  • I've recently made a big decision about my allotment, this video explains the what and more importantly the reasons why. Hope you all understand why I don't normally share this sort of thing and the reasons why I had to this time.
Apologies for being cryptic - I don't want to spoil any surprises in the video - any questions, drop me a comment.
    Cheers
    Dave x

So glad you are both ok. It does at least mean you are more aware of any health issues you need to contend with 🥰. I think what works for you is what is the best decision. Does it sound like fun to have a huge allotment 🤷‍♀️ sure but in reality do we need one. Nice to only grow what is needed to a)have a healthy meal and b) what makes you happy as the last thing you need is stress. Thank you for letting us know, it’s worrisome when people we have watched for years just we’ll drop off the face of the earth. Needless to say look after yourself or the Mrs will most likely kick your keester, Ali ☔️🇨🇦

@@myrustygarden Thankyou, there are some silver linings to all this, I'm ok really, but had a lucky escape and a reminder to focus on what's important really. I had to tell all in a video as it was the clincher in the decision to focus on a smaller patch. My wife is very supportive and certainly on my case if I'm not looking after myself , bless her she's had to give me lifts all over the place, so it's great I've got people looking after me. Cheers

Hi Dave I enjoy watching all your videos, sorry to hear you've not been too well lately and thank god you and your son were okay that day well you have taken notice of your warning some people don't, you have downsized your plot very wise and are striving to make a less stressful life for yourself it's about enjoying what you are doing not how big your plot is at the end of the day. Before you go I was wondering if you would show us your caravan again it was so exciting seeing it that first time.
Thanks and all the best x

@@MemeMemecrook Thankyou, I was thinking about it anyway but that incident was the clincher. I'm in good health generally but it did make me feel old to be honest with you. Sorry but I've passed the caravan onto another plot holder as I wasn't using it and seemed like someone else would get more benefit from it than me. There is a glimpse of it in last week's video. I do have the caravan on my older plot, but I've never shown inside that one, maybe I should give it a clean and do a quick tour. Sorry to disappoint. Thanks for the support.

Dave, very pleased to hear you and your son are alright after the event. Thanks also for the update about earlier health issues. Your call is a good one. Good potato news. New variety to me. Golden raspberries new this year too.Like ✨️ that name for your companion plant, the apple tree

@@sianwarwick633 I think without the incident I may have just carried on with too large of a plot, but it helped me focus on what was really important so let's see it as a blessing in disguise. Potatoes were surprisingly large, I'd definitely grow again. Thankyou

A very good decision to shorten the plot. Now it will have more love and you will enjoy it more. Take good care of yourself, which is the most important thing, and give yourself time so that this new stage will surely be wonderful. Sorry for my English.♥
