    After reading the comments, I waited to post my response until I actually went through the entire process. Found the replacement part (not OEM but made in CHINA) for less then $10 on AMAZON. As a prime member, received the part in 2 days. Looks identical to the KIA part without the KIA markings. Followed the directions in the video precisely. I used the original grommet without trying the one that was included in with the replacement pump. Always a slight learning curve when you first do something like this, but really didn't take me too long and results are great! KUDOS to JACK OF ALL

      so glad it helped and best of all saved you around 150 compared to dealer cost for something anyone can do in a matter of minutes, worst part is dealer charges you to replace a defective part they install on vehicles. Not only that but they will put the same factory kia part on your vehicle so that you have same issues in a few years.

    I also just partially removed the wheel well cover and replaced it easily. My new pump came with a grommet but it didn’t sit properly so I used the old one. Zero leaks! Thanks so much!

      yes not sure why the grommet on some will fit but if not a quick swap to the original one is an easy fix.

    Great video! I just did mine by only partially removing the fender liner and worked through the small space. What I found was that when I put the new pump in, it was much easier to put the rubber seal in the tank and then insert the new pump into it rather than putting the seal over the nipple on the pump and pushing the whole assembly into the tank. I think that worked better for me because of the small space I had to work. All in all, a fairly easy job.

    • @JackofAllCarbinc
      @JackofAllCarbinc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      thanks for that tip ...hopefully helps others, i also think it depends on the manufacturer, i did notice that the new one fit better with the old gasket than the new one supplied but it all depends on the maker and the tolerances they use. either way hopefully that helps others if they run into issues, Job can be done just by removing a small portion of the fender cover I just had to remove mines all the way for another job i did.

    Great video and fix was a success. My crack was on the male hose connector. I should have read Mr Dunbar's comment below about partial wheel cover removal. On the 2016 at least, you can get away with removing the 3 screw snaps at the bottom front of the wheel well cover, one center front, and then pry back the cover for access. I took two extra ones out and then tried this method. Thanks so much!

    Very helpful video. I agree... just pull back a portion of the wheel well cover. Plenty of room. And definitely put the rubber gromet in the washer tank first then push on the new pump. I did have to reuse the old gromet because it was tighter. And the small hoses plugging into the pump may crack when pulling off. But you should have enough hose left to plug in to the pump if you cut out the cracked portion.

    Super easy to do...thanks so much for the video. However, mine is leaking near the grommet. I used the new one and then switched back to the old grommet. Still leaks. Any ideas? I'm not sure how make sure it is seated right..cuz it just clicks into place.
    I put the grommet in first and then pushed the pump in

    • @JackofAllCarbinc
      @JackofAllCarbinc  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      not sur on that but even if it looks like its leaking at grommet its usually due to the crack on pump just slowly leaking and appearing as if its the tank....I would just get a good look at tank and make sure there are no issues with it, then make sure the grommet is properly seated into pump and tank. let us know if you find the problem ...could help others out.

    This worked great but. Thankfully I didn’t have to take the wheel well cover off. I just removed a few of the screws and peeled it back enough to reach the pump. Removing the entire wheel well cover would have been quite challenging as the screws are VERY hard to reach.

    I think the position of the pump motor is different on the Sedona. I believe it faces the front. I will try removing the fender guard and putting in some epoxy over the crack. I heard someone else say that the off brand replacements tend to fail. And the OEM ones are about $50. Will let you know how it turns out.

    • @JackofAllCarbinc
      @JackofAllCarbinc  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would highly recommend against the oem. I ran into same issue with honda visors. As you can see by the demand of this video this OEM part has been failing not only on sorrentos but sedonas and others that are using this same part. The part is defective and kia will just sell you the same defective part that is cracking for top dollar, Honda had same issue with 06-10 sunvisors, I have bought 4 visors so far ...all oem and every single one has failed. Unless kia has switched manufacture (Which i doubt since they are getting a decent profit from selling this part or charging customers for replacement ) I would not spend the extra money for oem (only my two cents) i dont think the epoxy will work and if it does it would be a temp fix but thats just my opinion, i just hate fixing same issue over and over, If anyone else has issues with aftermarket pump please let us know but so far I have not had any problems with my pump.

      I replaced it from the wheel well. I couldn't do it from the undercover. I also removed the tire because I couldn't get in there well with it in place. There were lines in the way. I bought the about $10 one on Amazon. It had good reviews. I tested it and it was a little weak. It does the job as the wiper blades spread it well. I have the old one and I put the epoxy on the defect in case my wife isn't satisfied with the current replacement. The Amazon one required the lines to be REVERSED. The rubber fitting mine came with did not seem so tight so I used the original. I was forewarned in the comments so it was no big deal. Thank you for the video. It was a big help.

      Hi you might be mistaking the a/c or even drain for a leak, when you wash a car or if water gets near windshield it usually drains from the ports at the bottom, not sure why you would have water from windshield running thru their unless your sprayer nozzles or ruber lines connecting to them are torn.
