Don’t feel bad. I broke my promise also.. I couldn’t resist, it was Mother’s Day, I had a gift card to MOOD FABRICS and yes, I bought fabric from other websites as well. But I blame that on some of the sewists that I watch on TH-cam. When you show your fabrics from your haul, it’s difficult to resist 😢 from going to the fabric websites and purchasing the same fabrics that I like. But that’s okay, We are both okay and one day someone will make beautiful garments from the MILES AND MILES OF FABRIC that we fabric addicts have.😢😢😢🙏🏻

😂😂 Frank tried to eat the mic to stop you, telling everyone that you bought fabric. No guilty feelings, please, as we all do the same. And I've just been gifted 15 yards off cotton lawn in three different designs and colours, plus I bought 12 metres of viscose and linen fabric. I'm exhausted looking at it 😂😂😂 ❤❤

Hi Ruth. Have only recently found your channel and am really enjoying your content. I love Tessuti patterns too and I dont live too far from their store. A visit to drool over their beautiful fabrics is always a highlight of a trip to Melbourne!

There’s nothing wrong with spending money on fabric if you sew it up and put it to good use. I must confess that I buy more than I can get sewn up, so I am working on that. Wish me luck 😂

If you're bad, then so am I 😂 I've bought way too much fabric recently! Your fabrics are solid staples, you'll get loads of wear out of them so I'd say you've actually been very practical and logical 😉

Frank is hilarious. I used to have a (much adored) spaniel who liked to roll in fox poo, so I am used to horrid dog habits!!! As for the fabric habit - life is short, do what makes you happy. I am just starting the Papercut Patterns Ashling shirt with an AGF fabric. They do such gorgeous prints so I am really looking forward to seeing your dress.
I love that outlook! It does make me happy, so long as I can fit it in my storage 😂

Than you again I love your plans and your linen wardrobe. You could change your fabric ban to second hand fabric is allowed that would mean that you could go shopping at lots of opportunity shops for linen sheets and vintage fabric. 🤣🤣
That is a great idea! I do enjoy an 'op shop' rummage but will I stick to it, that's another question lol x
😂 last week I thought - I won't buy any more fabric for months. Yesterday I bought 2 fabrics from one shop and I've got 2 more in the basket of another one so no judgement from here.
Also, the word butano is Spanish for the gas butane so an odd name to give to that pattern. Anyway, I'd call it boo-tah-no 😊
Oh that is an odd name then, perhaps we will all just look super hot when wearing it? 😂 Does a fabric ban ever really work, not for me, I'm too easily distracted by the fancy new stuff x
Do you have enough of the denim to make a Darling Ranges shift/Shirt dress? I think that would really look cute and be comfy for summer. Loved seeing grubby Frank at the end!

I don’t know anyone who could resist temptation of the Fabric Godmother sale! I got some cream viscose linen and a couple of pieces of black fabric. I’ve made black sorona linen trousers last year . My favourite pattern is the Tyra trousers from Ploen patterns ( wide legged). All the best with your sewing plans!

Love all your new fabrics,the patchwork denim and the black linen look gorgeous. I also have a problem with buying fabric 🤦♀️😂I’ve also just found a new trouser pattern that fits well, it’s the True Bias Emerson pants and they are a really good fit for me.
Ooo yes I have seen those ones, I think Sew Do It Emma has made a few of them too. It's great when you find your 'go to' pattern, now you can just focus on fabrics 😂
