I just noticed how bad the episode was. Like the first time i watched it (and the only time), I didn't think anything was wrong. Sure Satan looked like a dragon with no special features, but i was used to those edgy designs in the show. Honestly, it just annoyed me how scripted the courtroom was. An ice bird just keeps moaning about how stolas sucks and hires an assassin to fake up a story so the big boring dragon just pulls a "stfu who wants this mf dead cuz i am hungry" like bruh, that episode genuinely sucked. I've been in a delusion that the show was good. Now, I have to rewatch the whole show just to know if it sucked or not. Fun.

I agree with most of this video, but one thing I don't fully agree with is the interpretation of Andrealphus' plan. Maybe this is giving the writing too much credit, but I got the impression that Andrealphus framed Blitz for assaulting Stolas and stealing the grimoire to force Stolas into a confession. If Andrealphus accused Stolas outright there was a good chance of him not being able to prove it, the whole thing being swept under the rug, or, even if it did work, Andrealphus still coming out looking like a bad guy acting out of envy to the rest of their social circle. Accusing an imp, however, comes with much fewer risks. A goetia breaking the rules is a lot more likely to be swept under the rug than an imp committing crimes against royalty. So Andrealphus, by accusing Blitz instead of Stolas, can make sure the trial is taken seriously, look like the good guy who just cares about his brother in-law, and can rest assured knowing Stolas will confess to his own crimes anyways to save Blitz. By accusing Blitz instead of Stolas, Andrealphus basically makes himself look good, takes away all of Stolas' options to defend himself, and forces a confession. It removes most of the risk from the situation.

I think of an alternative, instead of blitzo they are going to execute it, because of the book. They will take away the office, where IMP works. There would be consequences for using a Goethia book. And stolas, well, how would it be... I don't know.

You didn't have to recap the entire series. It didn't really add to the point you were trying to make. It kinda took away from it.

Not extremely related but I miss Blitz’s more lizard like/ snakey faces and head shape. He’s way flatter now. The pilot had him quite pointy and he’s slowly gotten flatter every episode since and he’s lost his sorta reptile-like expressions and movements I feel

I agree with nothing burger satan, even though in book of revelation, satan was describe as a red dragon but just an anthropomorphic red dragon? Satan from antomblast has a better personality and design than this generic furry.

You're not the only one who's brought this up, and how stupid Addy acts during this. The only thing I liked about this episode was the song 'Mastermind'. This is otherwise the worst episode ever because there's a lot that's just wrong or missing here to make any of this court scene make sense.

My biggest non-nitpick is that Blitzø and Stolas never get a real, cool headed conversation about their faults. Stolas never apologizes for trapping Blitzø in a transactional relationship, emotionally manipulating him, disrespecting his boundaries, and making their relationship only sexual then dumping emotions on him, and Blitzø never apologizes for stealing. Their problem was a lack of communication, and they get together without communication because this show has better things to do apparently.

Not only that, Stolas could easly not only save blitz but also stay rich. He could do something like hey! There are no proofs about anything in here, just testimonies. The assasin? Bro his employees saved me from that cowboy, why would he send me a hitman if he's gonna rescue me anyways?

I don't know why people are still confused by this concept in the show. Angel is stuck in a repeating cycle of a sex trafficking demon while sir pentious is unfortunatly raped like one time. I now one time is still bad but the point of the show is to show a situation for Angel thats clearly worse than Pentious. Like sorry but they're in hell so fucked up shit is going to happen at one point but Angel's is uniquely different.

Everything this series does is secretly shit, it's a guilty pleasure. Videos like this are kinda funny tho, "You may like this episode, but it secretly sucks and ur opinion is wrong". The title could use some rephrasing XD. Also, I think Satan is one of the good designs. Most other designs have the exact same silhouette and look like twinks. It's like this: There are characters designed for the show, e.g. Mammon and Satan, and then there are characters the show was designed for e.g. Beelzebub, Stolas, and Asmodeus that look like OCs. Their designs don't have anything to do with their sin or role, they're just quirky characters Vivzie wanted to be in a show. Like, what about Beelzebub says gluttony? Nothing. In this sense Satan is an effective design, the spiky horns, the dragon-look, the muscles, and tattoos can all be tied to wrath in some sense, at least indirectly. Same for Mammon who's quite round like the greedy rich people from cartoons, and then there are the dollar signs. You're right that he acted strange in the court scene, but the writing of that entire section was just bad. It was just cool to look at and listen to.

I feel like it would be so easy to iron out the kinks in this episode it is frustrating that I can't like, walk into the studio an be like "Alright gang Take Two!"

One friend described his thoughts about show's range of possibilities to have more redeeming episodes and qualities,when we watched HB with a group, pasting old joke from Game Grumps: Viv:And then i fired an idea(Moxxie development) and i missed(No build-up making it insignificant and non existent from episode to episode),then i fired another idea(Development of other characters and spread focus)and i missed again.(Sidelined to Stolitz) Then i fired again(Fiz episodes which actually decent at least) and i missed(Still controversial story-wise but it happened so fast making it unsatisfying),then i fired again(Villains/Antagonists in general) and i missed(Cartoonish level of evil,flat for observation),then fired again(Stolas development?) and i missed again(He ended up being most controversial due to writers favouritism and complete pull of focus to him like MC),i missed both times.(Which ended up making entire show surrounded by this ship with baggage of logical/ethical/philosophical errors making him a worst asshole if you think about it too deeply,but writers still pulling audiences ears making him likable only for fans of this character) That went for an entire season. Then i had another idea (Combat scenes and rivalry in general) and it missed... I missed again.(Logic goes out of window,where main group didn't killed main antagonists because... because...Forced Conflict 101)Then i ran out of creativity,then i got sad. Argued on twitter and blocked five thousand people. Then i got back up and made another idea(Episodes... For... ANY characters,BUT Stolas and Blitz) and i missed.(Get sidelined idiot) Then i got another idea(Episodes focusing on anyone,than Stolitz)and i hit something! But it wasn't i was going for(Sidelined for Stolitz anyway) so i guess i missed.(I don't want to shit on the show, because it becomes a complete beatdown between both camps. I just want at least laugh off shows flaws in this joke manner,that i had high hopes on it)

They took Satan, the ultimate villain, and made him the lamest antihero ever. This was damned from the start. The devil is not misunderstood. And heaven was blasphemed. I'm glad more animation fans are rejecting these shows.

There are more than 3 disassembly drones. Since one of the main said “we’ll make top team this quarter for sure” that implies that there are more, and in episode 6 or 7 we see disassembly drone corpses.

Blitzo reciprocating Stolas' affection felt insanely forced especially given how he handled Stolas' confession in Full Moon.... there's no setup, no buildup. They never mentioned what happened at Ozzy's. So many many wasted opportunities.

Everyone talks about how stupid Andrealphus' plan was, or that Asmodeus did fuck all, but my question is why I.M.P. didn't just escape using the Asmodean crystal at the beginning.

I personally like both HH and HB and I agree. I don’t approve of Vivzipop’s approach to writing sensitive topics though and I agree definitely agree with you and I really hope that she improves. (I know she probably won’t due to her track record but one can at least hop to see improvement)

I also hate that Ice boy gets owl boys powers as ice boy isn't even close to stolas in ranking.

Honestly I think this episode would’ve been a lot better if like, the hell police just didn’t know what imp looked like and accidentally brought in the interns instead, letting imp get away and officially going on the run (maybe even escaping into the human world), the interns get all the way to trial before andrelaphus (???? Idk if I spelled that right, I’m gonna call him Andy) is like “those are the wrong imps!!” And everyone is like “they are?? Can’t tell them apart lmao” and then there’s a crazy manhunt for imp while stolas has to desperately try to get an audience with satan and explain the situation but everyone is giving him the proper runaround and he’s basically getting nowhere I do love satan having a therapist though, that’s hilarious to me so maybe instead of being a corrupt judge he’s committed to being the very best judge, and because his wrath was clouding his judgement he got a therapist, maybe he lets his wrath out in his style of punishment, instead of a traditional execution he has the person ripped apart by hell hounds or something equally graphic, this is hell after all
