The jacket for your dad is amazing! You have really smashed that pattern! It was so lovely to meet you at the weekend and your dress was beautiful! You picked up some really lovely bits! And I love your Easter basket! That liberty fabric 🥰🥰
I love that you made your dad a jacket, that’s so cool. Love your dress too & the Nerida top. I have that fabric too, I must make it up, it looks so good
lovely vlog Ruth! you have been busy, your Dad's jacket is fabulous, how lovely to sew that for him. loved seeing what you got, I regret not getting those cloud buttons, they're lovely and would definitely have grabbed some of that gorgeous leaf denim had I seen it! it looks great in that shirt.
Loved watching this vlog Ruth. You have been very productive. Love your Tessuti top you're wearing. You can tell your dad loves his new jacket. It was a great fit too ❤
Hi Ruth, you’ve been really busy. I always love all of your makes, your Dad’s jacket is fab and he looks great in it. I’ll be checking out a few of the patterns that you’ve mentioned as well, thanks for sharing. ❤❤
Hi Ruth, your recent makes are lovely, and your dad's Ilford looks great on him. I have just bought the Milanda pattern, and will take on board your comments about the sizing 😊
Hi Ruth, yes, I did enjoy looking at all your recent projects. Your dad’s jacket looks looks great on him, lucky dad! You’ve also given me some ideas for my future sewing projects. Thank you x
Your dress is beautiful. It's been fun watching everyone post videos from the Knitting and Stitching Show. Glad you had a good time. Thank you for sharing about your dad. I loved hearing about your special times together and that you finally got him in front of the camera. Your jackets look great. I have that pattern and plan to make it sometime in the future. ❤️☺️
Ruth, I've been hoping you were going to show your milenda dress. Im so glad you did, because i love your version and thanks for the tip about sizing. Your dads Ilford looks great and that colour is stunning. He looks so proud to be wearing it.
Hello Ruth, I've just discovered your channel and I love your makes. Tessuti is a favourite of mine, too and I have 6 Ines shirts. I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more. With greetings from Australia.
Wow! I am super impressed you have so many Ines shirts, I have not found anyone who shares my love for that pattern yet so it's great to meet you Julie!
So, so lovely that you made your dad a jacket and it looks great on him. I am just trying to get hold of the new Atelier Brunette jacket pattern (La Veste) but the paper one is out of stock and I don't like sticking patterns together if I don't have to!!! I loved hearing about your trip to the Stitch Festival. I should be back in the UK by next year so I am definitely going then as it sounds fab. Your fabrics are so beautiful too, especially the one for the Tessuti blouse. By the way, is it possible to improve the sound a bit? You are very softly spoken (which is lovely) but not always very audible and I do like to hear what you say!
Thank you for the feedback 🥰 I don't really enjoy sticking patterns together either but I will if I have to. Do you have any print companies near you? Perhaps you could get the A0 size sent to you?
Sadly I don't have any print companies nearby. I live right out in the sticks in France! I did use an A0 company here but it was expensive and took ages (like weeks!) to be sent back. Like you, I only stick stuff together if I have to, so when I can, I buy paper patterns. It all depends on how desperate I am to get sewing!!!
Hi Ruth, I’m really pleased that you have mentioned the instructions for the Ines I made it recently and felt the same about the collar. Did you follow a particular tutorial or do you know how to do it yourself? I really like the style but the instructions have put me off a bit from making it again. Love your makes btw x
Hi Julie, I had recently made the Fran pj's by Closet Core and the shirt top has a very similar yoke construction to the Ines so I used the method they advise. If you don't have that particular pattern I think any burrito tutorial on YT would help, just make sure you attach the shoulder edge of the facings to the shoulder seam before you roll it all up and you'll be fine. It's worth the effort if you can find a method that works for you because I just love the shape of the Ines and will make many more for all seasons 🥰
@@SeamStressedRuth Hi Ruth, many thanks for your advise I will definitely check out a burrito tutorial for next time. I do love a tessuti pattern and have the Harlow which would be good for a lightweight jacket or shirt. Thanks again x
You are so blessed to have a wonderful Dad! Gorgeous jackets. 😊
Love your Milenda dress the fabric is so gorgeous, your dads jacket is lovely, xx
