You did get my hopes up with your last reply about the possibilities of finding Dead Kennedys for $3.99, so I'm still looking! And if I can find that for that price, I'll have faith I can find anything (like Sonic Youth, Mother Love Bone and maybe even Bad Brains at 5 for $1. Is that pushing it a bit? I am so happy to see that someone considers Sowing the Seeds of Love so great and I agree, I think it's an amazing album. Yes, what a very successful 2024, some great pickups. Two years ago, I made a resolution that I would find and pick up more Grateful Dead, and it just happened all that year without me even having to try very hard. That was when I found the copy of Europe '72 for a quarter. So, this year, my resolution is going to be More Punk! Now I'm just going to sit back and watch it happen!

"....trying to hold it back this year...." lol Good luck with that Steve. Lots of good records. I didn't know the Kennedys didn't like that orange album cover - I always thought it was much better than the black one. Incredible that you found that Cure album still in shrink. Best wishes for 2025 - don't hold back!

You have kept quiet about your Osmonds sing Metallica box set. Or your original Spice girls first lp. Time you came out the closet and admitted you are the worlds biggest Boney m collector. You have the true spirit of someone who only buys from the front of the shop and your disregard for singles is pathetic. We know all about your selection hardly original.

I'm into Soul and R&B. The Funk I never thought much of. Sure they had the odd good tune but all in all I wasn't a fan Steve...... In Britain they have a genre they call Northern Soul and some of those records are worth quite a bit of money. I've a lot of 45s from that era.... I don't have Watermelon Man by Hancock I got it by Buddy Guy and Albert King.... For me the last great black music tune was by The Time, "Jungle Love". That tune ought to be in the rock and roll hall of fame. It's a MONSTER.... Back in the R&B days I tore the crotch out of all kinds of dress pants doing the splitz it wasn't funny. I remember my Mum sewing them up one time talking on the phone to a girlfriend and laughing at me spitting my pants all the time. Ahh the Spinners, Bobby Smith their lead singer made that band. And last but not least James Brown. I've some history with that Man. LOL..... Later Gator.....

Betty Davis, excellent choice for Saturday night! Wooohooo Steve the preacher, can I get an Amen? A car chase at 10 mph....who was chasing him, a turtle. Ice Cream Castle is a great album, one that I thought would be easy to find, but I haven't found one yet. Now, Skunk Juice. You know that with an album name like that, it's gonna be dirty funk. I am just like you when talking about those soulful harmonic bands, I hated them growing up, I love them now. And you could obviously be one of The Delfonics, in fact, I bet you were in a previous life. Great response!

We had already connected with MFidelity but will be checking out MyVinylAttic as well. We really appreciate the wonderful response we've gotten to our humble little channel, and having the Steve stamp of approval is amazing. Boris, yeah they are a tough listen and we mostly don't get on with them too well. However, we have one album by them, called Attention Please. It's their shoegaze/dreampop/noise album, totally different and worth a listen. They also have an album called New Album and that's more dreamy as well. Will check out that Cosmonauts album, sounded good. Blizzard of Oz was my first cassette received as a Christmas present along with my first cassette walkman, brings back memories for sure! Loved it! I forgot about the db's! Added to my spotify list. Ozzy! Many musicians and fan's minds were BLOWN when they first heard Blizzard. I'm trying to remember the musician's name but can't, anyway, he got the album and played it on repeat until the vinyl wore out. There is a lot of context behind the Blizzard album to unpack for those who are/were interested. Bob Daisley, bass, who wrote many lyrics and melodies for Ozzy over the decades, approached dark subjects from a questioning perspective or would often build in a positive twist. What I mean is, the songs on dark subjects are not a celebration and don't go so far down the rabbit hole that there is no way back, if that makes sense? Probably why Ozzy's sound has a pop-hard edge sound that is accessible to more listeners. Another commenter here was right about the original intent. As the band made up of Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, and Rhoades began to form, they were recruited by $haron to be in a band called "Blizzard of Ozz". At the last second, without the knowledge of the other 3 members, $haron made the decision to pull the rug out from under the band. The album released, and Bob held it in his hands for the first time reading in shock. They were both let go not long after Diary was released. Another "dirty trick" if you will, look at the back cover, you'll see Tommy Aldridge and bassist Rudy Sarzo live in concert. They replaced the original back cover removing the original members who are on the album! Collector's like to have both pressings. I recommend audiobooks "For Facts Sake" by Bob Daisley, "I Am Ozzy" and "Off the Rails - Aboard the Crazy Train" by Rudy Sarzo. What's with the harsh comments from random people? I can't believe the inconsiderate nerve and lack of awareness people have to leave a negative, unconstructive hit-and-run comments. You're an important part of the music community and we visit your channel because we enjoy your approach to making videos, like we're friends catching up. You've handled those comments brilliantly, I just wanted to show my support. Cheers ~Corey

Sharon Osbourne saved Ozzy but she was a terrible person in my opinion. I know she treated people badly and screwed others. It so sad. I feel Ozzy had a good heart but Sharon was ruthless, just ask her dad lol. I loved your assessment of the Bizzard of Oz. That was fascinating but not surprising. I need to check out one of those books. Thank you also for the kind words. I get a few hecklers once in awhile but I don’t let it bother me. Some have become loyal watchers because I respond with a thanks. You are 100% correct about what I do, it is me talking to my friends. I do this to communicate with people I really like. Hi Steve. I fully agree with you on artists political opinions.Who cares what their views are, i'm interested in music. Same thing with their personal lives, would i hang out with junkies or alcoholics? No! But will i listen to their music? Yes i will. Pasi

Thank you Pasi, I thought those questions were a little weird. Why get upset about someone else’s opinion. Let them have it and follow your own. Like you, I’m here for the music!
