I just bought Full Auto 2 Battlelines for the ps3 hardware since I own a ps3 since 2013. I instantly picked it up and was a straight up non stop racing and vehicular combat fun. It’s a shame that the game had ended in 2007, but alas, the critics had mixed opinions on the the full auto series. Full Auto deserved better…

Man I genuinely just love watching your reviews, and this one is no exception. Personally, I don't even like monster trucks at all (their looks, their handling, the tracks, etc. etc.) but listening to you explaining the game bit by bit is engaging enough to watch the actual footage, and not just listen to it as a podcast in the 'background mode' while doing stuff. It takes a great skill for a content creator to make a review video that would appeal to not just a fan, but to a passerby as well (like me in the case of monster truck games), and you most certainly have this skill! Truly excellent work, thank you for your passionate videos!

I love this game. I use to play it all the time when i was a kid. I miss playing it, considered buying another ps2 just to play it again. I wish they would do a rework and re-release!

I don't understand how Grid 1 seems so popular. I hated that game because the controls were awful. Grid Legends is 9/10 and the other 2 games are not far behind. I never played Grid 2019 so i can't speak to that one.

Kinda reminds me of the hot wheels unleashed car physics.

The most annoying thing is how much better legends was than GT7. Absolutely disgraceful that Sony’s $$$ marketing budget made sure it got over shadowed never mind the paid rewards and giving reviewers an alternative build of GT7 for review..

I ever played Fatal Inertia Ex nearly every tuesday on my PS3. Fatal Inertia Ex feels like combination of WipEout 3 + Ridge Racer 1993.

5:02 Mattel was flexing thier brand deals with Marvel DC, and Looney Tunes. the devs just let Mattel get away with that, as Mattel didn't give the fans what they really wanted, that is, HW classics from Golden era hot wheels 90s-00s.

I go for gravel more than dirt 5, and you were right about dirt 5, having codemasters Cheshire to make dirt 5 was a huge complete blunder out of Codemasters, Cheshire was designed for making arcade racers.

rocket racing is now worse, you do backflips for just flying

There are codes for the PC port where if you name yourself C-HARD or C-EASY it will disable catchup or make the AI slower.

LA Rush is like a mix of Midnight Club Street Racing and NFS UNDERGROUND I.

this game altered my brain when I first saw it but I never got to finish it bc I played it on one of those local coinslot places that run ps2/x360 consoles back then.

Grid Autosport is Great! I play on the Switch I even loved Grid 2. Haven't played legends yet. Hope to see it come out on the Switch 2.

I tought it was some indie bullsh*t like the rest. I never in my life would thought for how long I missed this gem of a game. They made games like this on PS3 back than. Nice to see some good arcade racing game nowadays.

If you want Weaponized car combat, and at the fact there’s a game made in the unity engine, then you would try Burnin Rubber 5. Just a thought…

I am still flabbergasted how no game since the original Motorstom from 2007 managed to get that "offroad arcade racer" feeling quite right.

Every sequal had increasingly less features than the original GRID, which blows my mind...

Grid 1: Hit the perfect 'sweet spot' between arcade and sim to give itself its own identity. Grid 2: Should have been a completely different series. Like "Off The Grid" or something, using the more arcadey handling for Underground-Like illegal street racing, not for motorsports. Grid Autosport: What should have been Grid 2, but without taking away features of the first installment, also nudged too much towards the sim side, not being in the sweet spot anymore. G R I D: Bare bones game with actually good AI and gameplay.. but yeah.. bare bones.. something you'd play on Arcades. Grid Legends: Haven't played but... it looks as if they genetically modified it to be a Mobile Game..

I think Flatout2 has the best physics, I stil play it almost every day. But even the very First Need for speed game had better physics, than most of modern arcade racing games. For example I bought Need for Speed hot pursuit remastered on X-mas discount, played it only 2 times since. Looks very nice, put physics are not what i hoped for....

Genki has always done its own thing with the Shutoko Highway Battle and Tokyo Xtreme Racer games. Underground 2 copied their eacing style with the outrun races they had there. But I do think they have staying power. They just released a patch that fixed a lot of the issues players had with some of the Early Access stuff. From nerfing crazy hard bosses to QOL improvements. They're learning and listening to players and i think that mentality will see a change from some the bigger developers, especially seeing how much the simpler style and presentation works. Never understood why EA didnt attempt to make a similar game that's based on American highways. I'd love to be able to drive in a cut-down version the US and racing state-to-state in open-world rolling races against teams here. Even one based on Europe would do well. Hopefully the bigger developers see how Genki is successfully engaging their players and try to do something similar, but in their own way. There's a change on the horizon, and TXR is showing the way.

I see myself as both. A professional masochist who only wants to have fun, but knows their limits. Good thing I don't live, breathe, and snort games like its a drug.

Did I see and hear right? Are those licensed vehicles with good damage models ? Why is there no mod community ? 😂 streamlining and cut off unnecessary story and add some police and traffic logic- et voila- you have a good game ….maybe😂

They did what people wanted. A simple arcade resembling the golden age while keeping absolutely humble. Few cars, "just highways", no bombastic effects, no stupid slow motion jumps, no badly programmed police AI that are just a waste of time to deal with, and enough grind to push you to stick to the 2-3 cars you really like without trying to "sell the solution". A simple, effective racing game not promising the moon.
