Smaller Allotment News - What's happening and why?
I've recently made a big decision about my allotment, this video explains the what and more importantly the reasons why. Hope you all understand why I don't normally share this sort of thing and the reasons why I had to this time.
Apologies for being cryptic - I don't want to spoil any surprises in the video - any questions, drop me a comment.

Tense Times At The Allotment - Local Horticultural Show and Annual Plot Inspection
มุมมอง 36416 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Some tense moments at the allotment as I prepare for the local horticultural show : Are my onions as good as last year? What colour raffia do I use for the beetroot? Can I find 6 cherry tomatoes that look the same? Its a great time to have a full plot tour though as the allotment is looking great with the knowledge the annual plot inspection is looming. It's turned out to be a pretty long video...

Health and Happiness Dave, that should be first on anyone's list. Once something becomes too much work or stressful then it isn't much fun anymore. I'm very glad to hear that you and the family are doing well after the year you've had. Wishing you the best wishes for great health and happiness Dave! 16:36 - You've gone and made me cry 😭, great spot for Eostre Phoenix and looking at her being dug up is showing some good roots developing. Great spot also for your other trees by the grassy knoll. If the golden raspberries don't take off, see if you can sneak out some of the little suckers that normally popup and transplant a couple of them.

She can be called Phoenix as she is rising from the ashes and born again. I like different mythologies so how about Eostre. She is the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic goddess of spring and rebirth, every April they held feasts in her honour, which is likely where Easter comes from. We're both Star Wars nerds so it can be as simple as R2. Aye - I've nothing to complain about really, the ones that grew are completely fine, no signs of rot or disease, there are some OK sized ones, they're just a few smaller ones than normal, when you bear in mind they cost me £5 all in and they have virtually looked after themselves, I'll take that as a win. I like the sound of the onion picking. Google tells me its a autonomous sensory meridian response or ASMR. A euphoric experience triggered by specific acoustic or visual stimuli. It also compared this to pimple popping which for many brings a similar experience. You know your onions Dave.
