Rusty apples Ruth. The colour is great on you and will be good for the Zadie jumpsuit. I think it will have a duel purpose in that fabric........smart and chic if needed but also casual. Love your videos. Very calm and interesting. Good luck.
Yeah Ruth you’re finally making the Zadie I like both fabrics I’m sue either one will look great. Love your latest Nell as well that vintage cotton from Guthrie Ghani is a lovely blue I’ve got in a petrol it’s a lovely fabric happy sewing good luck 🎉💕🤩💕
I’m in exactly the same boat with the zadie - purchased the pattern when released - I don’t really know what’s stopped me - it looks fabulous on everyone!! You may have inspired me to take part in the challenge 😮x
Don’t be afraid of the Winnie!. It’s my favourite pj pattern now, I have even made a pair in traditional pj stripes in double gauze, all I need is the nightcap 🙄
Maybe Apples for the Zadie and the kiwi would be lovely for the M&M Trapeze. Love your newest Nell dress - looks wonderful on you. That fabric is gorgeous!
Go on, make the Zadie Jumpsuit, its amazing and not as hard as you think it will be. I have made three xx be brave, make a twirl if it will feel less frightning lol x
Hi Ruth - I think the red Zadie - it could be russet apple or tomato (which is technically a fruit I think 🤔) I've been watching you whilst sewing a Zadie (viscose linen) and wearing a Zadie (viscose) and I have three more in my wardrobe! It is very forgiving fit wise, seems to look good on everyone and is so comfortable - a magic pattern really - I sized down and do prefer it in a fabric with a bit of drape. Good luck😃
Hi Ruth - I am going to make the Zadie jumpsuit for the first time too! Any tips would be appreciated! I have a green stonewashed cotton to make mine in. Good luck with whatever you decide! xx
Hi Ruth, you picked up some pretty pretty fabric. Is the sew fruity challenge with fabric that looks the same color as fruit, or does it suppose to have fruit in it? I know I hear you describing fabric that looks similar to fruits, but I did not see fruit.
Hi Zelda, my understanding of the Sew Fruity challenge is that it can feature any fruit themed item so that could be as obvious as a fabric with actual fruit in the pattern or fabric that is the colour of fruit. Please check out the # on instagram though as all the information will be in there x
Hi Ruth, I love your vlogs, I could listen to you all day as your voice is so relaxing. I know you love the Ilford Jacket but do take a look at The Rye Jacket by The Sussex Seamstress, it like a princess seamed Ilford and I think you’ll love it x
I like all your options! So I'm no help really - but I do think you should go for the Zadie. Like you I've had the pattern for a while and I definitely have fabric that would work - but I'm scared! - so if you make it that would give me confidence to try... And definitely rusty apples 🍎
Hi Ruth, my choice would be the red fabric, I couldn’t find a russet apple (though isn’t there a russet potato?) however there are heaps of red apple varieties like red delicious (do you have this variety in the UK ) or the Braeburn. And yes, I think it’s time for the Zadie to make an appearance! Can’t wait to see it made up.
Rusty apples will be slightly easier as there won't be any pattern matching. Good luck 😊
I hadn't thought of that, good tip! Thank you 🥰
They’re both lovely but I think the green would look especially nice as a Zadie!

All lovely choices! Think the rusty apples for The Zadie though! Gorgeous Nell dress too 😊
Thanks Emma 🥰
The green would look great in the Zadie!
😅 I'm with you on the Zadie, still haven't made it!!! love the kiwi green for it. great vlog😍
Thank you, I can't believe you have never made one! It would look so good on you x

Ooh I did a vlog on combining challenges- if you chose a big 5 you could combine 4 challenges 😅 I like the rusty apple in the french poetry 😍
Ooo we must be on the same wavelength 🥰 I've not made many big 5 patterns, what's the other challenge? x
Rust Zadie would look amazing. Go for it 😀
I’m in exactly the same boat with the zadie - purchased the pattern when released - I don’t really know what’s stopped me - it looks fabulous on everyone!! You may have inspired me to take part in the challenge 😮x
Hi Paula, I would absolutely encourage you to give it a try. I’ve made mine up now and I really like it x
Don’t be afraid of the Winnie!. It’s my favourite pj pattern now, I have even made a pair in traditional pj stripes in double gauze, all I need is the nightcap 🙄
All I can think of is Wee Willie Winkie now 😄 I will give them a go at some point because I do love the look. Are they a tricky make? x
Absolutely not difficult. I was surprised by how curved the shirt hem is, which does steer them slighly away from Wee Willie Winkie oversized shirt!
Maybe Apples for the Zadie and the kiwi would be lovely for the M&M Trapeze.
Love your newest Nell dress - looks wonderful on you. That fabric is gorgeous!
I think you might be right, the green would make a lovely Trapeze and no front seams so the grid pattern would not be broken up 🥰
Hi Ruth, I vote for the Zadie jumpsuit in the red fabric, good luck deciding ❤
I’m another vote for Rusty Apples Zadie ❤🍎
Thank you 🥰
If not too late I suggest the rust colour fabric as the green grid fabric could get a bit funky around the crossover/crotch area?? X
Good thinking 😁
I like your Zadie choice but definitely go for non matching fabric! x
Good plan 🥰
Russet apples are a thing, so red and the Zadie would look amazing in that fabric
Go on, make the Zadie Jumpsuit, its amazing and not as hard as you think it will be. I have made three xx be brave, make a twirl if it will feel less frightning lol x
I can do this 💪😆
Zadie designed by a kiwi so the green for me.
I didn't think if that, good point! 🥰
Rusty Apples 🍎 Xx
Thank you 🥰

Well that is a big endorsement for the Zadie if ever I heard one! Thank you so much for the nudge xx
rusty apple for sure!
Thank you 🥰

So far my only tip is make sure you have enough fabric lol I'm having to make continuous bias binding as I couldn't fit the strip on in one piece 🤦♀️
Green fabric with zadie. It is much easier construction than you think 😊
It's all about the blue raspberry these days 😅

@@SeamStressedRuth Well, if it is fabric that's the color of fruit, I am totally cool.

Oh thank you Kerry, I will go and check that out now 🥰

Thanks for voting for the Apple Zadie, we can do this Avril 🥰
Hi Ruth…..
Ruth USA says……
JUST DO IT!!!!
Make the Zadie Jumpsuit in that beautiful blue cotton! You will thank me later! 😊
Hahaha how can I possibly not after such a positive nudge! Thanks Ruth 🤩 xx
I think the Zadie with the rust tencil. You can do it!
Yes, i've got this (hopefully) 🥰
KIWI fabric for sure!

From Ruth to Ruth….
Just Do IT!!! Make the Zadie in that beautiful blue cotton!
You might be right there with the Russets 😆 we have Golden Delicious apples which are oddly very green and not golden lol The Zadie is on it's way xx
I prefer the fruit salad zadie.... failing that..rusty apples ❤
rusty apple Zadie!
Thanks Mary 🥰
Zadie in rusty apple. 😊
I think the kiwi Zadie 👍 x
Hmmm 🤔 Tricky….. I think it has to be the rosy red apple. Go !! 😅xx
Time is short, it could be apples to save on pattern matching 🥰
Rust zadie for me
Kiwi for the Zadie
It's so nice isn't it, it could be the one 🥰
I think you should bite the bullet and make the Zadie jumpsuit xx
Apple!
Tamarillo???
Yes!!! That's it! A Tamarillo Jumpsuit 😍
Red 🍎 or it could be 🍒
Oh yes I forgot about cherries!
