Are you OK? Miss your videos.
I'm good... I will try to get a video out soon.. Appreciate ya checking on me..
Yeah Rand McNally has had that issue for years and never fixed it. They're cheap designs
Were waiting for the holiday special!
I will work on that...lol Looking for a new job at the moment.
The Power of Big Tech! I think Big Tech Companies can get away with almost anything.
Thank youuuuuuu ! I just started a new company that doesn’t allow you to idle and this is my first time driving a truck with a APU and you helped me out a lot I truly appreciate it !
whenever im coming up to inspect a piece of equipment that is new or that im unfamiliar with im very slow and tedious to examine exactly where all the parts and pieces fit together and how everything is designed to operate. that way unexpected functions don't surprise me on the fly. this after i accidentally burnt a trailer up because i didnt understand how sensitive a johnson bar trailer brake near the steering wheel was...
when my truck beeps and flashes lights at me for no apparent reason i get so scared i almost crash.
Anyone know how to bypass the 10 hour shut off for the heater? My set up is exactly the same as shown here in this video. Would like to have my heater run while I’m out of the truck for two days so my stuff don’t freeze as well. Thanks.
Good video! What song is at the end?
Thanks bro
My TND 550 and my friends both did the same thing in the last 2 week's. I wonder if some update screwed it up. I tried new fuses, new battery and different cords. Nothing helped
trucking is worse than being a street hooker now
Been having the same exact problems. As soon as I get a little under half on fuel it will start saying it’s empty! I’ve had my screen freeze up completely twice now.
When you're ready to work for a company that doesn't have all that safety crap on the trucks let me know. We're based out of Ohio they pay 63 cents a mile with no Hazmat add 66 cents a mile if you have Hazmat and we hardly haul Hazmat
My buddy sent me a picture in the new Freightliner don't even have are knobs for the brakes. They are buttons. Freaking buttons
yard jockey sounds better than company guy in a truck in a few years,
fifth gen sounds like too much to deal with,
a man has to know how to drive , be a lawyer and deal with the BULLSHEEEEET
im at home waiting to see if i have to explain a hard brake to stop at a red light, i think everyone hard brakes sooner ar later to not run a red light i was empty
I had to rewind after the cow sound to see if it was your video or outside. Theres alot of cow haulers around ( ft morgan co)
Dude, your like a normal person with a sense of humor. Rare in trucking today.
I think normal would be a stretch...lol I appreciate the positive input!!
Yup! burt renolds meets snowman for a drink, bruh! more education with advice then a library on the scenic route! more help than a bucket of thumbs & elbows!💤😁
10/4 Rubber Ducky...
Can someone answer me this question what happened to the American truck driver. Where it was just you and the truck and your cb. Where you actually had to pay attention to your surroundings in front behind and both sides of you.
Most companies don't want to pay for quality drivers. All about greed....
What company are you working with now? I’m still looking for a good company to run for.
Unfortunately I can't disclose that at this point. I wish I could because I think some people would like it at this company and they need drivers. But, the TH-cam trolls cause me issues with there stupid stuff.
@ it’s a shame that some people ruin it for everyone but I totally get it. Thanks for sharing your journey anyway, I enjoy your videos!
I might be disclosing the company soon. I gotta speak with the boss man and see what he thinks. In the past I had people annoying the company with silly stuff trying to get me in trouble. Some people suck...
@ it sounds like a pretty good company, I’d definitely be interested in getting more info. I’m pretty much living OTR right now so I’m looking for a company that can keep me rolling and pays decently. I don’t know if there’s a good way to get my contact info to you to pass on to the boss but I’ll keep tuning in.
Are you based out of Michigan? I am not 100 percent sure but I think they want all trucks parked at the yard when you are on off time.
Great video! They putting all this bs on the truck to get to full autonomy!
Yeah, they are trying. With the way this stuff works I can safely say full automation won't be happening anytime soon.
Excellent video, I love your content.
I appreciate that!!
Hmmm, I prefer Volvos. Why don't you like Volvos? Or, I used too. Haven't been in one in awhile. Company I work for now has freight shakers. 😡
I don't hate Volvos, they are solid reliable trucks and the sleeper on the VNL is big enough. For me it is just they way I sit while driving. I am from the old school and I like to ride low with my beady little head barely sticking up over the dash. The driver seat sits up to high and the steering wheel is in a weird spot.
@@truckertrashdustin Ahh, 10 - 4. That's funny, because I liked to sit high. I say "liked" because I can't sit like that anymore. It was causing pressure on my thighs and causing my legs to swell up. Was glad I figured that out. Now, I drive with my feet 'firmly' planted on the floor. No biggie, I got used to it.
Sounds to me like you had worm job as a mechanic.
You will be walking your dog where trucker's throw their dookie. Normally you don't walk on the grass at truck stops because you know it's loaded with shit. Truck is no place for a dog or some dummy that can suck a golf ball through a foot long garden hose.
route 30 in indiana is fuccin ridiculous
Yeah, that is definitely one of those goofy routes.
Hey Dustin, a diesel mechanic friend tells me he always keeps a sheet of rubber or something to stuff into the air intake if possible in case of a runaway
That would be one way to do it. Probably better on the truck than popping the clutch. Or if its a automatic.
Good vedio always entertaining!
Thank You.. I appreciate the positive feedback.
lose lips sinks ships dustin
Yep... And lose wires start truck fires..😁
A little sabbath in the intro. Hadn’t heard that in ages.

The Yellow Brick Road leads to the Emerald City, but you'll have to use a submarine not a hot air balloon...... Elon is autistic, but I bet he wishes he was a robot.... it would solve that pesky sleeping problem.....
Mine just picks bad routes that are way out of the way. In Amarillo it had me getting off and getting back on the loop
Right!!!! Routes you the long way and tells you to get off the highway and get right back on.
@@truckertrashdustin I try to check out it's rt against an atlas. Today going from burley id to new ulm mn. I shoulda gone 84 to 15 to 90. I followed gps 20, 87,287 etc on some 2 lane roads and got some snow. I did have a moose cross in front, pretty cool. But in heavier snow it would've suuucked.
@georgeperkins4171 I feel ya man... I just got on Hwy 36 in Missouri and I should have went to 70. I didn't realize that the next Pilot is 274 miles. I need fuel before that... Dammit..
RMcNy gps is pos I have older model 2 years old and nothing but problems , no map updates no map replacements it sucks
🤯
HS! what a how to do it! yea! thanks bruh! helpful! smooth roo roo sailing!
Also what i have seen multiple times on multille models..... ALWAYS run your screens brightness at or below half and on long stretches before a turn just turn the screen off. Also unplug and re plug the mount often. Keep contacts clean. The brightness is the moat important. These will stop keeping up so if the screen is bright it will always struggle to even keep it on and wont charge it.
Good information..👍 I never had any problems with all my past GPS units. Seems to be working well now.
Texas flies looking for a cow patty
Yankee Flys...lol
So it's not the Indian driver fault? It was WHITE liberal fault
You're gonna find out how wrong you are... Just like what happened in Trump's 1st Trucking bloodbath you will experience the 2nd caused by his tariffs. What you are seeing right now is companies saying oh shit, we have to stock up NOW before new tariffs hit. Companies are mass buying to stock up in anticipation of massive price spikes and future shortages. I;m going to guess 90% of you guys were not in business 7 years ago during Trump's 1st presidency because the average freight rate was like $1.60/mile... It's the exact thing that happened in 2018 before Trump's tariffs took full effect. (it took longer Trump's 1st term because was his first time, this time will happen faster) What then happened late 2018-early 2019 was the worst bloodbath in US tucking history. Over 800 trucking companies went bankrupt and no it wasn't because of COVID 19.. That came later. Right now you will see a massive influx of shipments as companies that can stock up now. Once the traiffs hit, trucking will hit a brick wall because everyone will be loaded up with excess inventory and prices will spike new inventory so all the buying will stop. This means "no freight". Those companies will also see slowing sales because everything is 50-100% more expense so no-one buys anything meaning even when the companies start ordering again they will not order at normal volume but rather the bare minimum. This is exactly what happened in Trump's first presidency. Trucking was good for a year or so then 800 companies went out of business just like that including companies with 2,000-4,000 trucks on the road. At the same time China retaliated and stopped buying farm goods from US farmers, this not only destroyed farmers incomes it also killed freight even more because farmers weren't shipping anything. Farmers were paid by Trump not to plant fields. You know the best part? Trump bailed out the famers will billions of US tax dollars , paid them to not plant fields then he just let trucking companies go bankrupt. Even later during coivd bail outs, Trump left Truckers out to hang. He literally gave every single sub industry in the "transportation" industry special bail outs EXCEPT truckers. Limo companies got special bail outs, bus companies got special bail outs, private jet companies got bail out, airlines. Cruise lines and maritime shipping, train freight, even cab companies got special bailouts, but not truckers... Fools were doing .60-.80/mile loads under Trump's tariffs just to make their truck payments... You new comers are in for a rude awaking...better save as much as you can the next several months while it's still good and don't buy anything new... If you don't believe me just search google for the "2019 trucking bloodbath" you guys don't even know how screwed you are. The only benefit you'll see if you have cashed saved, you will be able to buy a truck dirt cheap.. but don't get suckered into buying right now because the prices will temporally spike while freight turns good. You'll want to buy say 8 months to a year into the new tariffs when other truckers are going bankrupt and bigger MEGAs start off loading excess trucks.
if the recession is over id be happy to get 10 cent a mile raise and stay doing my company job , am i dum ?
Sounds good to me..
WTF are you talking about? The 2008 recession?
Yeah, the 2008 recession has ended...lol
Common buddy this is not a normal trucking market. Maybe for company drivers but not for small carriers.
It is starting to normalize. I am a company driver and things are getting better for me.
Awesome stuff. I look forward to hearing more soon.
japan also has roads with hot water hoses running through them so the road doesn't freeze. they are also a homogeneous society.
Holland Michigan has the hot water in the streets also... It's interesting for sure...
