Brilliant video Nick, I found myself nodding along and agreeing with everything you said. I’ve started trying to pick up Cramps vinyl, but finding it quite difficult. I’ve got Off The Bone on cd, and love it. Amazing you picked up a vinyl copy with the goggles! That’s excellent about the Stranglers single to go with the album, another great find. I remember Mike speaking about the Anju Huwe album, that looks good. So much great stuff in this video! Keep up the great work Nick! Mike

Mate feels like an age since I've seen you onscreen. Vindaloo Summer Special. What a great title. Off The Bone is certainly something to be stoked about! I knew there would have to be some of the Numanoid in there 👍I got the Dance Craze bluray. It's bloody brilliant. That Ian Dury box looks nice. Jeez I couldn't leave a box set unopened. Great summer tag video Nick. It's a perfect leisurely watch for me on a Monday Awesome your "whack a mole" was a British Motown collection! Had no idea it was a series of albums. Great call about The Christians. The group and album are really under-rated for the reasons you mentioned. I got my copy at a charity shop for £1! Some great box sets you have there. I found the War of the Worlds album at a charity shop for £2. It's really a wonderful listen and I absolutely adore the cover art and gatefold I didn't know it came as a box set. Interesting back story about that Alien soundtrack. Will check out that documentary on 2-tone too. And so unbelievable that find with that Stranglers' white 45 of "Walk on By" at a charity shop. I do believe some of these things are meant to be. Someone was smiling down on you that day. 🙂 I have a lot of catching up to do. I have always admired your no-nonsense approach ....keep it going. Hi Nick. I've never seen that Stiff comp. One of the first singles on Stiff was supposed to be by Motorhead, but it never got released at the time. It did eventually get included in a box set of Stiff's first 10 singles. I've no idea why 'No Class' was included on 'The Last Compilation'. Maybe Stiff had the rights to release it in the US? And maybe the same applies to acts like Dexys and the Cure? ... The first album by Blondie for a fiver is a steal ... 'The Ska's The Limit' has a median price of £41 on Discogs.

I wonder iof that stiff Album the artists involved were who they were signed to in the States, Might have been a different label in the UK. I dunno for sure. I've discovered a lot of artists being on Trojan. They seemed to have signed quite a lot of bands during the 70's and 80's. Some Great singles too. Love that muppet record! I might see if i can find the Sesame Street Record I had as a kid online. Came with a book and everything. Love the Thunderbirds record and that Blakes 7 record is awesome. Never new that got released, Really good showcase Nick.

Nice bunch of 45s as usual Nick. I remember Blake's 7. BBC made it on the cheap but it was a lot of fun. I used to reply like the villain Servalan. That Stiff compilation is a bit odd. The Cure and Cockney Rejects were never on Stiff but they did have early singles on Small Wonder Records. Motorhead did have one single on Stiff called White Line Fever. But it looks like a decent compilation. Hope you're feeling better than you did last Thursday. Cheers Mike

The last bloke I saw wearing the classic knotted hanky was Steve Jones of the Pistols. I remember buying O Superman when it came out. Surprising that it was such a big hit. Toyah is great - a bit of a national institution.

Ooh, I haven’t heard that Edie Brickell tune in years. Very nice. And you can’t beat Kirstie Maccoll. She had a fantastic voice, great songwriter too. The sun’s out, Nick, and the car boots are chocka. Love it!

You know it’s funny? It doesn’t matter how many people say they love nasty by The Damned (whether or not they are fans of “that” certain classic tv comedy!) When it comes to the band themselves, they never include it on any best of compilations they make (apart from 1987’s the light at the end of the tunnel), and almost never play it live anymore in recent times! Having said that I haven’s seen them live since 2015 so what do I know?? I still think they under appreciate the song as a band though!!!!

Didn't know about Corby being known as ' Little Scotland' Nick, I live and learn..Always looking for a nice OG copy of Dance Craze, surely one of the best comps ever?..Slade had , what 6 no 1 UK singles.?..Great fun glam band, always hugely enjoyable. Dare! is a stone cold 80s classic, at a time in the 80s when pop music was still vital and creative. Harris always puts an interesting spin on music and has great opinions...
