    Awesome pack! Thank you for these patterns and videos. I will be diving in. You may want to consider flat binding your mesh pocket on the visible face. It is arguably a cleaner finish than having the internal bind in the pocket visible through the mesh.

    Pattern Needed: Hip Belt Pockets with wide loops to go over the padded part of a hip belt. NOBODY makes these large enough, so they cannot be bought, at any price, AFAIK. 1-2 liters are the largest I see, anywhere. What we need is something similar to a fanny pack, but with loops instead of a belt. Ideally 2-5 liters.

    Love the tip for pre-bending the zipper by pulling the thread by hand. I’ve seen that done on a commercial bag but couldn’t figure out how to do it with my machine… so clever and simple! On another note, is a walking foot better for binding? Does it make the process easier and does it give a better finish?

    Does the pattern have sizing/modifications for both men's and women's shorts, if there is even a difference in the Patagonia Baggies, other than color options? 😂🤷🏻

      @@BASEmonkey it’s a men’s block with size range that covers smaller sizes for women. Lots of women have made of their body shape fits the measurement table. They are basic elastic waist shorts so not a lot of variability needed.

      sure just don't push the limits. bent or broken needles or motor strain are signs you're trying to sew materials too heavy for the machine.

    Thank you for the detailed backpack its exactly what I am looking for. if I wanted to make a crossbody, could I adjust the strap to go one corner to the other opposite corner, would that work?

      I imagine so and since the straps are removable you can give yourself options. You may want to consider designing a pretty wide strap to distribute weight on one shoulder. It’s a pretty big backpack and may get heavy.

      @@joysullivan9031 because of the curves I don’t recommend shrinking by scale. To make less volume, you may covered modding the perimeter panels to make the pack less deep.

      It’s a right angle raw edge (single fold) binder combo set specific to the Juki 1181n. I think I bought at Cutex Sewing or random source off EBay.

    hey tim from learn myog, i've just completed these shorts, and while they look great, they don't fit very well, due to the fact that i have an absolutely humungous schlong. i mean, it's positively gargantuan. each nut has it's own gravitational field. the tip of my dong is 7 time zones into the future. i have witnessed an entire alien race with advanced warp drive starships rise and fall before they could travel from one end of my wang to the other. my colossal johnson is the lever that archimedes spoke of when he said that he could move the earth with a big enough lever. the bbc sued me for copyright infringement. anyways, you get the point. what changes should i make so that lugging around my monstrous erection becomes more comfortable?

    Thought about construction, is there a reason you couldn't build the outside, stitch the collar on, tuck the collar around the outside of the body, insert the finished liner, stitch it on and then bind that inside seam with grosgrain? I guess it might be a little bit bulky inside, but that would work right? I'm thinking about making one without a collar as well and that seemed like the most obvious way to construct it.

      Yes it could. Most people put the seam on the outside of the bag not inside. So the collar can easily fold into the bag.

    Inserting the zipper into the top panel seems to be the most confusing part. I wish you would make a more in depth video (without the video cuts) showing the steps. I’ve watched your other videos but I’m still struggling and wasting zippers and fabric left and right. Thanks.

    Same thing for 2.5D corners? I have one loooooong piece so instead of 3 pieces, it’ll be 2. I snip about 1/3” so it emulates 3 pieces though.
