel Kanga miniloader - man's best friend after a good dog. I have aspirations for a vehicle hoist on my property before I die so I can service my various vehicles (including WW2 jeep replica) before I die..!! Enough about me, I just appreciate how you fix the 4x4s that Toyota and Nissan never really expected to face the sort of conditions in outback Oz. Good luck and best wishes. Little tip i.got big beard pop riveted piece of leather on bottom of welding helmet also at top no more burns on bald head no more smoke and burns on beard Bloody oath rippa
Love te team work you guy's have.
Will you go back to Mt Dare? IF I was a bit younger Mt Dare would do me ......OR .... maybe a Grader operator on a remote station
The clean, lube, and tension. This is a no BS channel. Brilliant work
What you did and were able to achieve amazed me. I could almost drive to Mt Dare to get my 76 series serviced. Well done to you both and good fortune for the time ahead!
Thank you, mate, really appreciate the kind words. Glad you enjoyed watching. :)
really enjoying these vids guys.. you make a great team combo...
Hi Guys, a tremendous stint at Mt Dare, congratulations. just a quick question, when working on tyres, changing, repairing and patching etc.. do you balance them afterwards? Did not see a balancing machine in the shop.. Cheers. all the best on your next travelling adventures.
Hello, no balancing of the tyres. Just take the wheel weights off and they just get it done when they go into civilization. Not necessary to get them out of the outback. Cheers, thanks for watching. :)
You seem to have an Austailian accent
Good guess, we are indeed Australians
What country are you in?
Gidday from Brissy, always inspiring watching you two just sort whatever is thrown at you. As for old mate with the jeep, I’m a novice, however first thing I learnt about remote travel is use a 17” or 18” rim with a good quality tyre with a 65 or 70 sidewall profile.. Time for another adventure out in the bush soon I hope! Stay safe!
G'day from the Victorian High Country. You sort of have to fix or give a good to whatever is thrown at you if you're a mechanic in the outback, because they still need to drive 250kms of rough as outback to the Stuart Highway OR go on a recovery truck to the highway. Good to hear you got those tips from watching, 65-57 side wall is a good profile, and even a 16-inch rim is great if you can fit it. Hope you get out bush soon, thanks for watching. :)
Fantastic video guys keep em coming
Hi guys I just picked you up today from Shropshire England have fun 🐿️
Custom offroad sell upgraded bash plate mounts for the Triton
Used to carry 2 pair of different size small and large eye and eye turn buckles with some full thread bolts that could also fit in them so you can use them for pulling or pushing. With some shackles as well. And also a stair stringer threaded rod with washes and nuts to suit.
That's really interesting, what have you used this tool for? Thanks for sharing !
@@LapsofMaps Turn buckles been used to hold alternator in place on old F100 4x4 when the alloy bracket for adjusting the tension broke on the alternator. Had the alternator wrapped in wire and 2 turn buckles pulling from 2 different angles as I couldn't get a straight pull in the right direction. Exhaust bolt broke on bottom of manifold and used wire and a turn buckle to pull the pipe right back up to its right position it didn't even leak. Stair stringer threaded rod been used for a U bolt and cut one short for an engine mount bolt when I lost one ( Didn't put a new one in for about 6 months). Also for shoving through rabbits to put over the fire ;) I also used to carry a alloy 2 ton leaver winch. Small but handy.
Got onto you guys after you fixed the broken shock mount on my sisters Ultimate camper . Love what you two do 👍🤙
Yeah nice, thanks for watching Simon!
Awesome viewing. Thanks
Very entertaining guys, keep them coming.
Did the poootrols hide when the flex challenge happened???
Bloody serpintine belts. Great on a road car. Unreliable on a 4x4
Keep a spare and you'll be right haha!

Odd job videos are always great 👍
The outback does weird and wonderful things to cars, thanks for watching!
Anytime the inner of a tubeless tyres is ground /sanded , Don't forget inner liner Sealer after that patch repair or slow annoying leaks can happen.
It's been so cool to see what you guys get up to out there. Definitely learned a lot watching your videos.
Glad you enjoyed the videos, mate!
Real interesting videos, good job. However when working on the diesel generators "where is your ear protection"? Your still young and you need your hearing to listen to the customers or your lady partner. Just saying. All the best in new year from Canada.
There are hearing protection buds in there, but you're right it is VERY noisy in there. Thanks for watching Harold from Canada
