If we could go back to using only atlas and a notebook for navigation and a payphone for communication we would instantly loose evey one of these new no english speaking drivers. I'm working on getting my hazmats and tanker endorsements for a local cdl job
@@truckertrashdustin yes sir it pays about as same as OTR and home every day. Almost 24 years of OTR and I can't do it any more, it ain't like it was before.
This is Hank trucker. I'm on my sailing channel here. One day I'll actually put up a video anyway over on trucker Hank's channel. I'm getting ready to put out a video about my local job that I took about 7 months ago. I'm an Eastern North Carolina and I'm hauling sod on a flatbed with a piggyback forklift. It's not that bad. They pay 30 bucks an hour. Of course they don't give you overtime. Work about 50 55 hours a week. Monday through Friday. Start very early in the morning. You usually home by noon 1 or 2:00 in the afternoon at the latest off on Saturday and Sunday except the occasional one Saturday a month. But some months you don't even have to do that. It's not bad. It's consistent money but other truck drivers like me work there that used to be over the road truck drivers and just like you're talking about other truck drivers are the problem. There's some really snotty nosed kids that work here and there's some all right guys to work here. But I'll tell you the ones that are the complainers or the troublemakers are a pita. Anyway, I'll be putting a video out about the job showing people how we load and unload if anybody wants to come over here and they live in Eastern North Carolina. It's also some spots in Tennessee, South Carolina and other parts of North Carolina and even a little bit in Northern Georgia. So look for that video. If you want to over on trucker Hank's channel it'll be coming out in about 10 days. This is my first time watching this channel and I've subbed cuz this guy is actually making me laugh
I saw the title and then it's 50 minutes long.... It's like this guy makes a feature length video. Right now he is talking about Detroit.... He doesn't know this .... Blanks in the hood ain't changed....
@@SHAWN_4L what you are saying does not make sense. Here, so you lease a truck from prime and run it for prime. Like a 36 or 40 month lease. When the lease ends you still have to buy the truck from the leasing company....just look at how a car lease works. It's the same for a semi. Lease means payment for use.
I agree with the backwards parking. But i heard some guy on the radio talking about anti-theft tactics for trucks. He suggested parking nose-in so your cargo doors are facing out. Saying that theives will be less likely to fk with it. But i haul dairy still, no worries.
Thanks for the videos friend. Trucker Hank''s out here: Crashing the gate at 98 bringing up the back door. Showering down on it. Got the pedal to the metal. Come on
The insurance guy gets a small piece every time you renew (or anybody renews). People that have a big book of business have it pretty well $$$. Probably the best company to be an agent for is State Farm. I used to do it, but not for State Farm. The market is oversaturated. That's why you get bomarded with offers
On my first day hauling mail for a contractor in Seattle 2018, I noticed the trailers were locking up. I was headed up to Bellingham Washington from Seattle on the way back. I'm empty. I get pulled into the inspection station. Of course the way station's open. I'm thinking no problem. I'm empty. I'll get the pass. I'm in a lease truck but I'm in an old crappy 53 foot trailer and of course they told me in for a full inspection and I get red tagged trailer brakes on my first day with this company. No, when I noticed the trailer brakes were locking up when I left the facility I wanted to say no it's not roadworthy but I was trying to do the right thing and I thought what are the odds of me getting inspected. Oh by the way this is trucker. Hank from Hank trucker channel. It's just happens to me by dream channel in one day. Sailing on both. Have a nice day

I made the car insurance mistake of using a clearinghouse. 15 seconds after hitting "enter" the calls started flooding in and it went on for weeks.
I nose in all the time. As long as its rasy back out
If i can back in i can back out.
If i can pull in i can back out
Your nonsense always makes a lot of sense ❤
Maybe to much sense for some people.
I keep losing subscribers....

Yeah well, then they can get out here and nose in the truck if they want to protect the cargo. Listening to the peanut gallery.

It’s crazy how otr van pay keeps dropping. Otr is the hardest version of trucking and should pay a premium.
Right...
To many drivers willing to work for low wages...
Hopefully it will balance out soon...
