Well done Dave 🏆i knew those onions were a winner😄. Congrats with the show, i just love beetroot, i eat everyday. i wud'nt have minded having some of your parsnips, they'l be beautiful. your apple and pear trees look amazing, all that fruit😍. Delighted to see that apple tree you moved so healthy . To me the plot looks huge, dunno how you manage it all, alot of work goes into it for sure to keep it so tidy. I really love that you have flowers, fruit , veg, everything on your plot. maybe next year you might enter flowers. Thanks for this video it was inspiring, looking forward to next year already😁
Thankyou - I had a lot of onions to pick from, so picking which 3 made it was the tricky part. The pears have now ripened at home and are delicious. I'm really pleased with how the apple tree is coming on and a bit surprised too. The plot is a bit too big to be honest , its a lot of work to keep on top of but some news coming soon on that so stay tuned. I entered flowers last year but none were good enough at the right time this year, maybe next year. Thanks for watching and commenting , much appreciated. Cheers
Okay, looks like it was a season of two halves for you ? Congratulations on your prizes for beets and onions. Interesting fruit trees, I will have to look at those vids. Your sweetcorn did well, i would have saved that harvest for last in line and boiled it immediately. Looks like your plot is quite under control, considering the variety of vegetables, peas etc. I was really rooting for the pumpkins 🎃.
@@sianwarwick633 its all a bit late but a final flourish happened to save the season. The sweetcorn didn't last long one we got it home :) , I'm really pleased with how the plot looks and the pumpkins were worth the wait. Thanks for the comments . Cheers
Congrats on your two show places. Out door tomatoes with no blight wow. Here in the UK that is very good. You have done well with the plot especially as the weather has definitely been very challenging this year 👍
Thanks - I'm rapidly picking my tomatoes before the blight no doubt arrives, its been late coming but finally seeing some good crops after a tough year - Thankyou
Hi Dave, have you ever made apple cider vinegar with the fallen apples, I did this year as I preserve a lot. The plot did well considering the bad weather you all had over there. Great result from the show too.
@@rhondafarmer4824 hi , no I haven't but I'll definitely look into it. Yes a good end to a troublesome season. Thankyou it was just a bit of fun but glad of the result. Cheers
Congratulations Dave on the show again this year! Great job as the plot is looking awesome, all your hard work has paid off. Lots of good looking veg and fruit, you must be eating like a king. 28:23 - great to see the apple tree coming back so well, looks like he or she did a bit of growing this year. I think you need to give it a name.
@@TheGeek365 thanks , it's coming good in the end this year after a tricky start. The apple tree was a bonus and really pleased it survived, I would be honoured if you were to name the tree . Let me know and it will be referred by that forever more.
@@DigDaveDig This is a great honour and my wife asked me why I was lost in thought today. I told her that I have an opportunity to name an apple tree in England and didn't want to mess it up. The look she gave me was priceless and I'm pretty sure she will be scheduling a meeting with a specialist next week. I'll give you a four options if you don't like them it is fine with me. She can be called Phoenix as she is rising from the ashes and born again. I like different mythologies so how about Eostre. She is the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic goddess of spring and rebirth, every April they held feasts in her honour, which is likely where Easter comes from. We're both Star Wars nerds so it can be as simple as R2. We can do a bit of nostalgia and go back to November 2019 and the first video I watched of yours, Epic Mooli vs Radish Battle and name her Mooli......or Marshmallow as you never bring any with your plot fires! Dave's #1 Fan 🥰
@@TheGeek365 haha, I can imagine the pressure of such an important decision, you have obviously put a lot of thought into it which of course I appreciate. How about "Eostre Phoenix" , I think a double barrelled name has a lot more gravitas to it.
Thankyou, I don't mind feedback at all, sometimes I do get a bit carried away with showing everything, and it can get a bit bumpy sometimes - thanks for the comment
Wow! Your apple tree is looking amazing! So gald it made it 🍎🍎🍏🍏
@@Tamsins_Potager me too, a bit if a surprise to be honest but just shows the power of nature. Cheers

Nothing better than eating freshly picked!
A lot of the raspberries don't make it home to be honest , a nice allotment snack as you're wandering around :)
👍👍👍
cheers
Well done on your 2 second places 👍👍
Thanks - we knew the onions were good but its nice to get a little card saying so :)
Congratulations on your awards. Great video and harvest. Camera moving a little too quickly, hope you don't mind me saying
