I just went down to my local honda dealer and into their parts department...just go to your local honda dealer and ask them for the parts department and they should have the part. Part number is in video.

honestly not sure what its for but if possible i would not leave off, pretty sure kia had a reason for it, might work for now but eventually might cause issues.

that is just for noise...its sound suppresion and you should be able to just slide back into place just as long as it covers that area...it helps keep the noise down, If you have it off and the small amount of extra noise does not bother you then not an issue to keep off.

yes that code can be used every time but every single key turns off it will have to be redone....i honestly do not know if theres a limit to how many times it can be used but i know in my case i used it about 40 to do video and test and get to shop so i dont believe theres a limit but i just would not use that as my fix forever.

I would try replacing the bulb one more time to see if you get the same result. Sometimes you just get a defective part....try replacing with the bulb from oposite side...If it goes on the fuse is still good and you got a bad bulb...

that is exactly what was happening to my honda, you will have to reset the immobilizer and reprogram the key to the ignition.

A good locksmith should be able to do pretty quick.

@JackofAllCarbinc shouldn't the key already be programed to that ignition, the switch came with that key.

@@dragonballnz Not from what i was told....since hondas have aan advanced anti theft immobilizer, the key and system needs to be programmed with the immobilizer....not 100 percent sure but pretty sure a locksmith can answer that and fix this issue...please let us know but pretty sure the new switch still has to get reprogrammed. That is what the green flashing key is telling you.

@@JackofAllCarbinc I should also note that it still locks and unlocks the doors with the remote buttons

Not one issue with them, I never put the honda letters but none of the ones i installed have given me any issues, driven 15000 miles with them and still look as good as they did when new. Thats why i went with factory not aftermarket...they are great quality, but granted kida expensive. Thank you for comment, glad it helped and made the video to show how easy it is and no need to pay a dealer.

If your ac is not working also try the ac motor under the glovebox that small motor/fan goes out as well on these cars.

Good question, so issue with mine was that the plug i wired was a straight plug. I actually had to redo the plug wire to get a side plug i.e. a plug that has the 3 prongs but the wire comes out at an angle not straight where it connects to the outlet. It was just due to where they had my electrical outlet placed on wall. Hope that's what you were referring to

Hi....Yes that is an option if you can get a mobile locksmith....Only reason i did not do that is due to cost. You can also just get towed or? but I made video for most people on a tight budget. A mobile locksmith would have upped th eprice 200 and towing it cost about 120. The brake code method can be used in an emergency or can give you a week or two to get the funds to fix problem if you just need to get car started to get to work or?

I had no issues removing it...even if it has threadlock a decent impact wrench will get them loose. I would not use the torch method unless its absolute last choice. Also might check your front shocks, i had a terrible metalic thumping sound coming from the front and thought it was the mounts but after replacing front coil overs it made it like new.

@JackofAllCarbinc i don't have an impact so if it does have locker, I'll take it to someone. Also it's almost as if you read my mind about them matalic noise, my suspension is also bad (crusty, it wasn't moving for a few months for unrelated reasons), it's something I'll have to do at a later point and is not directly what causes it to vibrate soo much as at the right gear and rpm it's smooth.

Hi you can bend bracket upwards or cut it to lenght

@JackofAllCarbinc I need to know if the controls that are on top of the door are supposed to be hidden when the door is closed. If so I will install it that way but I expected them to stick out so you could see it with the door closed. I haven't found anything how about this new fangled controls on top of door configuration.

Even a light user will have issues, these will not last more than 9 months without some form of problem, so sad ....I really like the product too.

I would have the locksmith reprogram your immobilizer and cut you a new key, if its intermittent the computer will rad no issue when its starting. Sadly its trial and error but if you already had the locksmith there i would just rekey and reprogram the immobilizer. Also checking fuses and relays but if you had an electrician do that next step i could think of would be that. Keep us updated if possible in case you find a diferent solution.

Hi the grey is not from the slat wall. its sleeves they sell separate. you can try and find at a local business display store and just ask for the sleeves that provide strength

Your welcome and your not the only one who had a hard time trying to figure it out. I too kept trying till i figured out and thats why i made video. As you can see by views there are tons of people that cant figure it out with their instructions given.
