We use to uses balloons and funnel at the bait sites and add grease and oil in the balloons and put them up on the trees around 7ft and when the bears break the balloons the bears' would have the grease all over them and walk all around.

That's awesome!! And a great technique for private land! Unfortunately with hunting public, we cannot "litter"... perhaps there is a market for biodegradable balloons?? Lol

Thank you! This was was just the initial set, one the bear come in we monitor how they open the bait then set the logs accordingly to provide the best shot opportunity from the stand! Great advice!
