thank you, hopefully you gave a thumbsup to help get it out to more people, I tried figuring out an easy way to make sure no damage would be caused to paint and came up woth this, I didnt like the way other people used those plastic clips and screwdrivers to py off badges, Thanks for comment.
Great vid. i have done the same with my gen 10 Honda civic and replaced all the chrome badges with shinny black. It looks so much better. a lot of car manufacturers are doing this as standard now ( i think Audi and Volkswagen as well as land rover) its a pity a "black package" isn't an optional extra at a dealership when you either buy the car ( new or seconhand)or buy the package from the parts department. It would stop the flood of aftermarket nock offs on Ebay.
Also toyota...most emblems now standard black, I know i could have ordered it black and had dealer install but their mark up was crazy. I did next best thing and bought the genuine H Logos from local dealer and did myself ...I think it even comes out better since i took my time and made sure not to damage paint or anything around it compared to a honda mechanic who just wants to get to the next job. Anyway thank you for the comment.
Yep, I liked this dealer .....I paid 1000 less than msrp (most dealers wanted msrp plus all their add ons) including wheel locks mud flaps and no mark up. Dan the finance guy was really cool to, did not really try and force any extras(warranties/extra coverages/window etch blah blah )so final price out the door was 1000 minus msrp plus mandatory state fees. Only other dealer that compares would probably be the cerritos honda since they are the #1 on west coast so they want volume and can also get good deal their. Anyway thanks for comment and hopefully video helped you install your emblems on the cheap.
Thanks for the video. I was thinking about going the same route but I can't seem an OEM black touring emblem. Not sure if I want to buy the aftermarket stuff on Ebay.
Thanks for comment, I am really happy with my option, it makes it look cleaner and you can save some money, I dont like the ebay stuff either since alot of it is not high quality....same reason i stayed away from plastidip, .....looks good for a week but after a while looks very cheap.
Don't do ebay, get the OEM if possible. I did the cheap ebay logos (picture showed OEM emblems) decided to still install them and the rear started popping up after a day. I ordered the OEM and can notice a big difference in quality.
Finally found the badging swap video I've been looking for. Plastic bag trick is a nice touch.

Bro where can I buy black badges?
Any honda dealership or hondaparts online.
👍👌
glad it helped
The plastic bag technique, beautiful 🤩 works like a charm. Change my Honda Pilot 2024 rear H for the Type-R OEM.
poor man tools...lol better than paying for a plastic pry that could damage your car. Glad it helped.
