Thanks for watching! We use to do it much simpler as well, but times have certainly changed. Unfortunately, "free" bait is getting harder and harder to find. Especially in the state we live in, many bakeries or grocery stores are prohibited from giving away outdated items as they fear it may be used for human consumption, and many laws and mandates have came into affect due to such. Do you still bear hunt often?

Thank you! This was was just the initial set, one the bear come in we monitor how they open the bait then set the logs accordingly to provide the best shot opportunity from the stand! Great advice!

It was a fun trip, with tons of different animals. They made it safely to Wilow, AK.

The Dall Sheep, Grizzly Bears, and Bison were the highlight of the trip!

No, no difference in cooking. We use all cast iron at home, we just prefer the cast aluminum when camping as maintenance and care is a little easier.

@VentureNorthwithWheezyOutdoors all the stores around here seem to only carry the cast iron, what brand is the cast aluminum you use? The weight savings has to be substantial.

It is actually an Aluminum Cast pan we purchased about 10 years ago. We love this pan so much and use it nearly daily. We actually picked up another one today on our way home from camping this weekend. Now we have one for home and one for Alaska. We bought ours at Piragis Northeoods Company in Ely, MN.
