      @stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 That is completely fine. I know you get tons of messages. I just knew when I heard it that you would like it. I might be lucky that i just play mine at my record store, so my wife doesn't have to hear it. Lol

      @stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 It is right outside of Scott Air Force Base just over the border from St Louis (Vinyl Zone Records). I am friends with a lot of local VC members. Chance, Brandon (Mrhoffame), and Robert Fifthen. We have a fun record community here. I also run a record show on the Illinois side (Metro East Record Show). It is very hard not to keep everything for sure.

    Hello Steve; Khana Bierbood, Thailand funk, soul & roll. High Vis, post alternative new wave. A Peace Of Us, syn, dream pop. Chris Cross, Mellow-Mas music. Always nice to receive VCLT from a friend. Dr. Dre, put your fingers in the air. Clifton Chenier Zydeco master, Louisiana Boogie hot sauce. Take care, Tina & Pat!~

      Louisiana Boogie Hot Sauce, I like that. Fits my eating habits! I love a little spice but as I’m getting older I know that will probably be coming to an end , sigh. A lot of different sounds today Tina and Pat

    Clifton was great. Beau Jocque and his Zydeco Hi-Rollers made some great cd's in the nineties. He passed in 1999, if you ever see one grab it. Powerful live shows. I was fortunate to have seen them four or five times.

      I am jealous, you have been to some zydeco shows. I have heard of Beau Jocque but having nothing from them. It is just such happy danceable music, been a fan since my early 20s.

The foundation of those songs draws from my all-time favorite 70s funk artists. I hope you enjoy the albums. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.

    Love the Christmas psychedelia fest..yeah, a few tokes on something exotic would definitely blow yer mind..😛..nice idea for the logo with the rising vinyl record as the sunrise..you could also have a silhouette of Kat walking towards it..would be a nice nod to him.
    The Thai record had some good energy going on, elements of Santana in the first song, then indie rock??.
    A Peace of Us sounds intriguing..I like it when artists don't just carbon copy covers and make it unique
    I didn't know Clifton Chenier..sounds fun.
    Hope the cold clears up soon Steve .

      Rob, what a wonderful thought about Kat Walking towards it, I like that a lot. Yeah I think I would look pretty cool. A Peace of Us was a great Christmas album, to your point they created something original. Having Sonic Boom really added some fun sounds to the album. I am a big fan of Zydeco Music Rob. When I look at discogs a lot of the albums for sale are out of Europe, pretty crazy. It is very regional music but I’m a big fan of it

    High Vis looks interesting & I love the sleeve, looks like the view outside my living room window! Speaking of UK indie pop have you heard 'Midas' by the band Wunderhorse? Reckon you would love it..or your money back!. Equal parts Smashing Pumpkins,Nirvana & even CBGB's era guitar stuff. Have a great Sunday Steve!

      Harris, I do like a money back guarantee I’m sad about the room from your living room, it appears to be cold and bleak. I had this vision you had some type of country estate with peacocks roaming the grounds probably also have some nice statue outside of a Greek good. I guess I had that all wrong. The music in High Vis was top notch. Wunderhorse sounds very interesting, I will check them out, maybe get a 12 inch single while I’m at it

    Man Christopher Cross still sounds exactly the same as he did in the 80's, I used to have his first two albums but got rid of them at some point, thinking they were kinda wimpy but I guess he has been reappraised with the whole yacht rock thing trending in more recent years. I was into NWA but by the time The Chronic came out I had mostly tuned out of rap so I've never owned or heard that one in full. The Thai album sounds good, lots of energy. Have a good week Steve

    • @stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147
      @stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I love that first Christopher across album Doug, it is a favorite but I never bought anything else from him. I figured he would have the perf3ct voice for a Christmas album and he did! I grew up with yacht rock so I really like that genre, for the most part. After the mid 90s I totally drifted from rap until Eminem came around, I did like his first couple of albums

    Mike, is it x-mas time over there too? The Thai album has very groovy artwork & it looked like it's on the great Guru Guru label. High Vis sounds great & had an instantly familiar sound. I've wondered about Dean & Britta & Sonic Boom. I worked in retail when I was young so normally I steer clear of any x-mas music. Thankfully that doesn't sound like x-mas music at all in your samples. Chris Cr0ss should redo Ride Like The Wind to Ride On A Sleigh. Vinyl Richie showed Echo Chamber. It's good. I like Black Flag, but the Process Of Weeding Out is a tough listen. Mike just by showing the Chronic you've probably reignited the East Coast/West Coast rivalry in the VC. I've never seen that many records with accordions Mike!! You've done it again Mike. Cheers...Mike
