This summer has been a disaster!!!! All those floaty summer dresses we could have made.. in reality it was hot water bottles we needed 😂😂 Hope you had a good trip despite the weather

Curious how you are doing now after 6 months have passed. I’m 55 and just got into menopause this year and I’m having all sorts of symptoms. Anxiety and panic have returned and also high heart rates which can be scary. Not to mention, hot flashes and fatigue and no stamina. I was just prescribed HRT last week but now I’m scared to try it because I’ve used progesterone in the past and it sometimes makes me anxious. I just don’t want more anxiety or another trip to the ER if my panic surges my heart rate.

Wishing you a brilliant holiday and hope you get some dry days. Shropshire is a 4 hour drive from me, a bit too far for a sewing day, otherwise I'd definitely be supporting you. Sounds like it's going to be a raging success anyway.

I think the lady McElroy people fabric personally. You could always make covered buttons using different colours in the fabric. 😊

We’re just about to go to Cornwall for a few days so I am changing my plans too. I like the look of the boiled wool project. I’m going to alter a couple of tops to go with wider leg jeans to take with me. I’m in the middle of a soi Winona jumpsuit but may leave it for the moment as today(Thursday) it’s cold and rainy.

I've been eyeing the Amara vest, can't wait to hear how you go.

Hope the weather isnt too bad and that you have a splendid time. We are off to Northern Scotland so waterproofs wellies and stuff that dries easily is needed! I made the Amara but its in my refashion/sort bin, I think coz its probably a bit big! Love the mug !

I'm recently back from a weeks holiday in the Lake District, it didn't rain every day and for this we were grateful !!!! There are lots of outdoor shops in Keswick should you be in that area so you can always treat yourself to something nice on a wet day. I'm sure you will have a fun time it's always good to have a change of scene. Looking forward to seeing your makes when you return from your trip.

Have a great holiday. I have been to the Lake District once, it was just beautiful. I also love the Frank’s dulcet tones in the background. He was such a clever buoy at the end of the video! I like the quick sew options to take with you. I’m actually paying a visit to the Tessuti store in Melbourne tomorrow. I will definitely check out the Amhara. How exciting to start your own sewing social. I live in Kent and there are none near me 😢 so I travel over an hour to Redhill to a sewcial run by Tania (Just Let Me Sew on TH-cam) and I really really enjoy it. Good luck with yours, I’m sure it will be a great success 😊
