Sewing Room Tour! Plus a super easy way to sew in tiny baby cuffs

- Hi everyone, thank you all so much for watching my vlogs.
I am sorry I didn't upload anything last week. I went up to Scotland for a couple of days and ended up catching Covid so have been pretty unwell for the last week. I have tried to cobble together something resembling a normal vlog so I do hope you will forgive me for the the lack of very much actual sewing going on.
Today I'm giving you a tour of my small sewing space as well as showing you how I attach those tiny cuffs to baby and children's clothing. I will also show you some recent Christmas makes and my #agifttonovember23 entry in more detail.
As usual, any snoring you can hear in the background is my little dog, Frank 🥰

Thank you for the cuff tutorial. I have made clothes for my grandsons and never thought about putting the cuff on in this way. I find it so fiddly. This is brilliant. Definitely going to try this method next time 😊☀️

Wow great tip/tutorial on tiny cuffs. Never thought of sewing them in the flat & I always struggle with them. Will give it a go soon 😊
Oh i'm so glad you found it helpful. It's so tricky trying to sew them in the round so this way is definitely my preferred method 🥰

Most ready to wear stretch garments have the rib put on first like that and then a small row of stitching going up the cuff by the seam to secure the overlocking

I love B&T patterns, their cuff leggings and the ringer tee are my go to for my grandchildren for casual wear or pyjamas. I have the vintage sweatshirt but haven’t made it yet, love your versions! I’m curious that you use your sewing machine for your cuff rather than your overlocker?
Hi, you should definitely try out the sweatshirt its really cute 🥰 I tend to sew cuffs and neck bands on with my sewing machine first to make sure I get a nice even seam and then go around with my overlocker to finish the raw edges. I guess I'm just a bit fussy, you can definitely go straight in with the overlocker if you prefer xx
