You’re missing the time when most Forge World kits came with a tonne of bubbles, miscasts, and warped parts, and when you called in about it, FW simply told you to ‘deal with it’. All that well still being priced much above the equivalent plastic. I think most of the Titan kits are still that way.

I've magnetized a number of my Ork models, mostly just on models that I'm only ever going to have a couple of and/or it's way easier(and cheaper) to just be able to swap weapons for instead of having an individual model for each loadout. Only models I regret magnetizing so far is a five man squad of Lootas/Burna Boyz, and that's mostly down to how I magnetized them.

Magnetised my mighty guard titan (A single Sentinel), great fun only glued my fingers together twice. Already got 2 more coming to do it again

I love to use the 110% of the GW product I buy, I magnetized all the pieces and weapons (and faces) of the Novitiates Kill Team box, used the sprues and the literal box for terrain. Very productive days ❤

For the Castigator, you can also magnetize the ammo box to the body. I used an 8x3 mm on the inside of the body and a 3x1 on the inside of the box. I think it works better than trying to magnetize it at the connection point. Also, if you want to be lazy and don't want to think about magnet sizes, 8x3 works for any waist/arm connection from armigers to cerasti. Although you can't perfectly hide them in the armigers, it still works because the connection point is already ~8mm in diameter, so it won't look out of place.

Magnetizing models like infantry are amazing because you can magnetize them to movement trays and make storage a million times easier

magnetising the armigers is really helpfull to your wallet. Until you get 6 of each. As for the bigger knights, thank you for this guide. I will use it in the future.

For anyone thinking about buying the knight box for christmas, be careful the knight in the combo box is hella weird, you can only build it as a paladin or an errant, witouht any turrets on top

I hear that argument quite often about not being able to find players. Which, for some people might be the truth, but I still find strange. I live in redneckville, Kentucky. I'm surrounded by pokemon and Magic The Gathering players, and yet we have a weekly game with more than 6 to 8 players every weekend. It took me and another player only about a month to get rolling. All we did was set up our mechs, a map, and played in the local hobby store. Hell, the store doesn't even sell BattleTech stuff. These stories make it sound like we're just lucky. Or maybe its we care about the BattleTech and put ourselves out there for other people to see what Big Stoppy Robots is all about. O and p.s. anyone who complains about the math in battle tech, you must never pass the fourth grade.It's only adding and subtracting.

If I had a massive house I would set up a diorama with some limited cityscape and train/s. Which I would also put Godzilla in and have some warships nearby. I don't have any trains but I do have about 16 other wallet burning hobbies... and that is part of why I don't own a house. Lesser part than the fact that the small place I was looking at went up by about 50% between when I started getting my loan and when I could go for it.

Maybe you also want to point out that Battletech had only...maybe 3-4 Rulebooks-Editions in its 40 years of existance? So when you are tired of getting new rules constantly Battletech has been very stable. I have a rulebook that is about 20 years old and I think has 1-3 rules that have changed in it? Okay they added more and more optional rules but as the name says, they are optional. Also just want to note that if you play classic, its like a simulator and thanks to a lot of optional rules you can increase or decrease the complexity as you like.

At this point, only a full big knight army will be affordable

Following and playing Battletech since 1984. Dabbled in W40K from 2000 to 2020. Battletech is not an underdog. It is played in just as many venues as 40K. Loving Alpha Strike.

The stories between how you and I got into Battletech are so similar it’s scary. Same video game, same pamphlet, same hobby store, same Dark Ages board game, same newfound love later in life. You’re freakin me out, man.
