I'll give it a go, here's my hot take (if it is at all): 1. For Gears of War 4 and 5, the dialogue/banter was the one truly BAD thing with the campaigns. With less "Marvel-like" comedy and non-stop jokes, the main trio could have had better chemistry, uniqueness, and charm. Which in turn would have made players like them more and focus on the great stories and environments the games gave us! Everything else about the campaigns were either good, great, or fantastic.

Unless you're playing solo. Then Sires are the absolute worst, because you're pretty much screwed.

Some recent modding and code digging showed that there were plans to create a OG horde mode in Gears 5. With there being semi functional AI and models for the Locust Grinder, Mauler, Butcher, Boomer, Wretch, Wild Ticker, and Berserker! All hidden within the code of Gears 5!

Here are my hot takes... Gears of war multiplayer maps are lame - Every gears map has always been symmetrical with cover scattered here and there and just boring and repetitive. The one thing judgement did great was having unique maps with very creative layouts. In judgment you had objects on the map that you could use to your advantage like a gondola for example, which could be used to get across the map much faster. I've always wanted to see a gears map with ramps that you could slide down while shooting enemies ahead of you or a zipline that you could swing from while shooting enemies below you with your pistol (sort of like that one gears 3 mission with Baird and Cole). I love to see maps where environments actually do something when you interact with them in some way like on the thrashball map in gears 3, when you shoot the scoreboard above and it falls on enemies. Cover system is outdated - Throughout gears of war's life span the cover system has mostly remained the same. For a game centered around taking cover, gears of war as a franchise does way too little with the concept as it it never really develops the idea beyond something that you can hide behind or jump over. In the game, I've always felt like we should have the ability to kick or push cover to crush enemies hiding on the other side of them or in close proximity to them. I can definitely imagine a gears characters doing this considering how big and beefy they are and it would be amazing to see something like this playout in multiplayer. I would love to see weapons, similar to the one in Gears 3's scrapped concepts, where you have this big air gun that can flip over or destroy cover like cars and concrete barriers, it would be amazing to see all the cover destruction again just like gears 2 but more intense. Gears of war needs new mechanics - I'm tired of wall bouncing being the only thing people know how to do in gnasher battles. Wall bouncing has become even worse with gears 5 making it so much easier to pull off than ever before. Gears needs to make other types of movements like strafing relevant again so that people don't get sick and tired of the same old movement. There also needs to be more variety and freedom in the movement, make it less clunky and have different ways to get out of intense situations. Why not have something like a slide animations similar to Fortnite or COD to yeet yourself out of the way when your about to get gnashed? I also think the melee in gears of war has alot of potential that the game fails explore like I always thought it would be cool to have something like a tackle animation when roadie running at an enemy head on like what the Cole train did to those lambent on the thrash ball field in G3.. or idk something more creative than a stupid knife But anyways that was my take, thanks for reading..

Not sure if this is a hot take but I think that if you land a 81% damage with the gnasher it should down players, Cause fucking hell the amount of times I’ve lost gunfights from 1 shot of the gnashers cause I was one pixel to far also wtf is 9:01 talking about?

Really sad that DRDR is just a remaster, but at least it's new DR content. Still, crazy how they just took content out of the game and put it out as double the price of the original

Here's my hot takes: 1) The Gnasher Shotgun meta overshadows the game's more varied weapon strategies. 2) Gears Judgment was unfairly dismissed, as it introduced fresh ideas like mission scoring and challenges. 3) The Locust were better villains than the Swarm, with more compelling lore and menace. 4) Marcus Fenix is overrated, and lacks the emotional depth of characters like Dom or Baird. 5) Gears 2, not Gears 3, is the franchise’s true peak with its perfect balance of story and gameplay. 6) The multiplayer hasn’t evolved much, sticking too closely to the original formula. 7) Horde mode outshines the campaign as the most engaging and fun part of the series.

I’m confused on why anyone thinks gears would survive as a tac shooter no one enjoys when teams play smart and lock down an area from 3 people using lancers it’s the entire reason no one likes dry dock or blood drive in tdm switching the main focus to the lancer would make this situation worse making the core fan base who still plays multiplayer unhappy and it wouldn’t feel like gears also the hammerburst and retro should not be a pickup weapon in gears 5 they aren’t even much better than the lancer without popping actives

i will repeat myself few times but it's because it's my older comments under other "dead rising 3 is trash" videos legit dead rising 3 is what killed dead rising in terms of "killing" it was the knife stab dead rising 4 was a knife twist and a headshot not counting dead rising 4 dead rising 3 was the most limited in the series a huge downgrade weapons sucked unwanted shit of a skill tree shaky camera nick runs like he's dead tired survivors are the most watered down version ever so "improved pathfinding" isn't worth anything psychopaths are just crap i can't say for sure but i'm pretty confident that main story has no time limit and only side missions have limit no really by the time i was hitting hemlock fight the "timeline" was jumping from second day to 7th so i guess i crammed entire week in 3 days BAJILLION COLLECTIBLES AND THEY ALL SUCK HAIRY ASS ON ICE frank statues - 50 was it? combo weapon blueprints - just dumb idea to have what 64 combo weapons and unlike dead rising 2 you have to manually find the blueprint? oh yeah in superior dead rising if you knew that two weapons would make a combo weapon but didn't had the card you would get a scratch card in dead rising 3 you can go fuck yourself good: voice acting doesn't suck ass, graphics i guess and they actually got chuck greene voice actor to play chuck again wich seems like a impossible trick to pull off since 2013. bad: everything else really from shaky camera through story trying to force it's own take on the lore to gun lockers and most of combo weapons being original but boring or just simply stupid or useless with giant minus on console addition that still wasn't put down like it deserves to be - skill tree. whoever invented skilltrees in games deserves to step on lego or worse, there are good examples but 90% of skilltrees are pointless additions on games that were supposed to kickstart console popularity thus ruining fun of playing. also game suffers from being "stock console third person game" with loads of collectibles wether it's blueprints, statues, speakers, fuck knows what else while the meat and potatoes of the game is killing zombies - the only activity that literally requires you to cross the street for more of it and little to none players are willing to go to every icon on the map if it's going to give them "5/20" on the screen or a little bit better version of combo weapon that they already have. DR3 had that shitty shaky camera that was just plain terrible characters (mostly rhonda yes) can't stay within their gimmick and nick while in psychopath cutscenes goes from scared to confident to almost cocky in gameplay or in main story is always scared shitless and "oh man" "jesus" "god" flying all over the place and i swear to god last two psycho fights that are main story related nick forgets he's constantly scared and gets driven by pure boner power. too many collectibles and i swear few blueprints have glitched icons dramatic ends that amount to nothing really, nick just says "how sad" <- sometimes literally THAT GODDAMN SKILL TREE OH MY GOD WHOSE IDEA WAS THIS DID EVERY XBOX ONE LAUNCH TITLE HAD A SHITTY SKILL TREE AND SHAKY CAMERA!? - ok i realised that yes 90% of ps3/xbox launch titles had those retarded things still that doesn't make it nowhere near ok. god that felt good. i'm not touching DR4 tho. I like that old and iconic IPs that lost their identity in the past are given a 2nd chance at redepmtion, such as Silent Hill and Dead Rising - both coming out on a month between them. I'm afraid these remakes are the last stand (in the long-term) for these franchises... if they fail, it would be a very long time, if ever, before we see something else related... but if it succeed... oh boy the future is bright!

I hope if the coalition ever does make like a Marcus fenix collection or SOMETHING like that we get horde 5.0 (E-Day PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU) along side the OTHER hordes that takes all of the enemies whether it be Locust, Swarm, Lambet hell even the the DEEBEES just ALL of them and throws them into the same enemy pool, imagine how chaotic something like blood drive would be if you're getting ambushed by all of these at once, we can even take the "new" elements such as being able to place stuff wherever and the cards/classes system from gears 5 and then idk, add in THE LOADOUT SYSTEM BACK so people can choose what guns they want to start with that AREN'T tied behind classes, add mutators back alongside modifiers from gears 5's difficulty choices (But not have them TIED to difficulty and allow the player to turn on whatever ones they want), just make it the MOST customizable thing ever... also a beast mode 2.0 would be fire but let the players choose from more enemy types and MAYBE make it PVP like overrun, tbh thats just overrun.

Love the idea of bringing back more fun and game changing mutators! I never feel the excitement of having them on, it just makes everything bullet sponges for the most part which isn't fun gameplay IMO. Variety, having to move positions in a hurry or change weapons from close range to long range, and just change the flow of combat in any way! I like Horde Frenzy out of everything because it goes by quickly and its much more hectic, if Horde mode wants to be great again it needs to be FUN the whole way through!

I disagree for the most part. If you’re willing to invest the time, I think it’s an improvement over the previous versions. I do miss some of the enemies from 2.0, like the mauler scion for example, but I think that the warden is a decent replacement for non-boss barrier breakers. And I definitely think you’re minimizing how fun the crafting system and various classes can be. Some of them are garbage for horde, but much better for escape mode (and vice versa). Some of them just seem bad overall, like the promotional classes, but even a couple of those can be good if you know how to use them. Even still, if you only like a handful of them, then ignore the rest. The devs don’t expect all players to fully explore every class. I understand why you might prefer the more basic 2.0, but if you enjoyed 3.0, then you have to admit 4.0 is an improvement.

The problem I have with one and done is against all the gimmick characters. Never mind all characters for me. I am pretty good at ready my opponent. Sometimes it just happens in the second game and then I get just irritated. In the end I can't do anything about it and I never get vocal about it besides myself or if the topic comes up.

Horde mode in Gears 5 sucks. You don't even get to play as a character of your choice. You play as a standard COG soldier. 4 and anything before 5 were better.

I miss when gears would let you have the retro lancer and sawed off shotgun. Online peaked with 3. 4 & 5 aren't bad...but it feels bland just using nurfed lancers and gnashers all the time. 3 was fun and the best (imo) online experience. I hope with e-day they give us more options and re-creates the experience from 3. It's just sad to see what Gears & Halo turned into. I grew up with them.
